We recently spent a week at the Cancun Hilton Mar Caribe (not to be confused with Cancun Hilton)- 8 adults, 5 children ages 4-9. We had a wonderful time. The kids loved it. The adults were happy. The weather was cool several of the days- a cold spell- we did not get that tropical feel like Jamaica where you don't need a sweater at night. Pros- very clean throughout the property, great staff, exquisite beach though rough- not for the kids, food decent for an all-inclusive (though 3 of us are still having stomach issues 1 week later), restaurants were good- a must to do instead of the dinner buffets- get your reservations early, Italian was great, hibachi just o.k.- was very rushed, poolside activities were great for the kids and adults (shoutout to Marco and Antonio), staff was great with the kids, great layout, everything is centralized, pools were clean the entire time, no bugs ever except two bee stings, towels aplenty, chairs not a problem but best to reserve by 9ish if you have a big group, poolside grill is convenient, most of the shows were entertaining, drinks were good, the bartenders excellent, we found out towards the end that the last pool near the splash pad was heated- the week was cool so this was helpful, cute shows in the kids club, nice splash pad for the younger kids but it gets shaded later in the day so it gets cool, bracelets as room keys were wonderful, casual dress is fine Cons-did not like the shower products-bring you own, lines getting into the restaurant if you go to breakfast past 9, café was good for snacks all day and coffee, two days the room wasn't cleaned. I had to call and they came, thought we were going to get a couple of golf rounds in but we heard it wasn't worth the price, a magician came to the dinner table one night- such a nice touch. They try super hard to please use here. The kids missed the lazy river and slides at the Jamaica Hilton Montego Bay from last year which is now a Hyatt. Suggestions- there is a giant Cancun sign one hotel over to take a picture. This hotel should have one, leave cups at the water dispenser at the poolside bar-you always had to wait in line which was silly, have junior Olympics in addition to the adult Olympics-kids were super disappointed that they couldn't participate. more food signs would be helpful, we found out after there for a bit that you can use your bracelet to see the daily activities. We were not told this when we checked in, more self-service options at the café would be helpful to avoid lines, more healthy options would be good during the day and at the pool, we got turned around when leaving because there was a small balance on my bill- i didn't realize they don't use the credit card on file- you need to check out. It is not automatic here. Bottom line- I can recommend this hotel for young families though we probably won't go back since we like to try new places-didn't love it enough but the weather was a factor here.

Beautiful resort and centrally located. Easy access to everything. The staff is very helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The Experience Team made us feel welcomed and kept the activities going. Huge shout out to Valdemar, Santos, Marco, Oscar, Hugo, Emilio, Michelle and Frank! They made everything fun. Beautiful pools and beaches. Just the vacation I needed!

Beautiful resort!
The resort is beautiful and a great location. The staff is very helpful. We had a great experience with Christian at the front desk and the entertainment team was amazing. Huge shout out to Santos, Marco, Oscar, Hugo, Emilio, Michelle and Frank on the entertainment team! The spa was beautiful and so nice. I had an amazing massage with Veronica. The food in the restaurants wasn't that great except for the Teppanyaki and the buffet but stick to the grills where they make the food to order. The coffee shop was amazing though! All in all this trip was great and the Hilton mar Caribe made it very special.

Chef Lilily and Alex at the buffet made our stay perfect. That is exactly the type for friendly service that will bring us back very soon. Everyone was very polite and helpful

The best bar men, Santiago, Oscar, great cocktails, and fun, they have to work so hard & make sure everyone is seen to, they love their job
