Refund my 105.00 upgrade that wasnt an upgrade instead of being so tunnel vision. HECTOR front desk never bothered to get back regarding my refund for upgrade EVER ...IGNORED ME ...WILL BE TAKING THIS TO TRIP ADVISOR...Charged me for upgrade to be close to my friend and put me a mile away from the lobby on a totally different floor ever though I had severe back issue and never reached out to refund that portion of my stay...Manager doesn't care

Nov 03, 2026Lopesan Resort Review
The resort is very beautiful, large, well taken care of and filled with many amenities available to customers. Our personal butler Jimmy was outstanding with his response time, checking on us during our stay, and when filling our requests throughout the trip.

Nov 02, 2026Nice Hotel, but Disappointing Customer Service
The hotel and facilities were great, but unfortunately, the service was a major disappointment. The staff were consistently rude and unwelcoming, and the overall level of customer service was far below expectations. We also experienced several issues with our room. The AC wasn’t working, and it took six separate requests before anyone finally addressed it. The coffee maker wasn’t working either, and despite asking for a solution for over three days, nothing was done. It’s frustrating when guests have to repeatedly follow up on basic requests and still don’t receive proper assistance. A nice hotel and good facilities are not enough to make a stay enjoyable when the customer service is lacking. Management really needs to pay more attention to staff professionalism, responsiveness, and the way guest concerns are handled. There is definitely room for improvement.

Nov 01, 2026An Uncomfortable and Disappointing Experience as a Tattooed Woman
Unfortunately, my experience at Lopesan Costa Bávaro has been far below my expectations, particularly when it comes to the treatment I have received from the staff. I am a woman with visible tattoos, and throughout my stay, I have experienced excessive and uncomfortable staring from both male and female employees. I am not referring to occasional glances out of curiosity, which I completely understand. I am talking about repeated situations where employees stare at me from head to toe, maintain prolonged eye contact, and engage in conversations with one another while looking directly at me. The behavior has been so noticeable that even a Dominican local who was accompanying me pointed it out and commented on how excessively the employees were staring at me. These incidents have not been limited to one particular area. They have occurred throughout the resort, including restaurants, pools, and common areas. On top of that, the overall quality of service has been mediocre and unwelcoming. On several occasions, I have felt that I was not receiving the same level of friendliness and attention as other guests. What disappoints me the most is that I have reached the point of choosing to leave the resort to eat at outside restaurants, despite paying for an all-inclusive vacation, simply to avoid feeling uncomfortable around the staff. This has resulted in additional expenses and has significantly affected my vacation experience. I cannot speak for the intentions of every employee, nor can I definitively say that these experiences are entirely related to my tattoos. However, the repeated behavior has made me feel constantly watched, judged, and unwelcome. I came here to relax and enjoy my vacation, not to feel as though I need to change my appearance or avoid the very facilities and services I paid to enjoy. A resort of this caliber should provide a welcoming, respectful, and professional environment for all guests, regardless of their gender, physical appearance, or tattoos. My biggest disappointment has not been the facilities themselves, but the lack of comfort, hospitality, and respect I have experienced throughout my stay. I sincerely hope management takes experiences like mine seriously and reinforces the importance of professional, respectful, and nonjudgmental treatment of all guests. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider whether I would ever return to this property or recommend it to other travelers, particularly women with visible tattoos.

We had a wonderful time . The food was excellent. I enjoyed the beach. The resort offered everything I wanted except music from your country. Sanel was the best butler. He was attentive to my requests. He was polite and gave history of the hotel . I was impressed by the spa. I would come again
