Star Camp is free and part of the all-inclusive experience at Iberostar and features more than 140 age-based activities based on the approach and theory of multiple intelligences, which advocates personal growth through cooperation.

We had our wedding here in May. The resort was beautiful, and we got to see a lot of wildlife! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Nayeli and Bere we beyond helpful! They were so caring and kind! They were very attentive throughout our entire engagement while we planned the wedding and were very patient and responsive when we had questions. They helped direct events during the wedding. They even checked in while we were getting ready on the day of our wedding to make sure we didn't need anything, and they continued to make us feel special even after the wedding day itself! Forever grateful for them and the entire resort staff who made our dream wedding come true! If you are looking to have a destination wedding I highly recommend using them. All of our guests were incredibly happy with the resort itself as well.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal/Tucán experience
We just returned from Playacar area of Playa Del Carmen stayed at the Iberostar Quetzal/Tucán resort and it was pure tropical bliss! With lush surroundings and vibrant décor. The food was great although à la carte restaurants are difficult to reserve; buffets had a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. The ice-cream bar by the pool was a refreshing treat. Mexican night and live Mariachi was a highlight. The Quetzal/Tucán tropical experience is for connoisseurs who appreciate nature! The property is impeccably maintained, with beautifully manicured gardens and pristine facilities, exotic animals and birds - Toucans’, Peacocks (not native to Mexico), Coatis, Agoutis, Iguanas, Turtles, Flamingos, Cranes didn't see Howler Monkeys but all living peacefully in harmony around the tourists. The crystal clear blue ocean views and pools were awesome, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Entertainment team kept things lively through the day, Bonus walk on the beach will take you to Riu Tequila and Riu Palace Mexico next to Iberostar, check those out too. I would highly recommend Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan for families w/ young kids.

Best vacation family friendly excellent overall
A great experience wonderful friendly service from Tete Mendez Guess Service who made sure my Veteran husband got the best care at the handycap area at the beach and the snack bar by the beach ad pool also the cozumel buffete delicious food every day and friendly service by Apolonio Chef encharged and Moises Carmen Benito Carlos Diego Bhartolome Abigail oh my they were like family Waldo pool Daniela Reception supervisor wonderful professional Pamela at the phones sending the golf cars to pick us up and last bur not least Massage Spa Vanessa Karina Reflexology Rogelio we stay 15 days in this majestic beach the Hotel is beautiful we have shows every night at the lobby and theater and we love to see families with children and babies really great for families wow we Love it!! this was our 9th year staying there and planning to go back soon God is good

The Best Destination Wedding we could have asked for
Nayeli and Berenice, our wedding coordinators, did a wonderful job to make our stay the best possible. They were attentive, responsive and made sure to tend to all of our requests. The resort itself is gorgeous, offering beautiful scenery and activities for all ages, with some of the best food you can have. The beach was wonderful, paradise doesn't even begin to describe it. We will absolutely find ourselves back there at some point in life, because the value of what you get from that resort is unmatched.

Deep sea fishing
The Amstar staff member Omar Tripp was great. Among all the other excursions available, He helped my group of 7 people plan a deep sea fishing excursion. He was very thorough in every detail of or trip. He scheduled our transportation from the resort to the marina and back. We had a great time and caught plenty of fish, which were cleaned for us by the boats crew and cooked for us once we got back on land. It was a great adventure, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a good time.
