Phenomenal Birthday Trip
Hyatt Ziva exceeded our expectations. The service staff was exceptional, the food and beverages were plentiful and delicious. The beach is one of the best in Puerto Vallarta. Make sure you hang out with Alex at the Tortuga bar.

Great property
We celebrated our 20th anniversary in PV with family and friends. There were 18 of us ranging in age from 11 to 67, every one of us had a great time and would go back again. A few of us indulged in their delicious buffet a little too much so came back with extra vacation weight :). Staff is friendly and attentive. Instead of one long connected pool, they have a few pools spread out overlooking the ocean which is a great way to spread out the crowd. Beach seating is very limited, would've loved to have been able to snag a few chairs. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

A resort with understaffing issues, disorganized all around, with a kids club that is more like a small closet.
Very disorganized resort with understaffing issues. Gatherings areas and pools are very small so they get overcrowded. You will be shoulder to shoulder in main pools. Kids clubs is a kids closet very very small and dark, my son hated it compared to other Hyatts resorts. I would not recommend it for kids, it’s maybe more for adults. Understaff is a big issue, you won’t find towels in the pool areas and in buffets and restaurants it’s a mess with long line, slow food prep, and not that many waiters. I travel to many Hyatt Resorts and this one in Vallarta is the worst so far for what you pay. Other guest told me there are better ones in the area. Entertainment is boring and not exciting. Daily events that they publish in their app or in the lobby change daily and at times by the hour and not due to climate change. It’s very disorganized so you can plan your days based on their activity schedule. They have a lot of work to do to bring it up to Hyatt resort standards.

Loved our view!
Our room had the most beautiful view. We've stayed at many resorts in PV, and we typically book an ocean-view room. This was by far our favorite. We stayed in the newer tower and upgraded to a balcony with a hot tub. We plan to visit again and book the swim-up room. This resort isn't large, but it was just right for us.
