Fair warning to ALL, They Lie, it's all about status
This was an absolute nightmare. I lost a whole day of my vacation because I was put in a room unfir for anyone. I have pics, and I hope to be able to show the room which I was forced to stay in for 24 hours. No one at the front desk or guest services were willing to do anything to fix the problem. They kept telling me there were no rooms available. Instead of upgrading me to a better because of the condition of the room, they made me stay in I had to pay for it. They will say they tried to change my room the same day, but they wanted to put in a room with visible mold and a mold smell. I refused to stay in a room with mold. They only care about the members. Don't waste your time there

DO NOT GO HERE! NASTY, DISGUSTING, DIRTY!
WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE! The entire facility is nasty and disgusting. To start, you can't flush toilet paper. You're supposed to put used toilet paper in OPEN containers by toilets. Dirty diapers around pool. Weeds growing everywhere. Bird poop on buffets. Trash everywhere. Black mold in bathroom. Stained sheets. Torn towels and blankets. So nasty, we all got sick - pooped for days. Aside from the dirtiness of the place, the alcohol is BELOW BOTTOM SHELF. The food was very locally ethnic. The staff was rude and hard to communicate with. It was so bad we got a FULL refund for our stay.

Disorganized, Disrespectful and Dangerous: Avoid Lifestyle Tropical
As an avid world traveler, I’ve stayed at resorts around the world, Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa ranks as inarguably one of the most disorganized, disappointing, and inconsiderate experiences I’ve ever had. If I could give negative stars, I would. Here’s why you should avoid wasting your time or money here: Blindsided before arrival; the “Bait-and-Switch”: - Two days before our trip, our entire 28-person party was “reassigned” to a lower-quality resort on the property. - Only later would we learn our original accommodations at Cofresi were flooded; no communication, no apology, just a downgrade. - Staff confirmed management is white, European, and completely disconnected from the local culture, which shows in every aspect of this resort’s operation. Check-In Chaos & Orientation Failure: - Check-in was confusing and disorganized. No one explained how to navigate the sprawling, maze-like property. - We were handed a complicated map with zero guidance, just “good luck.” Room & Resort Conditions: - While our room was okay, others in our party faced issues with delays, maintenance, and cleanliness. - Our room was infested with mosquitoes, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. Food Poisoning & Outdated Towel Policies: - By Day 3, over half of our party was violently sick. Likely culprit? The buffet triggered a domino effect of diarrhea and vomiting. It would be beneficial to reinstate the COVID policy of requiring guests to sanitize their hands before entrance - The resort’s absurd towel policy, where soiled towels are collected, washed, and returned, meant vomit- and feces-covered towels stayed with us longer than any guest should tolerate. - Clearly more concerned about preventing theft than promoting health, cleanliness and guest experience. Vienna Café: Great Coffee, Nonsensical Rules: - Delicious pastries and coffee, but no take-out allowed unless you bring your own mug. - Staff admitted take-out cups were once available, another example of cutting corners at guests’ expense. - Worse, our kids were denied service entirely due to a bracelet “error,” and the staff aggressively enforced this. Shoutout to Jose Minaya, the only person who handled it reasonably. Facilities & Amenities: - The gym? Dirty, outdated, and ignored by staff who allowed unsupervised minors despite posted rules. - It rained often during our stay. Instead of offering umbrellas, we were forced to leave a $20 deposit for one. Again, they assume guests are thieves. - No WiFi. Seriously. In 2025. There is no basic WiFi available for guests. That’s not just outdated, it’s unacceptable. Shuttle Confusion & Accessibility: - The resort is huge and shuttles are essential, but service is sporadic and disorganized. - During peak hours or rain, you’re left waiting with no plan in place. Poor planning all around. Some Bright Spots (Yes, There Were a Few): - Pilón served delicious Dominican cuisine and provided excellent service. Sancocho was amazing, and staff were kind enough to offer a traditional stomach-settling drink after hearing about our illness. - Bellini, the Italian restaurant, impressed with the pizza, easily one of the best meals on-site. - Vienna Café (if you’re allowed in), and Moomtaz had great service. - Jan Carlo and Clari at the spa were phenomenal. - Marlenes Ramos, our waitress at Jazz, deserves a raise. But Then Came the Jazz Incident: - One of our guests with a different bracelet was singled out, refused entry, and watched by an armed security guard in the lobby. Completely over the top. - Hostess Melba Anilsa was aggressive and rude. It was humiliating and unnecessary. Bottom Line: Lifestyle Tropical management doesn’t prioritize guest experience, it prioritizes control, cost-cutting, and outdated policies. Between the mismanagement, foodborne illness, chaotic logistics, and lack of basic services, this was one of our most frustrating vacations ever. Avoid this resort. There are too many beautiful, welcoming, well-run places in the Dominican Republic to waste your time and hard earned money here.

Worst resort
This was the WORST vacation ever! In the beginning it was fine, but the WiFi never worked, the buffet place (the pearl) I found bugs in the food which gave me and my whole family food poisoning and when we found the bug we told one of the waiters and they just laughed it off and did NOT care, after we went to the doctor here and he didn’t care much about your health he cared more about the money. Everyone here will treat u like a tourist and up the prices in EVERYTHING. We tried calling the office from our room and the telephone does not work, the coffee machine was broken, the bathrooms are always so dirty and literal POOP is smeared on the toilet. The overall experience was awful and I was only here for 3 days. People are so disrespectful here too.

Trip to Celebrate my Wife’s 50th Birthday was amazing!
This resort was amazing from the moment we stepped foot on property. There were just a couple of small issues but overall was amazing. Check in process was so smooth and quick. Our resort room was clean and had a lush view of a pool and could see the ocean through the trees. The food was a 10/10. We ate at the breakfast buffet at Casablanca every morning and it never disappoints. We had 2 ala carte dining experiences. We went to a Brazilian steakhouse which was good but our Italian food at Bellini’s was out of this world. My wife got the risotto with shrimp and I got one of the best pieces of lasagna ever. It was also nice to eat lunch by the beach on the cabanas. Super convenient! We never had an issue with getting a drink however it is much more crowded during the weekends so be prepared for that. The staff said that a lot of locals come in for the weekend. During the week, it was so nice and comfortable with the crowd level. The staff every where was so gracious and accommodating. Especially Pamela and Fernando in the cabana area. The cabana area had to be our favorite. Clean cabanas with great views of the ocean and small pools you could cool off in. We met so many great people while hanging out in our cabana. Servers come around and get your food and drink orders. The beach was really nice and had some good waves but I was hoping for some clearer water to snorkel. This resort is so big and you feel safe while here. 10/10 for a relaxing trip for adults! I think teens might get bored though. A lot to do for little kids. There are excursion opportunities that you can choose from. We talked to a couple that said their snorkel trip was amazing! Now to the opportunity areas. You will try to be sold on their timeshare even if you came with another timeshare company so be prepared for this. Our guy (Juan) was nice we told him no from the get go and he let us leave after an hour. Until he showed back at our cabana on the beach saying I had to go speak with the manager which was inconvenient. But I said no and we didn’t have to deal with this again. We heard very similar stories from everyone else we talked to so he prepared for this. Our power went out once and so did our water. Our shower water was cold most of the time but we looked past that. Overall this is an amazing resort and is a great deal for the price. I would definitely like to visit this resort again.
