Incredible resort with top tier staff. All the amenities and attention to detail of a high quality resort but in such a relaxed tranquil environment. You’re right in the middle of the city but you’d never know it. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Playa. Also, our host Daniel was the BEST. Super attentive and helpful for anything we needed. 5-star service all the way

The location and the beach resort itself is beautiful. Nice pools, restaurants and a great breakfast. The room cleaning was great aswell. What bothered me the most was the gym. Two machines were broken, the treadmill was out of service just like the crosstrainer. From a five star resort that is the least that can be expected that you have a proper machine to run on. Also the show pressure in our room was really bad. I‘m usually not one to complain about these things, but I never felt fully clean because almost no water came out.

Relaxing hotel in a prime location.
Great location, lots of things to do within walking distance. 5th Avenida super close. Entertainment team was very fun, especially Josue. Poolside yoga, Zumba and Aqua Dance were a great addition to lots of pool time. Food in the Olas restaurant was not great but Fuego restaurant was exceptional. Beautiful beach side location too. We chose the half board which worked out fine since there were so many good choices for food nearby. Overall a solid choice when staying in Playa if you want a quieter, peaceful experience.

Very sad to leave this review. Booked room through official hotel website, paid in full. Followed cancellation policy and cancelled well ahead of time via email. No response after multiple follow up emails. Phone calls to front desk only got responses like “we will leave a message to the reservation team”. Finally after leaving a dispute with my credit card company, they sent an email confirming cancellation. But still refused to issue a refund. Was a lot of headache trying to work with them. Do not book this hotel if theres any chance you might cancel.

We had a Mahekal time!
We stayed in an oceanfront palapa for 4 nights and had an unforgettable time! The resort is maintained very well, all the pools are clean with plenty of chairs for all guests—because there are 4 pools to choose from! Having our palapa right on the beach was a wonderful view to wake up to everyday. It could be a little noisy with people partying on the beach but it didn’t bother us too much. We enjoyed all the food, we ate ceviche everyday! All the staff were so generous and friendly—special shoutout to Manuel at Ola’s restaurant. He greeted us everyday at breakfast and always remembered that my husband liked habanero sauce. But I also cannot forget to mention Daniel, our concierge. He made our vacation so special by helping us at every step. He helped us make reservations for dinner, the spa, recommended local restaurants, booked us a taxi transfer, organized jet skis—there was nothing he could not do for us. He made everything so easy—I need a Daniel in my life everyday! We cannot wait to return.
