Best all inclusive! Beautiful Resort
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and booked this resort through our wonderful travel agent. We could not have been happier with our choice! Great food/drinks, beautiful resort, and an awesome, friendly staff! Our Concierge Yanet was wonderful to work with and so friendly! We loved her and by the end of the week, she was like an old friend! We also loved Luis (huge Steeler fan!) and the rest of the servers! Super friendly! We particularly loved Peter, the tennis instructor, who went out of his way to not only help us improve our games, but also set us up with other people to play during the week! He was seriously an awesome instructor and person! We will definitely be returning with our adult kids and their spouses next time! As soon as this CoronaVirus ends and life gets back to normal! Thanks again to the amazing staff at Iberostar Lindo!
We had the opportunity to go for our wedding week to Iberostar Paraiso lindo and from day one we had the best service. We were welcome at the front desk by Daniel. He made our stay to be the best. We arrived super early on our first day but he was able to check us in and invite us to and have breakfast while they prepared our room. We got our room right away. Daniel made sure we were taking care and made us feel super special. They bell boys and all service staff were amazing and always with a smile in their face. We were really pleased with our stay. Due to the Corona virus situation we had to cancel our wedding and leave before our stay ended and they all were sad for us and making our stay be the best. My husband and I can't wait to go back again. The place is truly a paradise.
A new benchmark
We have stayed at 13 all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, 7 of them on the Mayan Riviera, and the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo was, so far, our best experience. Lindo is in the middle of the 5 resort Paraiso beach complex with its own golf course, an excellently equipped gym, a children’s supervised program called Star Camp in several locations, tennis courts, a medical center complete with ambulance and a convention center. Multi passenger golf carts are seen ferrying guests to and fro. When full, the complex can accommodate 6000 guests with a staff of 4500 cheerfully friendly, hard working, willing to go the extra mile people. Miguel Rossello must be very proud of his staff that renders this all possible. The approach is very attractive, spacious and well laid out. Grounds are obviously well tended. The reception area and ancillary facilities are connected by polished wood walkways elevated over clean water features. Accommodations are in colorful, 3 story, square buildings without elevators, each with a themed plaza in the middle, arranged beside the long free form pool, Lindo on one side Maya along the other. Similarly, Paraiso Beach and Paraiso del Mar accommodations are arranged on either side of a freeform pool. Paraiso Grande has its exclusive pool and facilities. The Lindo/Maya pool has a wave pool at the top (lobby) end as well as a circular lazy river and a children's pirate ship pool. The Beach/del Mar pool has a quiet pool at its "top" end. Both pools have a separate water volleyball pool and a de rigeur swim up bar. Waters were always crystal clear and refreshing without being frigid. There is waiter service to the loungers on the pool decks. Washrooms are decorous and clean. There are restaurants at the top and bottom (beach) ends which provide buffet service for breakfast and lunch and convert to a la cartes in the evening so guests do not have to travel far for meals. There is also a snack bar on the beach. Popular are the coffee shops near the main lobby and at the mall across the way. The travel promotion was for junior suites which are located in buildings 50 and 51, closest to the beach. We had made our accommodations preferences known online a week before arrival and as far as possible, these were met with some room swapping necessary the next day, handled admirably by the bus staff. Upon arrival in the covered atrium, we were directed to the lobby and our luggage was tagged. Check in was quick and efficient. Golf carts whisked us to our rooms. Rooms were very large, with attractive appointments and impeccably clean. We had a widescreen television, digital controller for the A/C, a fridge with juice, soda pop and beers replenished daily, a coffee/tea maker with the fixings, ample closet and drawer space, a digitally operated safe and, for once, sufficient electric outlets for our various device chargers etc. Our bathroom included an 8 X 3.5 foot walk-in shower with a rain shower head as well a handheld shower. Shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were provided in wall mounted squeeze tubes. A room wide mirror over a single sink vanity with a make up mirror and hairdryer complete the appointments. The toilet is a water saving dual flow flush unit. Water was plentiful and hot. Towels were thick and fluffy. The mattress was a pillow top and I slept soundly. We could have used more hangers. Our room faced the pool right where the animators did their thing so during the day it was periodically noisy but it all ceased promptly at 5:00 pm. We tend not to use the room much during the day anyway. The resort has its own beach which is a couple of hundred yards long and is fine, white sand, machine groomed every day. There are lots of lounge chairs under palapas and some swing bed lounges. Some parts are reserved for elite guests. There is waiter service. The water was walk-in warm but during our stay there was much wave action, frequent and high, so it was red flagged by the lifeguards. There is a dive shop at one end of the beach and a water activities shop including wave runners etc. at the other end. While we did not find shuffleboard, minigolf nor petanque courts, we saw several people who were playing bocce with their own set of balls as well as the animation team leading a version on the beach. The archery equipment and air rifles used were the best quality I have seen at a resort. A daily bicycle tour is available. There are several tennis courts and, across the road from the lobbies but still on the property, are a driving range, putting green and clubhouse where one can arrange to play golf on the resort's own course. Beside the golf clubhouse is a square mall which includes an excellent coffee shop, a taco stand, a crepe/ice cream parlor, a children's carousel, a spa, a casino, a disco, several shops and a very beautiful chapel where Catholic mass is celebrated on Sunday evenings. Food was, to my taste, outstanding in a variety of venues; buffets, steakhouse, Japanese teppanyaki, Mexican, seafood, gourmet etc. Everyone in our party of 8 had their particular favorite. Mine was Under the Sea which is not a seafood restaurant. The decor includes life-sized sea creatures made from plastic trash culled from the ocean. We were always able to secure a table for 8 though this is not always wise as the dishes ordered by 8 are not always prepared to completion at the same time. Once we had to send a dish back for reheating but the chef prepared a fresh one instead. With only one exception, service was always friendly, attentive, and efficient. Upon check in, we were told that we were not entitled to use the dining facilities at Paraiso Maya. However, the concierge in our building was able to secure dining reservations for us at any venue. We also got a different message in that regard from some restaurant maitre d'. Management needs to get them all on the same page. I also found a disconnect among the website, the app information and the onsite reality. Building concierges are a blessing. They make dining arrangements; reprogram your room key when a magnet gets too close to the strip; they arrange for replacements and repairs to room devices; they arrange for a golf cart to come fetch you if you need to travel about the resort and they handle checkout if you have paid any outstanding charges to your account at the front desk. They work a long day until 11:00 at night. There are 2 entertainment theaters in the complex. There is a bulletin board at the Beach/del Mar showing what is being presented but not at Lindo which tries to encourage guests to use their app. They rotate shows between them. While the performers showed themselves to be excellent dancers, singers and instrumentalists and doing double duty as part of the daily activities, I did not find the shows to be outstanding. I found the presentations uneven and the sound system muddy from being overdriven. I must give a shout out to Sandy our building 51 concierge, the fixer and arranger of all things; to Heriberto our housekeeper and towel sculptor supremo; to Daniel, Orlando, Jonathan and “Jennifer Lopez” of the animation team who made our stay fun; and to Luis at L'etoile for their outstanding presence. Look up hospitality in a dictionary and you will find their pictures there.
This is our first time at an Iberostar resort and we loved it. The food and the restaurants are very good, our favourite one was the Mexican. The service is excellent in this resort especially Antonio and Manuel in the main buffet. Isabel food service manger seemed to be everywhere making sure everything was just right. The entertainment team Gaby, Humberto, Javi, Jennifer, Karen, Carolina an Fatima were all so nice and fun to be with. The grounds and buildings were well maintained and they seemed to be repairing and freshening up the paint daily. The were just starting to build a water park for the kids, should be fantastic when it’s done. We loved the resort!
Wonderful experience. Our fourth time at Iberostar.
Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Entertainment employees very nice. Resort is clean. Clean beach. Pools well maintained. Iberostar group of hotels have their own mall which is only a 5 min walk. Humberto and gaby from entertainment are very nice and like to share stories.
