Live Aqua is spectacular! The resort is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of awesome food choices. The Executive Chef, Cesar Germain, works with his team to deliver wonderful menus. The meal service at MB is particularly great. We enjoyed 4 terrific meals served by Cesar and Efra. They treated us like royalty. The hostesses and staff at Siete and Varenna, particularly Paulina, were accommodating, warm and friendly. Sophie, the Public Relations Manager greeted us with a smile and a chat each day. After one visit with her we arrived back at our room to find a wonderful surprise. :) We enjoyed our visit immensely and look forward to returning in 2021.
Great time had by all
This resort has really stepped it up time and time again on their customer service. Can’t say enough great things about them as they really have learned to tune the little things that make great impressions.
LOVE AQUA should be the name!
5th visit & as wonderful as ever. We went with forever friends that we met there last year & made friends with another amazing couple this trip & the 6 of us could not have had a better stay. We love the OF rooms & THE staff are really just old/new friends we get the pleasure to be with every year. I wish I could name all of the exceptional folks that make our Vaca so delightful. Thx always to David & Katia for taking such good care of us 😘 I truly think LA only employs people with great hearts & such warm & generous personalities! See you soon & stay strong throughout this Corona mess❤️❤️❤️❤️
10/10 for #10
We recently returned from our 10th visit to Live Aqua. Considering where the world is at today, it seems like a dream that we were enjoying a perfect beach vacation just a week ago. Even before our trip started, AquaLover Coordinator Jimena and Wedding/Romance Coordinator Armando reached out to see if there was anything we needed or had any special requests. We had no requests and were not celebrating any special events but that didn’t stop them from surprising us with special treats throughout our trip. This personalized attention is one of the things that keeps us coming back. This continued throughout the trip as PR assistant Kevin checked in with us daily as did concierge Vidi. Their zest for life is contagious! We stayed in a Tierra Suite again this trip. This time we stayed on the 7th floor per our request and there was no more foot traffic than the 9th floor Tierra Suite we had last spring. Even though it is directly across from the elevators, it is very, very quiet. The room is beautifully furnished with a separate sitting area and sleeping area. The bathroom has a jetted tub where you can see the ocean as you soak. We like having a separate second powder room/half-bath. About the only thing that could be improved is the hairdryer. It is a standard-issue hotel hair dryer so if that’s an important feature for you, perhaps consider bringing your own. For my “beach hair” look, it was fine. All of the suites come with an included cabana and access to the Aqua Lounge. We stayed in a regular room this summer and it was great. We wouldn’t hesitate to do it again but enjoyed the Tierra Suite. If you’re thinking of upgrading, definitely check out all the photos, videos and descriptions from guests on the Live Aqua Fan Page on Facebook to see which one is right for you as they all have different features. Breakfast - We love starting our day with breakfast in the Aqua Lounge. The amazing morning host Daniel always greets us with coffee and conversation. He makes sure we have everything we like. Our trips to Live Aqua wouldn’t be the same without him. If the beautiful beach wasn’t calling, we could easily spend the day talking with him. The concierges Yerania and Teresa make sure everything is running smoothly. Lunch - Visiting Live Aqua is synonymous with lunch at Azur with our favorite server Mauricio. He makes every meal feel like a visit to your favorite relative’s home… a home that is directly on the ocean with beautiful views and the most amazing food! The lunch menu at Azur was recently revamped so we tried a few new dishes and revisited our favorites - Fish with Vasca sauce and fajitas. In keeping with tradition, Mauricio always had a special treat waiting for us sometime during our meal and remembers all our favorites. Hostess Elisabeth, Chef Norbelin and the whole crew at Azur make every lunch memorable. Don’t tell Mauricio but we did sneak off for lunch at Varenna one day and it was a delicious change of pace. The calzones and salads were fantastic. To top it off, we found Jorge, one of our favorite employees, working there as the captain. Dinner - We made the rounds for dinner again this trip. We started with Hidden Garden where we enjoyed several of their new menu items. The menu has been the same for as long as we can remember so it’s nice to switch things up. I loved the pork rib with its sweet and spicy sauce. The samosas on the appetizer menu were so good that I asked for them for dessert too! On a return visit later in the week, amazing manager Karla arranged for Chef Jorge to cook some favorites for us that are no longer on the menu. The signature restaurant mb was good as we remembered. We stuck with our favorites and ended the meal with my favorite dessert. They even do the simplest things - brownie with vanilla ice cream - well! We were thrilled to try the all-new Lebanese dinner menu at Azur. We usually skip dinner here as we go for lunch every day but the new menu was not to be missed. If you are not familiar with Lebanese food, go and give it a try. Tell the servers what you like to eat and they will find you the perfect dishes for you. Our dinner highlights definitely are thanks to Chef Frank at Siete. We went for the ala carte Mexican/Yucatan specialties menu and our favorite chef served up a feast for the tastebuds and the senses. Every course was impossibly delicious from appetizers to dessert. We were lucky enough to dine on the brand-new patio which was a beautiful setting to compliment the food. We went back for a second night and he made another incredible meal for us including a variation on my favorite Cochinita Pibil and a spectacular dessert “en fuego” prepared tableside by server Regelio. After our meal, Chef Frank proudly gave us a tour of the buffet and pointed out all the amazing options from cooking stations to Prime Rib and everything in between. If you love buffets, Chef Frank has you covered. Beach - As mentioned earlier, the suites come with an included cabana. We love being on the beach and tried two different locations which were both great. They have added so many chairs, cabanas and bali beds to the beach area since we started going to Live Aqua. We spent the entire week on the beach and never saw the included chairs and bali beds even close to full. They have also added some covered seating, hammocks and swings on the beach. We were lucky enough to have the legendary server Aminael as ours for our entire stay. He really got to know our routine and what we liked. He kept us well-hydrated with a complete stream of bottles of water served in a bucket of ice, our favorite drinks and suggestions when we didn’t know what we wanted. In addition, he is just a lovely person to talk with and made our stay even more enjoyable with his pleasant conversation. Aqua Lounge - We always return to the Aqua Lounge in the evening to see what delicious creations Guillermo is mixing up. This man is a true machine… he is always on the move, creating drinks, keeping up lively conversations with guests and making sure everyone has what they want. We used to have the lounge to ourselves but it has become very popular with good reason! Even though we have more company than before, we can’t pass up a sunset on the Aqua Lounge balcony. Entertainment - Live Aqua continues to provide plentiful, high-quality entertainment. There was live music every night of our stay and the people who took part seemed to really enjoy themselves. In addition to the evening entertainment, there is plenty to do during the day if you choose to participate. I love going to Ericka’s yoga classes (REAL Vinyasa and Hatha classes, not just “stretching”) while my husband spends some time in the gym. I tried Aqua Yoga for the first time this trip and really enjoyed it. There was a small wedding one evening and we snuck in and took a peek at their reception. Armando, the new Wedding Coordinator, had thought of every little detail. It was like an Instagram binge just looking around for a few minutes. If you are thinking of a beach wedding, definitely check it out. Cleanliness - I am writing this during the first weekend of the Coronavirus crackdown in the US and I can’t speak highly enough about how seriously Live Aqua takes cleanliness. There were people constantly cleaning in the restrooms and restocking handtowels and soap. Food handling has always been done with utmost attention to detail but was stepped up throughout our week. Bottles of hand sanitizer were absolutely everywhere. Menus were wiped down between guests. Although nobody knows how long this will last, I was reassured that the staff and management were already doing everything right and continuing to increase their awareness. I wouldn’t hesitate to return even now.
I’ve stayed at a few other Fiesta Properties but this was by far the best. I’ve had been wanting to check this place out for years and finally glad we did. Loved the fact that it was adults only, what a difference that made when it came to the norm of staying at a typical Cancun resort. The vibe of the resort was upbeat yet it was a lot more quiet then resorts that have kids. We booked through Costco, which was nice knowing they toss in the free transportation to and from the resort and they have a Costco rep on site to help book excursions. Check in was easy and very fast, they even gave us resort credit that we weren’t expecting. Also the beers they gave us was a nice gesture. I think check in literally took 5 mins and we were in our rooms within 10 minutes. The rooms were just awesome, very modern and just trendy. The shower was massive and had great water pressure. The in room mini bar was stocked with soda, water, tecate, dos equios and Sol beer. No hard alcohol in the room, there was bottle of wine though. Overall the room I would easily give a 10/10. Comfy beds, clean, great balcony with a good view of the ocean, automatic shades, a massive tv and the bathroom toiletries were very high quality. A lot of people ask about the alcohol at Love Aqua, well there is plenty of it lol. They have Modelo on tap, Modelo negro, Dos Equios and Tecate. Some bars and room have cans of Corona but those r harder to find, no Corona on Tap though. As for hard alcohol they have too chef stuff (Grey Goose, Don Julio, Jameson, Jack, Chivas Regal, Bombay, Bacardi, Johnny Walker, Crown, and evening some Cognac). Needless to say the alcohol section was really good. I do wish at the pools they offered cans of beer as well. I like it when results give u buckets of beer since tap beers usually warm up really fast. At the pool service was Fast and consistent. I never had a to really ask for a refill they just brought it over. The pool food was really good (nachos, quesadillas, tacos (on certain days), fruit, chips and guac, burgers, and other stuff (sorry no chicken tenders). The pools were nice and we even got a cabana most days. They would walk around at the pool side and do speciality drinks, also the nearby grill had hot dogs, ribs, Chicken, Paella, tacos and burgers. We loved being at the pool, they would bring out bottles of champagne if u had a cabana. All the restaurants we ate at we loved. We at the Tried the breakfast buffet (omelets, mimosas, blood Mary’s, bacon, French toast, pancakes, mexican options, they had everything). The Italian was great, the steak house was good (habanero soup was incredible), the sushi was good and the steak house was great too. Overall food was over the top, I would say Italian was prob the best we ate at. During lunch the Italian has food restaurant has calzones that we’re really good. Room service was the absolute best, and they were always super fast. Oh and before 1am u can order alcohol to ur room via room service. I ordered a scotch on the rocks and margarita. We called in order an for breakfast one morning and asked for champagne and they brought us a bottle. We later order another bottle. The beach was nice, no seaweed, the waves weren’t bad at all, it was swimmable. There is NO food allowed on the beach only drinks. So just be aware they can’t bring u food down there. I did get a massage which was really nice. The spa facility was awesome. They had multiple spas, steam rooms and saunas for u to enjoy before or after ur treatment. The massage was great, the facility was perfect. Overall I’m really looking forward to going back. Service was outstanding, the value was great and we just loved the whole experience. Plus ur so close to Downtown Cancun (Cocobongo, Senor Frogs Ect). I have absolutely no complaints about this resort. The only improvements I would like to see is tacos on the pool side menu everyday as well as on the room service menu and the option of caned beer at the pool as well. Other then that this resort is perfect!
