We recently visited this resort and had an amazing vacation. We are two adults and a 9 year old. Food was very good and so were the drinks. The beach was nice. Our daughter loved seeing all the wildlife on the resort including birds, iguanas and coaties. It was a bit of a let down that the wave pool didn’t work the entire week we were there since that was one of the reasons I chose this resort but the lazy river was nice. I guess things happen beyond their control. Overall, a great vacation. We hope to be back sometime.
Amazing & Relaxing Couples Getaway!
A week before my boyfriend and I embarked on our first vacation together we were told that our previous resort was overbooked, with much stress.. we luckily picked Iberostar Selection Paraiso Linda and we were very satisfied with our choice! We shared a small shuttle van that brought us from the airport, we had to wait about 30mins to depart from the airport and then had another 30min drive to the resort. Check in was easy and quick, the receptionist even moved us up to a building closer to the beach. The resort is huge (you never feel like its crowded) and absolutely stunning, always clean and you can tell a lot of work was put into detail with every part of the resort. Staff were always very friendly and assisted with any of our needs. Our room was great and we couldn't hear any noise from other guests even though we were pretty close to the pool! I never really had a good night sleep but I couldn't pin point why. The beds were comfortable but our Air Conditioning made a clicking sound all night, our fault we didn't bring this to staffs attention. Our room was always immaculately clean. We are in our 20's so we were looking to meet some new friends to have some drinks with, this resort is mainly families and older couples which was totally fine and set for a relaxing tone! Definitely not a party place unless you're coming in a large group. The kids camp is near the back of the resort and all children were entertaining when we were people watching on the beach. THE FOOD was top notch! 5 star level for sure except for the Mexican a la carte. We got to pick an a la carte every night if we wished. Our absolute favourite was the Steakhouse (food, service and drinks were phenomenal) so much we went twice in 7 days, Japanese following close behind and Italian! There were a few more choices for a la carte. Buffet was good as well, lots of options for all meals. Service at all the bars were very quick and drinks were good. Top Shelf liquor provided if you wish. Bartenders all had great recommendations, we loved a couple of the bartenders at the beach bar (Hugo I think? always joking and friendly) The beach bar lacked a little bit of option for food.. mostly French fries, burgers and hot dogs but you can always walk to the nearest restaurant for a buffet lunch. The beach itself was amazing, all white clean sand and very little rock in the water. Sunchairs with umbrellas were a comfortable environment and the resort staff kept the beach clean of seaweeds. We never had to run out to grab chairs in the morning at either the beach or pool, tons of chairs available. We didn't spend much time at the pool, we went in a couple times and the swim up bar was in a cave structure which was cool but it is shaded over. You could get around to connecting Iberostar resorts by golf cart if needed which was really nice. Shopping Centre, Casino and Disco were all great additions for the resort to find something to do at night. The one thing we found wasn't our favourite was some of the entertainment shows they put on at night (some were good like the magic show, singing and dancing shows) but there were a couple that were cheesy. The entertainment during the day on the beach was a big downfall for us.. Entertainment staff from 11am-4pm came out in the middle of the beach blasting music on speakers and yelling into the microphone with 15 minute breaks after 45mins of activity intervals. Yes it is super fun to join in on games and have fun, but you honestly can't get away from the loudness. A nap on the beach or having some quiet reading time was pretty difficult. We did the Rio Secreto excursion, we purchased this on the beach from a Promoter named Armando who was helpful (this was a bit of a better price then provided at the front desk). Rio Secreto was a cool experience and we suggested it as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at lberostar Selection Paraiso Linda and we would recommend this resort for a beautiful vacation in Riveria Maya!
Wonderful Paradise, Despite Covid-19 World News
We continued with our plans to go to the Mayan Riviera, despite the Covid-19 worries, as we didn't want to lose our trip $ (we travelled from March 14 - 21/20 from Ottawa, Canada). The Iberostar Lindo is a beautiful resort! Check in was smooth and we were registered in building 51, very close to the beach and easy walking to the main pool. We learned at the main desk that their bookings were down as many people had cancelled due to the pandemic, which was likely a good thing as there were less people at the resort. The lobby bar had a nice supply of top shelf tequila on hand for our frozen margaritas. We arrived late in the day on Saturday, with only an hour of daylight left, so we felt a bit disoriented after a day of travelling (hard to get our bearings). By the next day, we were more familiar with the resort and found our way around more easily. There are other Iberostar resorts connected to the Lindo; we especially liked the Maya next door (amazing large circular bar with a giant serpent suspended over the bar). The Paraiso Del Mar resort on the other side had beautiful water landscaping and exotic birds like flamingos, a parrot, a black swan and a white swan. The Star Cafe served delicious coffee each day. We booked one excursion through our Air Can. rep. "Go Natural Explorers" tours - a trip to Tulum, the Mayan temple, a Mexican lunch, swim through a tunnel in a cenote & snorkelling in the ocean. At the resort, we enjoyed the lazy river, the beach & pools. Thank you!
Best all inclusive! Beautiful Resort
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and booked this resort through our wonderful travel agent. We could not have been happier with our choice! Great food/drinks, beautiful resort, and an awesome, friendly staff! Our Concierge Yanet was wonderful to work with and so friendly! We loved her and by the end of the week, she was like an old friend! We also loved Luis (huge Steeler fan!) and the rest of the servers! Super friendly! We particularly loved Peter, the tennis instructor, who went out of his way to not only help us improve our games, but also set us up with other people to play during the week! He was seriously an awesome instructor and person! We will definitely be returning with our adult kids and their spouses next time! As soon as this CoronaVirus ends and life gets back to normal! Thanks again to the amazing staff at Iberostar Lindo!
We had the opportunity to go for our wedding week to Iberostar Paraiso lindo and from day one we had the best service. We were welcome at the front desk by Daniel. He made our stay to be the best. We arrived super early on our first day but he was able to check us in and invite us to and have breakfast while they prepared our room. We got our room right away. Daniel made sure we were taking care and made us feel super special. They bell boys and all service staff were amazing and always with a smile in their face. We were really pleased with our stay. Due to the Corona virus situation we had to cancel our wedding and leave before our stay ended and they all were sad for us and making our stay be the best. My husband and I can't wait to go back again. The place is truly a paradise.
