2024 vs 2025. From Excellent to Terrible.
Hello, I know Lopesan management takes reviews and customer feedback seriously, as you value customer service and strive for top ratings. Positive Past Experience (2024) Last year (2024), my family (wife and two children, ages 4 and 1) visited Lopesan for the first time. We had a very positive experience. At that time, I suggested an improvement regarding towels at the swimming pool. Within minutes of posting my review, a supervisor contacted me to resolve the issue. This year, I noticed that towels are now available and the process has been improved. Excellent job — this shows you take feedback seriously. Current Stay (2025) – Negative Experience Because of our positive experience last year, we decided to return during the same period (end of November to early December). Unfortunately, this stay has been very disappointing. • Room 1005 (Check-in: Saturday, November 29, 2025): Although the room had a beachfront view, it was extremely noisy at night due to loud music and parties. My children and I could not sleep until after 11 p.m. because of the strong bass and loud volume. • Room 4036 (Sunday): After requesting a quieter room, we were moved to Room 4036, which was peaceful and allowed us to rest properly. • Room 2373 – “Unique” Upgrade (Monday): The next evening, a water leak occurred in Room 4036. Although maintenance attempted to fix it, the leak returned within hours. We requested another change, and the front desk informed us that the supervisor had approved an upgrade to a “Unique” category room (Room 2373). I specifically asked if it was quiet, and the receptionist assured me it was. Additionally, I was told the upgrade included access to private facilities such as the Unique pool, restaurant, beach, and massage services. • Miscommunication and Frustration (Tuesday): The following morning, today, we attempted to use the Unique beach but were denied entry by security because we did not have the required Unique bracelet. At reception, we were informed that the upgrade applied only to the room, not to the additional services. This was extremely frustrating for two reasons: 1. It was embarrassing to get kicked out when we were told that we had exclusive access to Unique beach. 2. The Unique room itself was NOT an upgrade nor was it quiet. 3. We were misinformed by staff about the benefits of the upgrade, which led to disappointment and wasted time. Additional Issues • At the main bar below reception, one employee served two customers ahead of me despite my being next in line. When I confronted him, instead of apologizing, he asked his coworker to handle the situation. This lack of accountability was unacceptable. • Overall, we noticed several downgrades compared to our previous visit, such as poor maintenance overall of the resort, very long check-in times (average wait time of 15 minutes per one customer check-in), mobile app not working. Conclusion Unfortunately, this stay has been frustrating from start to finish. Miscommunication, noise issues, and poor service have overshadowed our holiday. My wife and I have decided that we will not return to Lopesan in the future, nor will we recommend it to others. This is our last visit to Lopesan.

Resort Looked Fantastic, service and staff, terrible and not friendly to LGBT :(
I would like to start the review by saying my initial review last week I submitted was provoked by the entertainment staff while I was trying to suntan. Fighter - one of them asked for my phone, typed in my own phone, without my permission and forced me to write a review at the pool. He then wrote out the initial sentences and then told me to write only amazing things about the resort. He then told me I had to show him what I wrote first, he then took a picture of my screen and then submitted the review himself via my phone. Completely unacceptable and breached my security and privacy of my phone. This is why I deleted that review and now writing my version of my stay. initial receptionist upon check in was fantastic, friendly, kind and welcoming. Our room wasn’t ready, but that was expected as we arrived early. We were advised to return at 3pm, which it was not ready, then 3:30pm, which was not ready and 4:30pm, which was still not ready. Our room was finally available by 5pm. We only had men receptionists after our initial female checkin staff, all 3 were rude, not smiling and seemed to be bothered by us. But, if a female came up, they were smiling and their attitudes changed. But then, we went up and two guys, boom back to their rude self. The room was great, modern and welcoming. No issues with the room itself. DINNING Food was great in all the restaurants. Service at the Steakhouse was probably the best I’ve ever had. French, the person taking our order was not smiling, welcoming or kind. Buffet, the front desk staff, always smiling, welcoming and kind. There is one server in the buffet at lunch and dinner that would always look so angry and would not even speak to us after we said hello. The moment she say a tip being left, the smile on her face made the difference. But the next day, same thing happened again. At The Valley restaurant upon our departure back home, as it was the only available restaurants opened at the time, was probably our worst service we had received as the service rolled her eyes at us as she was bringing our drink order. Once she say that I saw her do that, she then laughed and smiled at me. Just rude and unacceptable. ROOM Attendants All room attendants were fantastic and great. Always kind, always welcoming BARS English Bar - Great service every night, no complaints. Sports Bar - servers and bar tenders seemed very annoyed by us. Only served females even if we were waiting at the bar well before them. Only when showed money in my hands is when I received service. CLUB A bunch of young people from a wedding party was getting out of control, sniffing cocaine visibly on the dance floor, tearing down ceiling decor and breaking their drink glassy on the floor multiple times. Security didn’t do anything about it and just allowed it to happen. That group was getting out of control and it didn’t really feel safe anymore. My partner and I were about to leave. Until one of the party goers looked at us directly and said “What’s Up Faggots”. I didn’t tolerate that and I went to talk to security and had my partner translate in Spanish for me and security said he couldn’t do anything about that. We then went to the main Bar attendant in green shirt, and they didn’t do anything. I no longer felt safe or protected in that Chia Lounge and we left for the night. Noted - being gay, and masculine is not acceptable at this resort. BEACH BAR We went to the beach bar many times a day. Although my partner is fluent in Spanish, we only speak English at the resorts. I’m not fluent but I can understand quite a good amount of Spanish myself. From day 2, the bartenders gave me a nickname thinking I do not understand why they did and “maricón.” This is a vulgur slur which means “faggot” in Spanish. I would order a water and they said to the other bartender “Por Maricon.” This tells you that this hotel does not like any Gays. I have been to Punta Cana 14 times and most recent stayed at Majestic Mirage and Elegance 4 times and had the best experience there. The Majestic Hotels there have always been friendly to all kinds of people, gay, straight ect. I would NEVER come back to Lopesan and I will pass this along to all my friends, family.

Isaury de Los Santos was our butler and he made the entire stay enjoyable He went above and beyond his duties making everyone feel special and satisfied Grateful to have had his service in our bday trip!

I had one of the best trips ever the food was great and the serves was excellent there is always someone there to help individuals what ever you need I would recommend for other to come visit isaury de Los Santos was my butler as a unique guest included he's is amazing 👏
