What We Love
- Hotel Cozumel & Resort is small, but the rooms are spacious, the beach gorgeous and diving made easy with a private pier for the excursion boats.
Things to Know
- Divers love this resort and are repeat guests because of the dive shop and private pier. If you don't dive, you'll love snorkeling around the natural reef offshore.
Whether you're an experienced diver or simply interested in getting your feet wet, Hotel Cozumel and Resort is a family-friendly option that pleases both landlubbers and dive enthusiasts alike. This resort makes underwater exploration easy with a private
beach club, a private pier and Dive Paradise, a PADI full-service dive shop with the largest and most reliable facility in Cozumel.
The private beach club, located just across the street from the hotel, offers easy water access for snorkeling and scuba, as well as complimentary lounges, umbrellas and towels. Dive Paradise has everything divers need for their equipment, including hangers
to drain gear, 150 lockers and freshwater showers.
If the hot Mexican sun gets to you, order a Bahama mama at the poolside bar and slip into the cool waters of the island's largest swimming pool, one of two pools at the resort. Children love their own swimming area, and parents love the kid's club with supervised
activities for afternoons designed with R & R in mind. You can also enjoy daily activities, non-motorized water sports and land sports like bike rides and walking tours to San Miguel.
Two convenient restaurants, a poolside bar and a lobby lounge help quench your thirst and keep your appetite at bay throughout the day. Start your morning with the breakfast buffet at Los Girasoles and enjoy ocean views before heading off to find your spot
on the beach. For lunch, grab a mojito and cheeseburger at Los Pericos Grill and Bar by the pool. End your evening at the Show Bar, where live entertainment shows Thursday through Saturday keep things lively.
The spacious rooms and suites at Hotel Cozumel are decorated with bright tropical decor that helps you to relax in Caribbean style; every room even has its own private terrace! Wi-Fi access in the rooms, pool area and lobby mean you can chill out or check-in as often as you'd like.

First time in Cozumel. Booked Hotel Cozumel because it was a decent price, walking distance to town, decent food reviews. It did not disappoint. It is an older resort but very clean. Saw painters etc updating. Friendly staff, bartenders and entertainment people. Good drinks. Decent food. Dinner always had a great soup! Good snorkeling out front. Very quiet in the evenings. Suggestions: need some new lounge chairs by the ocean, also some umbrellas by the pool for more shade as well more loungers not just chairs. Not a fancy resort but I would for sure stay there again!
My stay at hotel Cozumel did not disappoint. Everyone was very friendly. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate my special diet needs no lactose, gluten or sugar. Cap Erwin and the night captain were both super sweet. Every time they saw me they asked if they could make me something special. The first night I was there they had already purchased coconut and soy milks for my coffee and for my room. If you dive I would recommend papa hogs. Paradise dive (onsite at hotel Cozumel) is ok, but they price gouge for every little thing. Margaret and mike who own papa hogs are well established reasonably priced and I LOVE their dive masters. Eddie and Eric were my two most recent. We never had more than 6 divers per master. Small fast boats with no frills, which is what I like.
Great scuba resort-highly recommend
Can’t say enough great things about Hotel Cozumel Resort. Rooms were great, food was delicious, proximity to dive shop was ideal but the best part of our vacation was the service. Mirna & Cornelio were the friendliest, most helpful wait staff possible. Highly recommend Hotel Cozumel Resort.
Dive trip Cozumel
Hotel Cozumel and Paradise Diveshop Have been very accommodating to us, group of four people. Fairly new to the island, and diving. We booked through the PADI website who locked in the scheduled dives and we lost only one session due to weather! This resort is clean and all inclusive! Very friendly and very convenient. Not the most posh but everything is available at ones fingertips. Food and drink are average but good and lot in variety. The best part is the extremely friendly staff. Pedro, Mirna, Cornelio, Imanuel, and Fernando are fantastic and attentive waiters, and for the best dive it is most definitely Dive Master Giovanni. All in all a wonderful trip, definitely coming back!
My wife and i just got back from another great week staying at Hotel Cozumel. We had no issues and were treated like royalty. They have the greatest staff. The front desk was very helpful and courteous as always. Daniel the bartender and Alberto the waiter are the best of the best! This is what keeps us coming back twice a year to this hotel. The food was excellent along with the continuous upgrades going on. We can't wait to return for another week in December. Keep up the great work!
