Most of the produce comes from the Ladera Garden as well as the locally and organically produced, spices and grains grown on local farms, including the fresh seafood caught from the nearby waters, comprising 70% of what is created in the kitchen. In addition, your palettes will be taken on a Wine Tour of the World at the Dasheene Wine Cellar, boasting over 500 wines, and stocking over 2000 bottles of wine from around the world.

As he shares tales of St. Lucian rum legends, your expert Rummelier will guide you through our rum and rum-based cocktail menu. Choose from rums on tap in oak casks, carefully chosen rum flights or rare, top-shelf rums. Pair your choice with charcuterie, tapas, and cheese plates. The Rum Bar is available every Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday.

    Perched above the rainforest, in a mango tree over 300 years old, our four-story treehouse is one of our most unique experiences. Amidst the rustling leaves and gentle breezes, you’ll find solace and inspiration here. Bring a book, enjoy a game of chess, or just take in the awe-inspiring views, sounds and scents of the rainforest, Relax. Unwind. Repeat. 

    The Workshop at Ladera 
    Guests can visit the on-site workshop to learn how the master craftsman creates the furniture used in the rooms, at Dasheene, and many other places on property. The Ladera team will walk you through their process and demonstrate their craft of uniquely created pieces.

    Join our resident yogis for an energizing morning practice or wind down your day with a restorative evening practice. Suitable for all levels of experience and beginners are welcome. 
     
    Ladera Garden Tour 
    Take a walk through our very own Botanical Gardens with our head gardener and discover some of our local, tropical plants, herbs, and flowers, as well as their use in everyday St Lucian life. 

    Ladera Guided Nature Trail Hike 
    No experience gets you closer to Petit Piton. As you walk the 2-mile trail, our local guide tells tales of its legends. Along the way, you'll find a yoga platform, meditation space, and sacred spaces that captivated the original St. Lucians. 
    Sneakers or Tennis Shoes are required. 

    Immersion Art Studio at Ladera 
    Step into our Immersive Art Studio and witness the craftsmanship of our St. Lucian artisans firsthand. Take home personalized treasures from vibrant bowls made from calabash gourds, and local clay sculptures, to intricate wooden carvings crafted with passion and skill. With Ladera's signature punch and Chef Nigel Mitchell showcasing different traditional St Lucian cuisine favorites.     Nestled in a private, intimate corner of Ladera, our hot tubs are a mini oasis fed by Volcanic mineral hot springs water from our on-site source. Crafted from vintage sugar pots from the old sugar mills, these tubs exude a timeless charm embellished by handcrafted mosaics and wooden carvings created by our master craftsmen.     Paradise Ridge is perfectly named - stay here and forget the rest of the world.

    Beyond stunning is the only way to describe the view from one of Ladera's Paradise Ridge suites. After a few minor but persistent service issues we were upgraded to a PR suite for our final day. Just amazing is all I can say. If you come here for a couple of days/nights you won't even want to leave the room. We had a totally delicious seafood lunch delivered and enjoyed total luxury and privacy for our last day in St Lucia. Thank you Christian and Sonya for a special treat before we head home to rainy Ireland - another beautiful island - just not tropical paradise.

    Mother Nature delivers but Ladera service does not.

    The open wall concept affords breathtakingly beautiful views of the pitons. But don’t expect the standard of service to match. We stayed for 3 nights/4 days and each day we had to ask for something basic to be done - restocking the minibar, fixing the faulty phone and iPad, towels not replaced, sink had no plug (was disgustingly filthy. In addition the “acclaimed “ restaurant, Dasheene, featured ridiculously slow service and an average food standard which fell well below our expectations. It was not the relaxed stay we had anticipated and the constant contact with room service and reception made everything very stressful.

    Second Stay

    Where do I begin when you start with perfection. This resort is the most exclusive, most pampering, most luxurious experience. It’s located on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views of the ocean and Pitons. The Hilltop suites are perfect in every way. What more can you ask for when you have your warm plunge pool, drinks and 24 hour butler service. We enjoyed a day at the Leve spa, several dinners at La Dashnee Restaurant and a snorkeling trip arranged by the hotel. This is our second time here and I look forward to many more. Thank you everyone for making our stay magical.

    BREATHTAKING VIEWS, UNBEATABLE SERVICE

    We had the most amazing stay at Ladera. When we first booked the trip, we actually didn't realize it was an open air style resort.. and transparently, had we known, we may not have booked it. But let me tell you -- that was the best part! You genuinely feel like you are in the St. Lucian jungle while you're there.. if the jungle had 5 star luxury resort service. We have been to many places, but the service here beats all of them. The staff was so friendly, so helpful, and genuinely wanting to make sure our every need was taken care of. The food at the bar, restaurant, and fish fry was great! And don't even get me started on the view... when you first walk into your room, it will take your breath away. Daily shuttles to Sugar Beach were a huge plus too. We actually got stuck in St Lucia for 2 extra days due to ice / snow at home and they were able to find us a room to stay in (upgraded) for the extra nights at half the normal cost. I could not recommend anything better for a stay in St. Lucia. YOU MUST EXPERIENCE THIS!

    The hotel is a destination unto itself

    Absolutely amazing hotel to stay at! Sunsets were absolutely magical to see between the Pitons in the evenings. Staff was very attentive to all of our needs and seemed genuine in all our interactions with them. Nice hiking trail on the property that offered different, great views of the Pitons and some quiet places to relax. Coming from Alaska we were very concerned we'd be too hot with the open-air rooms but we were comfortable at night without using the bedside fans that are provided. The restaurant on the property had good food at a reasonable price but we ordered room service and ate in our room most of the time because the views were so spectacular from there. We stayed in a Heritage Suite. Hands down one of my favorite hotels ever and my first choice to stay at if I ever return to St. Lucia.
