Great Place to Stay on Waikiki Beach!!!
The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa is a fantastic hotel with a great location and contemporary atmosphere in the heart of Honolulu’s Waikiki Beach. It is close to many shops, restaurants and nightlife in the Waikiki area. We were extremely pleased with the service and hospitality from the great staff of this hotel. The staff at the front desk went 'above and beyond' to ensure we were satisfied with our accommodations. Cindy, our server in the restaurant did a great job taking care of us at breakfast. We looked forward to seeing her each of the mornings we stayed. Deysia, Nova, and Bobit in the Regency Club were fantastic, taking care of our every need. Kyle, the bartender was very welcoming and made us feel at home with wonderful drinks. These individuals and the other staff worked hard to ensure we were provided with the best service possible. We will definitely recommend this hotel as 'the' place to stay in the Waikiki Beach area.

Very pleased with our stay.
The location of the hotel was perfect, right across the street from the beach. We enjoyed the Farmers Market on Monday and Wednesday. The hotel staff was very pleasant and the hotel was very clean. We will definitely be staying here again. The view from our balcony was beautiful.

GREAT!
Great property, right across from Waikiki Beach, and we suggest the ocean view suite. I lived in Makiki when the hotel was built; kept it on my bucket list and glad that I did!

This one missed the mark... big time!
I’m usually a big fan of Hyatt and tend to choose higher-end properties because I value cleanliness, comfort, and quality. Unfortunately, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki was a major disappointment. First and most importantly, the rooms were not clean. Both our ocean-view room and the city-view room we were moved to had visible yellow stains on the sheets, which was unacceptable at this price point. The bathrooms were extremely small, with no exhaust fans, making them uncomfortably steamy—especially when four people were showering. Water pressure was also very weak. The hotel itself feels very dated. The main areas look like they haven’t been updated since the 1970s—old tile, worn carpet, aged wood, and even peeling wallpaper. The pool was surprisingly small and overcrowded, and the food in the on-site restaurants was below average. When we needed to book an extra night, the hotel was able to accommodate us, but we had to switch from an ocean-view room to a city-view room. Both rooms were equally disappointing in terms of cleanliness. The city-view room did have a partial wall between the beds and bathroom, offering a bit more privacy, but that was the only slight improvement. The property seems heavily geared toward large international tour groups, and it did not feel particularly welcoming or accommodating to other types of travelers. Overall, the experience did not match Hyatt standards. To top it off, we were incorrectly charged for taking a pool towel—even though it was returned. I like nice things and usually love Hyatt properties, but this stay completely missed the mark. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Great experience
Great location, good service. Considering the location, price is reasonable. I just wish that the buffet was more affordable.
