Best customer service ever!
Today is my birthday, and I asked the bartender, Eldrige, to make his best cocktail. Besides his great personality and excellent customer service, he truly made the best cocktail ever! I also want to praise the entire team of bartenders and waiters — your kindness and service are impeccable, especially Mr. Joel, great personality! Special thanks to Eldrige keep up the great work you’re doing!!!!

Beautiful property, great location
I take an annual trip with my best friend every year and this year we decided on Curacao. Initially we were going to stay in the Mambo Beach area but last minute we decided to stay at the Livingstone in the Jan Thiel area. We got a 3 bedroom villa and it was so nice! It had one extremely large bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This room was huge! There were 2 more bedrooms on the other side of the villa that were smaller and there was another full bathroom with separate toilet room. The bedrooms had nice, large armoires in them to store your clothing. They really came in handy. The bathrooms were beautiful. Rainfall showerheads in both, beautiful countertops, stone work in showers was very nice, huge light up mirrors. Tons of towels. Kitchen had a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher. Plates, cups, flatware. You also got a baggie of essential cleaning supplies for the kitchen for your stay. It had dish soap, dishwasher detergent, 2 disposable towels. The deck was large with a large wooden table with chairsand a couch outside and a hammock! The grounds were so gorgeous with bright flowers and cactus. It was landscaped very beautifully. So peaceful. I’d sit outside every morning drinking my coffee and listen to birds, look at lizards, watch the sun come up. It was heaven. The large pool was really nice. Lots of palapas to sit under and you can order food and drinks from your seat and the service was quick and drinks and food were great. The food at this resort was really good overall. There are so many places to eat in the Jan Thiel area but don’t sleep on this restaurant. The pizza was amazing. My friend loved everything she got too. There was a smaller more secluded saltwater pool too and it looked really nice but we never got a chance to go in. The area is excellent. If you’re new to Curacao this is a great area. Walking distance from the Livingstone there are many shops, restaurants, beach clubs and a grocery store. You get a pass to get to the beach area. There are a few beach clubs that rent palapas, chairs, daybeds for different prices. Chairs can be about $3 and daybeds up to $65. We got a daybed at Zest and it was $45 came with a big bottle of water. It was super comfortable and we split the cost so it wasn’t too bad. You can also order food from the restaurant associated with your beach chair. We used Zest both times and loved it. The beach doesn’t have vast white sand. If you want that go to Klein Curacao which I also highly recommend. It has a nice sandy entry on one side and other areas you could use stairs or a ladder. Water was absolutely gorgeous. Just crystal clear like a massive swimming pool. Funny story , we booked a week stay but on our way home they overbooked our flight so we had to stay 2 extra days paid for by the airline. We stayed at a hotel the airline booked for us which was a 5 star hotel and we did not like it near as much as the Livingstone. So we now have airline credit to use for next years trip and we will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful!!!!
Nice place with a relaxing atmosphere, wonderful experience overall and very friendly service by Denzell, who really made us feel welcome.

Extremely dissapointed at the receptionist.
Context: Our flight landed early, so we arrived at the hotel at 12.15 (we were aware that check-in time was at 16.00). Unfortunately, my girlfriend was very sick all morning and we asked, if possible, to get a place for her to rest as soon as possible. The receptionist, Mr Disney, waved us off without even listening to what we wanted to say because he was busy talking to a friend about non-work-related things. Only until a friend of ours arrived and interrupted their conversation did Mr. Disney bothered to listen to our situation. The manager happened to drop by the reception and told Mr. Disney to put us in any available room. Mr. Disney replied that only rooms superior to the one we booked were available, to which the manager said that was not an issue. Regardless of that instruction, Mr. Disney made us wait for almost 90 minutes so he could give us a room of the same category as the one we booked. He also gave us a room upstairs with no elevator. A complete lack of empathy for her well-being. *** The hotel is now being renovated *** What we did not like about the room: . There is no telephone in the room to contact Reception. . We could not find the switch to turn off the light in the bathroom. . What we liked: . Location. Walking distance from the beach and the supermarket. . Room space. Enough space for everything. The balcony and bathroom are also spacious. . Water pressure is good. . Airco works great. . Handy mini fridge. . There was a TV, but we didn't turn it on.

Great Stay
We spent the entire week of our vacation at Plantation Jan Thiel resort. We thoroughly enjoyed the two bedroom villa that faced the water, great view. It was very spacious, modern & clean. I enjoyed my breakfast every morning on the beautiful veranda. There was a very short walk to the pool area, which was fantastic. Also there was a very short walk to the beach and the restaurants located there. If I were to return to Curacao, I might look into booking somewhere closer to Willemstad. The drive from the Jan Thiel area to get to any other part of the island was horrendous. Every day that we drove to reach the beaches and the national park the traffic was backed up. Thanks for the app Waze. It took us through some of the local neighborhoods to try to avoid the horrible traffic. The one drawback or negative thing that I have to say is that for some reason they don't change the towels in the villa every day. I had to ask about it and they said that they only do it every three days.
