Needs improvements
Would not recommend this hotel. Poor upkeep/maintenance of rooms. They also are very rushed at check in and did not give a proper layout of hotel or explanation. Too many college students. Spent more time on ZIVA side because it was quiet compared to spring breakers galore on Zilara side.

Carvil is the GOAT
Let me tell you something. Carvil was the absolute best part of our trip. He was kind, knowledgeable, and made sure that we felt right at home at the Hyatt. We visited the Fez bar on the property and had an amazing time four nights in a row! I will choose this property every time because of Carvil!

Great spot, great service.
My wife and I kicked off a week in Jamaica on Easter Sunday at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. We arrived a Noon expecting our room to be ready since we had booked through Amex Platinum Travel, but it was not ready, as is more often the case than not, especially on a busy weekend in the Caribbean. We changed into our beach clothes in the lobby bathrooms, the Men's was clean and tidy, the Women's was not. We hit the beach and got into our room about three hours later. It was nice if a somewhat aged beachfront affair with tile floors that would have greatly benefitted from a throw rug. The bed was firm but comfortable with soft bedclothes and good pillows. There were no robes in the closet, so we called down to the front desk who had a pair of light 100% cotton Gardenia Group Robes sent straight up. We typically breakfasted at UrbanHeatz, which was terrific, providing some great traditional Jamaican dishes for me and traditional American breakfast options that my wife enjoyed. The French restaurant was just OK, and we didn’t bother with the Italian restaurant, opting for more traditional fare available at the other venues. Skip the Asian Fuzion fiasco unless you really like Benihana’s and want your clothes to be permanently infused with aspirated cooking oil and griddle smoke. Be forewarned that only one or two of the restaurants are Adults Only and venturing to the Hyatt Ziva side of the resort is essentially a trip to Disneyland. Understanding the casualness of the average American traveler and acknowledging that Adult is defined as Eighteen Years Old in Jamaica, it would be nice if the finer restaurants enforced a slightly more elevated dress code. The highlight of Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall for us was the great service we received from the genuinely friendly and professional resort staff. Our beach waitress, Marvette, did a great job getting to know the quotidian rhythm of our beach days and proactively served us our drinks as if through telepathy. Similarly, Oscar at the Jamaican Rootz at Horizons (the best restaurant in my opinion) got to know our preferences and was spot on with his recommendations and service. In all, we had a generally hassle-free break on a nice beach at terrific resort in the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. It’s a great option for those who want to unplug and unwind without complication.

Last Minute Couples Getaway
Exceptional stay for my wife and I. The resort is beautiful and the staff was outstanding. Our waiter Oscar at Urban Heatz and Toni-Ann D from the poolside staff were especially attentive. For an all inclusive the food was very good. The did a great job honoring the authenticity of the local flavors. I could not get enough of the Jerk Chicken from the Jerk Hut. The pool and beach vibes were immaculate. It was a great trip all around. Highly recommend!
