overall a great experience!!
Positives: What a great vacation. Check in was seamless - the woman at the desk was very kind and helpful. Our room was spotless. We had a two bedroom, two bath, full kitchen, 2 balcony suite of rooms. The view was so wonderful of the pool, the lagoon, and the ocean. We enjoyed the resort restaurants and shops too. Negatives: The elevators were slow and quick to fill up. You have to show up at the beach at 8:30 to get chairs and umbrellas and it's not cheap - $200 for 4 chairs and two umbrellas for the day. The worst thing was the cost to park the car. It should just be included- our room was NOT cheap!. $74 a day!!!!!! We spent a bit of time finding a spot and moving the car in a lot across the street for $24 for the day!!

Awesome place to stay, we will return. Mahalo
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We stayed in the Rainbow Tower in a newly refurbished room on the 23rd floor. The room and bathroom were very spacious and the view was incredible. Our housekeeper was Mary Lou and she did a fantastic job keeping our room looking beautiful. She was the nicest, sweetest lady and we appreciated her very much ♥️ The food at the restaurants at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Rainbow Bazaar was delicious, and all the servers were very kind and very friendly. We loved all the access to the stores that were close by so shopping was a breeze! The entire hotel including lobbies and hallways were always kept perfectly clean. The pools were also beautiful, very clean and well kept.

Will be regret if you stay this hotel
Cleanness issue: 1. First of all, we reserved one suite and one queen room at Rainbow tower. When we checked in, the suite’s floor and A/C vent were so dirty, and the queen’s restroom stink and smell. After request to guest service, they changed the shower curtain and clean the toilet again. 2. The A/C vent was cleaned the next day but only the outlook, they inside vent was still very dirty. 3. On Oct 2nd 3:15 pm: We just came back to our room and the bathroom drain still has all the hair left from 2 days ago and it has never been cleaned. Communication issue: 1. We took 14 hours flight and still had jet log then went to bed in the morning at 4am for first night. Guest services called me at 8:30am the next day morning to wake us up and asked if my room needs for A/C vent clean. We already informed guest service the first day afternoon when we checked in that we would let them know when we were ready for A/C vent to clean cause we needed rest. Not only informed the guest service, but also informed the reservation department in the beginning with email, front desk, and so on that we had long flight. We took many days to recover from the jet log due to guest service disturbed our rest at the second morning. 2. The housekeeping did clean the A/C vent for second day but the insider was still very dirty. We explained to manager on duty over the phone many times and asked them to come to my room because we could explain better how dirtiness A/C vent was but none of them would come, and only asked me to go to the main lobby to talk. I have to wait in the line for almost 30 mins to talk to one of manager on duty and showed her all pictures, she answered me everyone has different standard and made me feel that I am picky! I was insulted and couldn’t believe that all pictures and evidence to result this way. Therefore, when she asked me if the housekeeping come over again to clean and I refused because she didn’t think all issues were hotel’s problem. Moreover, I told her that it’s had been 5 days already and we have a lot stuff, if housekeeping come over to clean then the whole room will be such mess and we need to move all our things around which we don’t want to. The housekeeping didn’t do well clearance of A/C vent in the beginning and I was rejected by requesting manager on duty to come to my room at the second day. These behaviors totally ruin our vacation. 3. Lack of amenities issue: I asked for kettle because my kids and I had serious allergies caused by the room was dirty and A/C vent so we need hot water to clean our noses. Unfortunately, the hotel did not provide kettle so I bought it from Doordash. Despite of no slippers, no water, even the Ice maker machine at our floor was broken, what if some families need hot water for making baby milk? I finally got in touch with manager on duty after trying to reach them 3 days later, he told me that he could try to get the slippers and kettle for me but it was too late because I couldn’t wait for 3 days. Although one of manager on duty asked me how much is the kettle but the money is not the issue here. We stayed 7 nights and spend almost 10000 but honestly, we feel like staying in Motel 6. We want to have best memories but unfortunately this is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed. I understand Hilton Hawaii Village Resort Waikiki has great business so that’s why everyone is busy. However, busy business cannot be excuse to treat customers this way specially being a Diamond member of Hilton.

Great location for first time Hawaii visitors
This was our first trip to Hawaii and the HHV was recommended by our travel agent. Overall this was a very nice resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite in the Lagoon tower that overlooked the pool on the 5th floor. Very clean and the housekeeping staff was helpful and friendly. Even offered us the use of the laundry area which was much appreciated for a week long stay. Beach and lagoon were fantastic and so convenient to walk to and enjoy. Pool towels were always available but you have to rent everything else. Lots of shopping and restaurants/bars at the resort as well but very expensive for what you get. Only gave 4 stars because of the resort fee ($35 per day) and parking our rental car ($75 per day) at the resort was astronomical for what we paid to stay there. Upon arriving at the resort, it was confusing as to where to check in and we could not check in for 2 hours as the suite was not ready for us. We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk and walk around the resort until our suite was ready. We were greeted by a very friendly lady offering us a gift and ushered us to another lobby offering discounts on excursions but it was clearly a ruse to get us to book a slot for a time share presentation which I declined. A little disappointing that there was construction going on at the time but cannot be helped, always good to know they are renovating and improving the resort for future stays.

WARNING: BED BUGS & QUESTIONABLE OCEAN VIEW - here for healthcare conference
I was here for a healthcare conference and had an unacceptable stay due to serious issues on or about October 13th, 2025 -CRITICAL: BED BUGS DISCOVERED AND CONFIRMED The single most alarming issue was finding bed bugs. Management's initial response was a dismissive $100 credit and a sloppy, unorganized, unassisted move to a new room. After the immediate report of the incident, no offer or assistance was provided to help with potentially contaminated laundry/clothing (they didn't even suggest this!!!), leaving us to handle the burden of disinfecting my belongings during a professional trip. This caused us extreme distress and forced us to spend precious personal time addressing this across multiple days of isolation and cleansing. See photos. The best part? Our new room was so clean that it had an empty vodka bottle on the floor. See photos. -Misleading "Ocean View": Paid a premium for a view that was severely obstructed & barely visible - see photos and you decide for yourself. The hotel said "being that the room is located higher [gives] it a better westward view of the ocean. When they say ocean view, expect you to have to basically be at your sliding glass door or out your balcony to see it. See photos. Conclusion: This hotel offered completely inadequate service when faced with a serious issue. Cannot recommend. I encourage you to Google other reviews - it appears in hindsight this is not the first incidence of bed bugs in this hotel, and it appears that may be a result of what appears to be negligent bedbug protocols. This completely ruined our trip to Hawaii.
