Great resort, beach, food and staff.
Nice resort - good size for families. Beach is really good - nice sand and no big rocks. Waves can get big when tide comes in and out but there are times when they are more calm. Loved the food and infinity pool. Great time to go whale watching in February- could see them breech from the pool. Great volleyball. Anahi and Damian were great entertainment staff - friendly and helpful. Marcus kept things in order with the chairs - it was getting out of hand with people saving chairs at 7 pm the night before. But Marcus warned everyone anything left on the chairs after 8 pm would be removed and that helped normalize things. This is our 2nd time here and would come again.

Great Potential But Needs Attention To A Few Details
We visited this resort Jan 25-Feb.1, 2026. We were a group of 4 adults in our 50's. Overall, we had a really nice time. This resort has lots of potential to be exceptional but there were a few things that need pretty urgent attention. Here are the pro's and con's: Pro: - Definitely the view! The beach is gorgeous and the view of the ocean from the Infinity pool is exceptional! We also booked oceanfront rooms and it was amazing to wake up to the sound of the waves or have a drink in the late afternoon on the balcony. We had Block 7. - The food &drinks: overall we found it to be quite good. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. There was a nice variety in the buffet for all meals, and the one a la carte we went to, The Grill, was quite good. The fish tacos by the adult pool and the chicken nuggets by the family pool were both delicious. Drinks were refreshing, tasty, and we found them to have a decent amount of alcohol in them. - Safety: we had zero issues and felt totally safe whether on the resort or off-resort at excursions or otherwise. We took Ubers and taxis and all was great. - The Staff! Everyone was so friendly, lots of smiles, and accommodating when we had questions or requests. They all do what they can to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Con: - The pool chair game was out of control at this resort. We have been to Mexico many times and have never, ever seen anything quite like this. On top of the usual annoyances of people putting their belongings on chairs for hours on end without showing up, we also observed many people reserving their chars at 8:00 or so the night before. This is totally unacceptable. We had to take turns getting up at 6:30 or 7 every day to try to find chairs, which we usually did expect 2 days- there were none to be found by 8 AM. This was supposed to be a vacation to relax but that wasn't possible knowing we would have to do this - Evening activity: total ghost town by 8:30 or so. Any entertainment was done by that time. The lobby bar remained open, but there are very limited chairs for sitting so I guess you could take the drink to your room, but there really wasn't any good space to socialize in the evening. The Sky Bar has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and is a really cool concept, but the one time we went up there, again, seating was limited to about 10 chairs, and then some lounge beds that were wet with moisture from the humidity. We actually saw one girl take a wipe out as the stairs in the SKY bar were also quite slippery. There were a few tables by the adult pool that some folks were playing cards row games, but again, this seating was very limited. The Sports bar was also very small and not very appealing. - Birds in the buffet area: Half of the seating for the buffet is outside overlooking the ocean which is a really nice view while eating. Unfortunately, there isn't any mesh or wire to keep the birds out. They would be flying in at every meal, picking at food on tables, and pooping- you could see it on chairs and along the glass partition. This is gross and those birds need to be kept out. Also, on our last night there, a few coconuts crashed in from the glass ceiling above a couple of tables and glass shattered. Thankfully no one was hurt but the maintenance crew came to clean up and as they were doing so, more glass shattered as a result of their cleanup. I don't know if this incident could have been prevented but the way it was handled was a little questionable. The rest of the resort seemed decently clean on the surface but it could use a deep clean, re-painting and new fixtures(i.e. taps, toilets) in many of the areas. We did enjoyed ourselves once we got chairs, got our drinks and settled in each day. What would elevate this to an excellent resort would be attention to the details as mentioned, but if you set your expectations, you will have a good time although I don't think we would return to this specific resort.
