  The trendy all-inclusive hotel for people who normally don’t like all-inclusive hotels

  We had an incredible stay at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island, room 2016. Junior Suite Vantage Golf View. We stayed here at the end of January. We are a 30 year old couple. This hotel can best be described as “The trendy all-inclusive hotel for people who normally don’t like all-inclusive hotels.” The view in this hotel is great and breathtaking from almost anywhere and I like the location in the middle of nature vs at the crowded beach strip like all other hotels. The entire experience feels very hip, modern and international. The design, architecture and furniture are all contemporary and stylish. Think Dubai or a high-end Asian city hotel vibe rather than a classic resort. Classy, never flashy or kitsch, just genuinely good. Even the furniture throughout the hotel feels premium and well considered. The hotel never feels crowded. It is a 12-floor building with high ceilings and guests are well spread across the resort, creating a calm and spacious atmosphere. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a stunning view over the golf course. A genuinely lovely place to sit and relax, both during the day and in the evening. Service and staff The staff is absolutely incredible. Everyone genuinely wants to provide great service. Not because they expect tips, but out of pride and pleasure in their work. Many staff members are also very friendly and enjoyable to talk to, which adds a lot to the overall experience. Stephanie truly stood out. She made every breakfast a fantastic start to our day. After a minor issue on our second day, we met her and from that moment on she consistently delivered outstanding service. Always friendly, warm and attentive. Her colleague at the arrival area was also extremely welcoming. The two gentlemen at the Vantage Club bar downstairs deserve special mention. Always smiling, clearly enjoying their profession, very social and making excellent cocktails. Israel at the Vantage Club check-in gave us a very friendly and warm welcome upon arrival. At the Vantage rooftop pool, the servers were outstanding. Extremely attentive and always focused on making sure your day was perfect and that you were never without a drink. Roberto in particular was fantastic and truly elevated the experience. The pool manager was also friendly and approachable. A nice extra detail. They even serve lunch directly at your sunbed. One small note. The water in the rooftop pool was quite cold, especially at the end of January. The rooftop itself is very pleasant due to a constant breeze, which means it never feels too hot. The in-water loungers are also very comfortable. Carlos at the Japanese restaurant provided absolutely outstanding service. Food and drinks Breakfast is very good, especially the fruit selection. One improvement would be to offer the lunch bread selection at breakfast as well. Currently there are only two types available and they run out quickly. Food quality across the resort is good and clearly above average for higher-end all-inclusive hotels. The à la carte restaurants are the main focus in the evenings and this is where the hotel really shines. A practical tip. The à la carte restaurants fill up quickly, so it is important to reserve right at 09:00 in the morning. In the evenings, the buffet is extremely minimal. It feels more like a late-arrival or fallback buffet rather than a full dinner option. Dinner is clearly designed around the à la carte experience. One improvement would be to extend food ordering at the Vantage rooftop until 18:00 instead of 16:00. At the à la carte restaurants, especially the Japanese restaurant, using less oil would be appreciated. Drinks are good but tend to be quite sweet and slightly lacking freshness. Asking for adjustments helps significantly and the staff is very willing to adapt. There are sufficient vegetarian options, but if you stay for around nine nights, there is just not quite enough variation, especially for vegetarians. One important and positive note. We did not experience any stomach issues at all during our entire stay. Rooms and comfort Rooms are clean, modern and well maintained. Room service is excellent. A few practical tips for sleeping. Bring earplugs, as the concrete structure causes sound to echo and the walls feel thin. Also bring an eye mask. The curtains let in quite a bit of light at the sides and there are several illuminated control panels that remain on throughout the night. Another practical tip. Bring some warmer or longer clothing for the evenings. The air conditioning in the dinner areas and the Vantage Club is quite strong and can feel chilly. Facilities and cleanliness Cleanliness throughout the resort is excellent. Toilets everywhere in the hotel are exceptionally clean and well maintained. In many locations, they even provide cotton hand towels instead of paper, which feels like a small but very premium detail. The gym is also very good. Clean, well maintained and more than sufficient for a holiday workout. Technology and app The hotel app is excellent. Responses are fast and friendly, and it makes arranging or fixing anything incredibly easy. Guests, atmosphere and safety The guest profile consists mainly of Americans, with some Canadians. Overall a very social, cheerful and friendly crowd. Many guests do enjoy a proper drink, but most people stay well within bounds and it never feels disruptive or unpleasant. The hotel also feels very safe. Security is clearly taken seriously and they are strict about who enters and leaves the property. The long private access road along the golf course, roughly 1.5 km, adds an extra layer of privacy and security, including visible security presence. This creates a very calm and secure feeling throughout the stay. Vantage Club and beach We highly recommend the Vantage Club. Better drinks, a higher located room and access to the rooftop pool make a huge difference. The rooftop area is fantastic. Quiet, comfortable and with an unbeatable view, away from the busier areas downstairs. One practical note. The sunbeds at the Vantage rooftop pool fill up quickly, often already around 10:00 in the morning, so arriving early is recommended. We spent almost our entire holiday here and would not return without Vantage access and this rooftop. The beach is great and can be reached by a 7-minute shuttle. It offers a lively beach club atmosphere, a bit like Bali. The beach restaurant is very nice and well worth visiting. Entertainment Evening entertainment is available and sufficient for those who enjoy it. It never feels overwhelming or intrusive. Disclaimer One thing to note. The building next to the hotel is currently empty. During our stay there was no disturbance, but apartments are planned to be sold here in the future, which may involve development at some point. Overall A very hip, modern and stylish all-inclusive experience with exceptional staff. Calm, safe, well designed and thoughtfully executed. A hotel we would genuinely recommend and happily return to, especially with Vantage Club access.

  We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Hyatt Vivid. From the friendly and effective staff to the variety of morning and evening activities, to the food and the beach house. The layout is so inviting as relaxing!

  A Relaxing, Well-Run Resort Experience, 2nd visit in one year

  Our stay at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island was a great overall experience and met, if not exceeded, our expectations. The resort is beautifully designed, modern, and thoughtfully laid out, creating a relaxing and upscale atmosphere from arrival through departure. The staff truly stood out, friendly, professional, and consistently attentive across the resort. From check-in to dining and daily interactions, service felt genuine and welcoming. Food and beverage offerings were enjoyable, with good variety and quality. Presentation was strong, and staff worked hard to keep things running smoothly, even during busier periods. Dining spaces were clean, well maintained, and inviting. As World of Hyatt members, we appreciated the smooth recognition and overall experience. Communication was clear, and the stay reinforced the value of Hyatt’s loyalty program. The property itself is well maintained, with clean common areas, comfortable accommodations, and a calm, resort-style vibe that makes it easy to truly unwind. Overall, Hyatt Vivid Grand Island delivers a polished, enjoyable resort experience. We would absolutely consider returning a 3rd time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a modern, relaxed, and well-managed destination.

  Great resort with great VIBES!!

  I absolutely loved my stay at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun—I truly can’t say enough good things about this resort. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The service was impeccable, the food was consistently delicious, and the grounds were stunning and immaculately clean. The sunrise and sunset views were absolutely insane—some of the best I’ve ever seen. The activities offered were amazing and really added to the experience. I did sunrise yoga, water aerobics during the day, and even arts and crafts by the pool—there was always something fun and engaging to do. The beach club was outstanding. We went three out of the five days we were there, and it never disappointed. The food at the beach club was incredible, the security made us feel completely safe, and the service was top-tier. Jose, down by the water, was incredibly attentive—we never had to wait long for drinks or food. At the pool, Manny and Pedro were both awesome and made the experience even better. Breakfast buffet-all the staff was kind-Dyana was my favorite! At the bars, our favorite spot was the Nectar Bar near the Italian restaurant. A special shoutout to Hector and Eduardo, who were so informative and genuinely enjoyed sharing the culture and what makes this place special. And hands down, the best restaurant on property is the Mediterranean restaurant—absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun exceeded every expectation and delivered an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to come back.

  Beautiful space for a Girls Trip!

  A beautiful and intimate resort that offers a surprising variety of amenities. The upgrade allowed access to the rooftop pool, which was a standout feature. Although the property is not located directly on the beach, the beach club fully makes up for it with its stunning setting, excellent service, and outstanding food. It provided the perfect environment for my mother and me to enjoy a relaxing girls’ trip together.
