Hyatt in Aruba—Our Home Away From Home
We have been coming here for years. The Hyatt is clean, with new furniture and changes being made daily. The staff is outstanding and will ensure that your needs are met. As for their security, I want to share an incident that occurred during our stay. While returning from dinner, an 86 yr old man who was a guest at the neighboring resort (Barcela), fell at the entrance to the Hyatt hitting his head on the ground. Security 0fficer, Edward responded and helped us administer first aid for the serious head injury. Edward attempted to call the ambulance and Barcela however no one responded. The supervisor, Gary and Edward made the decision to transport the elderly man to the hospital in their vehicle. They did not care or question if the man was a guest of theirs but only worried about the well being of this poor man. This is what sets the Hyatt above the rest and why we felt comfortable bringing our kids here for years. I hope that the new owners truly recognize and take care of their outstanding, loyal staff members and do not just focused on their profits. Only time will tell.

Great Hotel But NO REGENCY CLUB
We have been going to this hotel since 1990. I am quite concerned that the new owners feel the Regency Club is no longer of value to the hotel. This is a club where many friendships have begun and memories made. What is the point of being loyal to Hyatt if they are going to take away a perk! They should change the name of the hotel if they are no longer going to honor the Regency Club perk! Very Disappointed in this decision!!

Hyatt in Aruba is fantastic
This hotel does not disappoint! There is an adult only side and the main area with the water slide, swim up bar, and entertainment for the family. I went with my adult daughter and we plopped ourselves on a cushioned lounge chair under an umbrella everyday. Food and drink service on the beach. Water was beautiful! Walk out the back of the resort and a well lit path on the beach brings you to restaurants on the water. Walk out the front of the resort and every kind of restaurant awaits you.

First time in Aruba
First time in Aruba, traveled with my wife and 1.5 year old daughter. This hotel is impressive. The grounds and property are truly breathtaking. From the open air lobby, to the pool, and grounds, you have plenty of palm trees, rock features, greenery, and crystal blue water to see. We felt like we’re in Hawaii when we walked into the lobby. We passed numerous other hotels while walking around the area and their beach/pool/lobby did not hold a candle to how nice the Hyatt was. The property is laid out nicely. It seems larger than it is, but everything is easy to access. We went back and forth from pool to beach to meals with ease. The staff was exceptional. Johanna in housekeeping cleaned our room unlike any hotel I’ve ever been too. Naturally with a 1.5 year old, our room was a little messy and busy. My wife and I were both blown away when we walked into our room after she had just finished cleaning. All of our belongings were neatly organized and she had cleaned parts of the room that I would never expect a routine cleaning to include. Thankfully she was cleaning the room next door and were able to thank her for her hospitality. I also want to praise Stefan and William at Concierge/Bell Services. Our daughter became ill and she needed medical attention. Stefan contacted the nearby urgent care and made sure they would be open for us(it was getting late) when we arrived. William then drove us straight to the urgent care so we would be seen before closing. William then drove us to a local pharmacy and waited for us to fill our prescription before returning us to our hotel. What we initially feared to be a vacation worst nightmare turned out to be a quick 1.5 hour hiccup that got us right back to our vacation thanks to the help of these 2 gentleman. Bingo is a lot of fun at the pool; Augie brings a lot of life to Bingo. The hotel pools(adult and regular) are really nice. And my wife and I got some laughs from the water slide, which was surprisingly longer than it looks. My only complaint with this hotel is the quality of food, portions, and pricing of food and drinks. I would’ve liked to have eaten more on the grounds, but the food just wasn’t impressive. We dined at Ruinas Del Mar, and it left a lot to be desired. Food was overpriced and not really tasty. Resort wide, the drinks at the bars were weak for the prices that were charged. If I’m paying $20 for a cocktail I’d like it to use good ingredients. We ordered chicken quesadillas as a snack one day and for $20 it was actually just 2 chicken and cheese tacos. Would’ve spent more time and meals at the resort if the food and drinks weren’t disappointing or overpriced. However, Overall we loved our stay here. When we return to Aruba; we will stay here. Tips: Eat breakfast at Scott’s Brats(right next to property on beach), walk to the strip(5 minute walk) and buy your own beer and alcohol to bring to property; be sure to reserve your beach chairs ahead of Time(get a Palapa) and don’t bother paying extra for a better spot(they are all close enough to the water).
