  Fantastic hotel with lots to do, fun pool activities and a great gym. The hotel had everything we needed with great food

  Arrival at hotel it seemed huge. We arrived on Monday & it was towards the evening. Seemed really quiet and we thought it might be abit too quiet for us. The buffet was closed and we hadn’t booked a restaurant. However this wasn’t a problem getting in and we got a restaurant quickly. Our room was ok. It was 2 double beds with 4 of us staying. The room had a balcony and we had a gorgeous sea/pool view. The room itself was abit of a squeeze for all our stuff. Only 1 wardrobe but lots of drawers plus bathroom space was limited but we managed as we were rarely in the room. They did offer an upgrade to Ultimate but we decided against. The bathroom was difficult to work with as you enter the room and bathroom area was part of the room. There wasn’t a door to seperate the room and annoying if you open the front door whilst one of you is coming out of the shower. However, the room was so close to the pool, just 1 set of stairs and right by the pool. The lunch was right next to the pool & all the food was cooked on the bbq right there. The buffet lunch only opened up on Thursday when the resort got busier. Drinks were good. We were topped up with bottled beer in our room and the selection was good from the bar. Mostly it was their spirits but if asked for absolute or tanquery that was available part of all inclusive. Water was topped up in the room by the day & never ran out. If needed things in the room eg extra slippers, shower gel, even nanchos, can be ordered all on then app. And they were so quick. The gym was amazing. The walk to the gym seemed abit far at first however once we got our bearings and figured our way round, it wasn’t even that bad. They had the American dinner stuff on the other end from our room (gym, spa, coffee shop, icecream parlor, water park) but it was about a 10 min walk and not too bad in the end. The activities in the hotel were great. The entertainers particularly Pokémon, who was at the pool was so engaging .The water aerobics was a bit of fun & we laughed so much. The Friday pool party was amazing. The app showed us what was going to be on but the pool guys also kept telling everyone on the mics. The evening entertainment was good too, Halloween themed act at the theatre 1 day and Michael Jackson night etc. they also had later adult entertainment but we didn’t go. Nor did we go into the casino. The spa wasn’t included so had to pay extra & there was no indoor pool. But we didn’t need it. The only issue was the touts around the pool. They were bugging at first but they soon realised we didn’t want to go on excursions etc. they would hang around the side of the pool and every time we’d go past it was just annoying & getting in the way. The kayaks were free and there were some really nice market stalls. (Friday & Saturday they have some stall holders setup inside the hotel grounds, by the pool & they were overpriced) but the ones on the beach were good too. . What we didn’t anticipate for was the tipping.They all do it and you get drinks etc brought to you if you tip. Overall I’d say it was great. Food was good. I’d say for a full vegetarian the variety is less. But I had fish so not a big problem. The kids loved the food. The icecream stands were amazing. They had a free juice stand just behind the pool where you can help yourself. The pool was massive. And there were smaller pools just behind us. The beach was right next to the pool and beds were available throughout. We did put our towels down whilst heading to breakfast & nobody said anything to us. Breakfast was amazing. The choices for kids was all the cakes/pastries & so much more. There were multiple egg stations, all freshly made upon request & never run out. Lunch buffet was good too but we tended to eat at the bbq restaurant as it was next to the pool & food was nicer. Checkout was really quick but they did expect us out by 12pm. We didn’t realise and left at 1pm. They said if we’d have gone over the 1 hour mark they would charge us but we made it in time. There weren’t many people from uk & hotel staff definitely prefer to speak Spanish. But they understood English perfectly well. We even asked for a cake for son’s birthday😜😜 and they did a song along with a cake. .

  Exceptional Stay and Outstanding Service

  Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The property itself was beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully maintained, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our incredible butler, Isaury. From the moment we arrived, Isaury went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask — whether it was arranging dinner reservations, surprising us with special touches, or simply checking in with a warm smile. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made us feel completely at home and truly pampered. Thanks to Isaury, our vacation was seamless and full of memorable moments. She is a true gem and a credit to the team. We’re already looking forward to coming back — and we’ll definitely be requesting Isaury again!

  Fun and lively entertainment team.

  Kerry, Francisco, big mama, pinky, chocolate, fither and Pokémon were all amazing in the entertainment team, they were so lively and got everybody playing games and laughing. Really appreciate their work to make the hotel more fun. Such fun and lively team.

  We had a wonderful stay at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort. The property is large and beautifully designed but never feels crowded. It has character and there’s truly something for everyone, whether you’re traveling as a family or a couple. Food: The food was absolutely outstanding — one of the best resort food I’ve ever had, and I’ve visited many many resorts across the Caribbean. We were part of the Unique Club, which offered a quieter dining area for breakfast and lunch, but the regular buffets and restaurants were also excellent with lots of variety. Pools & Beach: There are several pools to choose from — some lively with music and activities, others calm and relaxing. The entertainment team kept things fun with aqua aerobics and pool games. The beach was beautiful, clean, and had plenty of loungers available. Family-Friendly: Perfect for kids! The water park was a huge hit — with slides for older and younger kids and a splash pad for toddlers and babies. There’s also a kids club and teens club. The kids club was really nice but didn’t seem very busy, possibly because we visited in low season. Entertainment: The nightly shows were enjoyable, and the Michael Jackson show was truly exceptional! The theater is large and well-equipped, like a real cinema. I only wish the shows started earlier than 10 p.m., especially for families with younger children. Facilities: The gym is impressive — one of the best I’ve seen at a resort. I also loved the coffee shop, the well-stocked gift stores, and the convenience of having a full pharmacy on-site. The casino was modern and fun, too. Service: Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to our butler, Victor Medina, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He was calm, efficient, and always quick to assist with anything we needed. I Highly recommend requesting him! Overall, Lopesan Punta Cana exceeded our expectations. It’s family-friendly without feeling overly kid-focused, and it offers the perfect mix of fun, comfort, and elegance. We would definitely return and highly recommend!!

  Great stay

  First time at Lopesan and our butler Isaury De Los Santos was amazing and took care of all of our issues even after his shift. He was always on standby for whenever we needed his assistance. I highly recommend him.
