Yes, we've been coming here for 30 years under three different corporations. 1st in 1996 (Camino Real), 2nd in 2010 (Dreams Resort), 3rd in 2025 (Hyatt Ziva). The Hyatt provided the best experience. LOCATION About 30 minutes from the airport and $30 taxi if hotel transport is not included. Getting a rental car is not a good idea. Why? (1) There is an additional 30-35% required country insurance tax. (2) Ubers (~$2.50 to $7) and Taxis ($7) to downtown are much easier. ATMOSPHERE Very spacious and relaxing with daily pool, beach and evening entertainment. Being there at the holidays, the lobby and public areas were beautifully decorated. Even Santa arrived by JetSki. The landscaping team does an incredible job manicuring, thinning, and maintaining all of the beds and grounds. I can't remember seeing a weed. Maintenance is out and about painting walls and making repairs. ROOMS 1. Principal Tower rooms have more afternoon sun, a bit noisier with children and the entertainment next door. There are 12 swim up rooms with chairs in the water - looks nice. 2. Club Tower has a separate 10-stool bar and buffet area (stocked with coffee, tea, soda & 8 hot/8 cold items for breakfast, lunch & dinner). According to the site, children were not to be on our floor with the swim up rooms, but we had a couple days of crying and screaming next door and above us. 3. Bedroom: spacious with great A/C, about 7 drawers, ok bed with body divets, foam pillows, huge TV with mostly Spanish channels, stocked Nespresso coffee, water, soda, beer, chips and cookies servi-bar, ice bucket (ice at end of hall). There are 8 USB-A & 110V ports in the room but they did not work with our USB-A to USB-C charging cables for our USB-C devices. Even when We used the 110V/USB-C chargers, the outlets did not work (must be a voltage issue). However the clock-radio does have 2 USB-A ports on it which did charge our devices. 4. Bathroom: consistent water pressure and temperature, Bigelow amenities, 2 big sinks, shower with wand and overhead, was dark but maintenance replaced 2 dying bulbs quickly, separate toilet area, large wardrobe closet and shelves, safe, iron, and ~12 hangers are in the bathroom area 5. Patio: first floor has about 8 rooms in the club with a 4' deep swim up pool which is great for laps; one table, 2 chairs, a deep chair, 2 pool lounges and an umbrella. The sun starts to reach the first floor of the club about 3:30 pm. 6. Recommendation - the swim up rooms overlooking the bay, in the Club Ocean building are so nice; we even got to see breaching whales from our patio. CLEANLINESS Our housekeeper arrived at our requested time almost every day. Everything was restocked and cleaned very well. NOISE LEVEL There really is no 'adult area' on resort. Even the 'adult-only' pool by the club tower has frequent parents bringing their children. The only other noise was the super New Year's Eve party, but even that stopped promptly at 1 am. SERVICE 1. Pre-departure email to our home was nice. We made two requests. One of the two requests were made; however, the second was remedied within 30 minutes of checking in 2. Check-in is super quick whether you are in the principal tower main lobby or the club tower with a separate check-in area RESTAURANTS - in order of preference Attire - most guests follow restaurant attire suggestions of having sleeves, no wet clothes, covered feet, but this is not strictly enforced 1. Blaze - on the point, ocean front setting, the seating/service for breakfast and dinner was much better than lunch. Favorites: tuna, filet, rib eye, clam chowder and Keoke coffees flamed table side with ice cream 2. Vivaz - amazing service - main buffet with seafood, Asian, Mexican, ceviches, cooked-to-order stations. If you can't find what you like to eat there, I'd be surprised. 3. Tamari - Asian, with quick seat/serve. Favorites: Ebbi roll, chicken satay, Gyudon bowl, teppanyaki 4. Melazane - Italian with quick seat/serve. Favorites: carpaccio, shrimp-octopus tempura, penne/tomato sauce and sea bass 5. Casa Grande - Mexican had the slowest seating and least favorite food. We only went there once. 6. Others - Highlightz sports bar with bar food, Ceviche/evening Crêpe Station by pool. 7. Deli - Coffee Bar/lounge with Starbucks-like drinks made to order and some pastries and candy bar. BARS - There are 3 pool/beach bars that are open from 10 am to 6 pm. Each restaurant has a bar open for lunch & dinner. The Club Ocean tower has it's own bar in the lobby which is open from 8 am to Midnight. (however, it may be for Club Ocean guests only). AMENITIES POOLS Many pool options with and without sun seating, some have bars - some do not, one claims to be adult - most have children. Towels are plentiful and the 'saving' chairs game happens here. HOWEVER, the beach servers are more than willing to give you a 'saved' chair if they have not seen anyone there for a while. The hotel has the 60-minute max chair "reserves the right to remove" rule...not really followed at pools...just beach. GYM and SPA Both are excellent offering all the gym equipment from my hometown gym and an array of spa services. Gym opens at 6. All equipment was functioning properly; there is a personal trainer available. The three spa services we had were worth it! Favorite Resort in Puerto Vallarta!
Vacationed here for a friends wedding, and initially was a bit hesitant, as we usually only stay at adults only resorts. Our time here was absolutely fabulous though. They do a fantastic job of catering to families and couples without kids, and would definitely come back. We had a couple issues with our neighbors, and the managerial staff was on it immediately and checked up on us daily to make sure our stay was great. Food was very good and great selection of restaurants. And probably the best beach access of any resort we have been to!

Positives: Asian restaurant (Tamari)-Both staff (Anahi, Saul, Abraham, Alberto) and food were great. Housekeeper (Somilee?) did a great job. Weight room is well equipped. Yoga instructor (Brenda) was great. J.C. at concierge was helpful. Bed was comfortable. Negatives: Do not come to this resort for serenity, it is Very noisy all day and all night. 4 weddings and other group events happened during our 10 day stay with Loud thumping music that went on for hours and then more partying in rooms into the next day. The resort also plays loud music in the restaurants and on the beach. There's no place to go that is quiet and peaceful. Food was mediocre at most of the restaurants and I was sick with food poisoning after eating dinner one evening which ruined the next couple of days. Elevators not working properly. Overall: Too noisy, mediocre food, nice staff.

We had a great trip at the hotel for a week's stay. Food has improved and overall the staff is friendly and we had a great time. We rented a cabana most days we were there and would highly recommend them for families with small children. It made it so easy to be by the pool but have breaks from the sun and be able to order food/drinks pool side. David, Alex and Ivan were so attentive when we had the cabanas and we really appreciated them. We had Jose for one day of cabana rentals and he ruined it for us honestly. He needs more training between his foul language in front of the kids and him treating the women in the group disrespectfully and favoring the men. Abinoam was very friendly and made great drinks. Karolyn and the entertainment team were great and friendly. We just wished the activities were more hyped up and better communicated as to when and where they were happening. But when we did join they always made it fun. Cecilia was very friendly at the coffee shop and smoothie station. Overall we had a great time and plan to be back!

Hyatt Ziva was a hit with us!
Food was excellent, staff were incredibly friendly, ocean blue and humpback whales just offshore. There were families with small children but areas for adults only allow you to get away if you want. Kayaks were free and Kevin at the beach was great. Infinity pool swim up bar is wonderful. Add in seeing humpback whales while on treadmill one morning and…awesome stay.
