The location is inside a gated resort area. The beach is part of a long beautiful flat beach zone with white sand. Water was pool warm, or warmer depending on the tide and wind direction, in late November. Good number of restaurants with various specialties. Restaurant hosts will provide you with red cards to display at your table with different food issues on each. Such as allergies or other requirements. Several inside bar locations. Several outside bar locations. A 24 hour sports bar type restaurant in main lobby area for late arrival snacking. Nice big pool area. Several pools for general guests. Rooms are spacious and have decent clothing storage. All areas are kept clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. My room was on an outside balcony area, not facing the center court yard. So outside noise was not really apparent. Hall noise was typical, with noise carrying across the hard surfaces and through door area. Non relaxed conversation and thumps child running length of next room could transfer from next room. My hearing is a bit compromised too... It was my first 5 star resort. I thought everything was well done, available, and I enjoyed the experience. One outstanding note: Allergy Alert! The main buffet area Atlantico and Caribe (Adults only seating) We arrived on a quiet lul for a first couple days. Maybe the staff were relaxed? But the labeling of food trays and platters was very poor. 2/5 - 3/6 in most sections. This got a little better on day 4. But still many items not labelled. 0 allergen labels. Breakfast cereal area had 9 container areas with not one label of any kind on the container contents. Best guess or avoid scenario... Desert area 0 labels Tiny hors d'oeuvres in different areas 0 labels Only Comparison Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta 4 star resort All trays labelled 90% with allergen tags But most of these resorts seem to have distracted (lazy minded?) guests that cross contaminate foods by using the same serving utensil to get more than one item type anyway. So people with more reactive allergies should try sticking to ordering through manager guided guest services, like restaurants, or room service?

Hotel, atmosphere and Butler (Senel) was the best!
Our experience was top shelf. The food, room and atmosphere was amazing! We spent an impromptu week just relaxing and enjoying some time off. We did one excursion to Saona Island that was fantastic, the catamaran ride, the natural swimming pool and beach was great. When we arrived to the hotel we decided to upgrade to the Unique experience and that was well worth it. The unique restaurant is top end. The other best part of the trip was our Butler (Senel). He was so attentive and very responsive to any request. He found us everyday on the resort to stop by and say hello and ask if we needed anything, always making sure we felt welcomed and looked after. Totally recommended Gary & Nancy

Fighter ,Kerry, Francisco, and big mama were amazing. They make our stay super enjoyable and fun! Great work! Highly recommend.

Me and my boy friend have been at lopesan for a week that was my first time i don’t regret at all mention special to the animation team Fighter, kerry , big mama and fransisco they do an amazing djob I highly recommend the animation team
- AdvisoryLopesan Costa Bavaro does not accept Spring Breaker Groups. From February 1st until April 30th, person under the age of 22 years must be accompanied by an adult (23+) in the same room.
