  Company annual trip

  The resort itself was absolutely beautiful, and our group had been looking forward to this vacation. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful experience was overshadowed by a serious illness that affected a large portion of our group. There were 29 employees in our group, and 22 out of the 29 became sick during or shortly after our stay. Some people experienced mild symptoms, while others became significantly more ill. A handful of employees were sick enough that, after returning home, they had to seek medical attention at the hospital. We cannot say with certainty whether this was caused by something we ate, the water, or another illness, and we do not want to make an accusation without knowing the exact cause. However, having 22 out of 29 people in the same group become sick, with some requiring hospital care after returning home, is extremely concerning and should not be overlooked. We strongly encourage the resort to investigate what may have contributed to this situation, including food preparation and handling, drinking water, sanitation, and whether other guests reported similar symptoms during the same period. This was particularly disappointing because the resort itself was beautiful, and there were many aspects of the vacation that we genuinely enjoyed. Unfortunately, the number of people who became ill significantly affected our experience and left many of us concerned about the health and safety of future guests. We hope the resort will take our concerns seriously, thoroughly investigate what happened, and take appropriate measures to help prevent another group of guests from experiencing something similar.

  BEWARE - YOU WILL GET ILL!!!

  Leaving a review here as well since I used all the amenities of Secrets Moxché even though I stayed on the Impressions “side”. This was supposed to be a magical mini moon for my wife and I. Instead, 36 hours in, we were hit with the worst stomach issues ever. Montzeuma’s Revenge 10 fold!!! Nonstop diarrhea, vomiting and immense cramping. We were holed up for TWO WHOLE DAYS. Our butlers were somewhat attentive and brought us water and ordered us soup - which took over an hour to arrive!! Everyone at the resort is getting ill. They don’t serve BOTTLED WATER anywhere you go, what kind of resort does that?! You have to request it to your room, but cannot get it on the premises anywhere else - DANGEROUS!!?? So many other issues with the resort like service, dirty pools and musty smells, but I could have overlooked this all if I didn’t get deathly ill. 6 days later and we are still recovering. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

  Food Poisoning, be aware

  Resort is beatiful and staff is very nice, unfortently my wife and I got food poisoning on the 3rd day of our trip, which most likely mean it came from the food there. Were not 100% sure which retrraunt we got it at, but the night we got sick we ate at the Japenesse restraunt. I read prior to our trip other reviews about this and thought it wouldn't happen to us, but I was wrong. Luckly there was a pharmacy at the resort and my wife is doctor and knew exactly what we had and the anitbotic we needed. It helped makes us feel better, but after being up all night we really didn't want to eat or drink anything more after that which kind of ruined the vacation. We told the manager of the resort and she was very nice, but they would not gives us any money back, which we kind of expected. We had to fill out a form that asked us where we ate at for tracing purposes, but not sure how that form will help after seeing all the other reviews about others getting sick. They also wanted us to see a doctor to comfirm food poisioning for $250 which we declined becuase it was clearly ovbivous on what we had and my wife is also a doctor. I would be very cauious about eating the food and make sure it is fully cooked and no raw vegtables. Very disapointed as we went to this resort when it first opened and ate everything with no problem.

  Fantastic vacation

  Absolutely fantastic stay. The best all-inclusive I’ve ever been to. Resort is absolutely beautiful, it’s luxurious and modern. Stayed there for five nights with another couple and everybody loved their visit. The selection of pools and things to see are over the top. I thought the beach was quite nice, I know people say it’s not the best beach resort, but it was beautiful. 100% the best food I’ve ever had at a all-inclusive and I’ve been to many. Everything was gourmet and came out looking like a five star meal. I really don’t have any complaints, the one thing I’d like to say is the pillows are awful in the room 🤣 personal preference but maybe give us more pillow choice.

  Be careful where you eat while at Moxche

  We traveled down with 8 adults for my 40th birthday. We planned this for over a year. On the after dinner on our second night 5 out of the 8 of us became violently sick due to food poising from the Japanese restaurant. We spoke to the hotel staff that morning and no one seemed to care about us being sick. They immediately implied that we didn’t get sick on the property. 5 of us spent our whole third day and most of our fourth(last full day) in our hotel room. We asked to speak to a manager and were told they would call us, we still haven’t heard from the manager. After speaking to a few other guests at the hotel, we found out that over 30 people had also became sick during the same 24 hours we did.
