Feb 16, 2026Decent place but beware of unnecessary wristband police that will chase you to your room!
Nice place have stayed many times but currently am here for February break and the vibes are super weird at the hotel. Many security guards each night with flashlights running up to guests telling them there’s an emergency and being super aggressive with tourists. To the point that the security guards followed guests up to our room. Seems like they are making up rules as they go. See attached images for more information. Also an IHG platinum elite member and am extremely disappointed with what this hotel has become. We were stopped many many times for our bracelets by extremely aggressive third party security guards. Beware prior to booking here as it has become extremely unsafe. Also they have very loud music blasting until about 3am at local bars that you can hear in the rooms.

We have been going to Aruba since 1992 but this is the first time we have stayed at the Holiday Inn under recommendations of friends. We were pleasantly surprised! We had a great time. The beach and pools were wonderful. The staff was friendly & helpful. The location was the best. Very walkable & close to everything. We opted out of the all-inclusive do to all the awesome restaurants in Aruba but did have the breakfast buffet and lunch there which was very good. The rooms were dated but clean. Our only two negatives were room related. The toilet was so low to the floor it was awkward to use. They need to replace for some new comfort height ones! If there was a prize for worse view our room would win. It was #6215 on second floor. The view looking out was a roof and when you looked down it was a pile of sandbags and a rat trap. Personally, I don't think this room should be an option for guests. We were disappointed but sucked it up regardless. Next time we will know better. All in all, we had another great time in beautiful Aruba!
