    The animation/entertainment

My daughter and I had a wonderful time again at Lifestyle. We visited in Dec 2018 and Mar 2020.The animation team especially Sonyc made our stay a great time with the Olympic games. Thank you. Also a shout out to Capachino and Dominican Justin Bieber.!!💌

There were two good things about this resort, our gal Karina in guest services and our housekeeper Yenny were awesome. Other than that this place was the pits. Our room was next to the back of the property next to their "dump" area and the kitchen prep area. Room was freezing, no blankets, no linens for the pull out sofa, NO HOT WATER, mini fridge was frozen up so was warm. We were booked at the Presidential but a mistake was made with RCI so we were forced to stay here. It was not what I paid for nor what I expected. We were to have had a two bedroom suite with full kitchen, we barely had a mini coffee maker! Not enough chairs by the pool and if you tried to just look at one of the beaches that your wrist band didn't match you were treated like a criminal. It rained for the first 3 days, not the resorts fault, but we couldn't get an umbrella or even a trash bag to go from the room to anywhere!?!?! The food was sub par at best and I stayed hungry. If it hadn't of been that I knew I would get no where and Yenny was so very nice as was Karina and her girls I would have been raising heck. That is one place I was happy to say goodbye to!

I'm not even sure where to begin with how terrible this place is. When I read other reviews giving it high marks I have to wonder what their standards are because this place is below par in almost all ways! First, one of the reasons we chose The Tropical was because they allowed us to NOT have the all inclusive. We are not big eaters and don't feel we benefit from all-inclusive resorts for the most part. When we checked in, after waiting in the wrong line for over 20 minutes, they did not tell us that without the all inclusive ($82 per person, per day) in order to eat in the restaurants we would have to pay a $60 flat fee per person for our dinner - regardless of what we ate. WHAT!??! We felt our hand was forced and paid the all inclusive fees because we didn't have a car to get off the resort to restaurants every day to eat. The pool and the "VIP" status was disappointing to put it mildly. The VIP status is a joke as far as we could tell. You were limited to 2 or 3 beaches and pools. The adult pool had no bar and none of the pools had any wait service. That was on top of the fact that people were up at 6:00 am putting towels on one of the 10 beds that were at the adult pool. The VIP beach was ok and had a bar but in order to get a bed with shade you had to line up at the gate before they opened at 8:00 each morning and race to get something. There's so much more that I can't add because I'm limited on characters. JUST NO - go anywhere else!

    tennis experience

Enjoyed our trip. Tennis was fabulous. Lilo and staff were very professional. Court was always well groomed and price very reasonable. Lilo worked with me on many aspects of my game and provided a fantastic workout. He was also very helpful answering any questions I had regarding activities, things to see and providing directions. Thanks again Lilo hope to see you soon. John

    The best time ever

This was my best trip ever to the Tropical. When I first arrived there the room that I had requested was not available but Karina came to my rescue she said be patient and she would see what she could do. Not only did she find my favorite room but she made sure I everything was perfect for my entire stay. Thank you Karina you are the Best!! Thanks for making this my best time ever
