Nov 13, 2025One of the worst experiences of my life.
Wow. This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. We open our doors to an incredibly filthy room. Sand everywhere in the room. Somehow sand in the bed and sheets? Foot crumbs on the couch and on the floor in the living room and bedroom. Smeared glass with handprints and foot particles. The irony, our other guests in three separate rooms also experienced this same issue. Bugs, specifically roaches, inside of the room. In our three day venture we found 5. Roaches happen, I get it, but the reason they are there is because no one cleans the rooms. Mosquitos by the dozens in the rooms. Hot shower? Think again. Ice cold. Shower with any sort of pressure? Not a chance... think of a dripping faucet that you hope you can somehow use to wash yourself. We ended up using the sink. We asked to swap rooms twice and were told management was looking into it. Guess what happened? Nothing. Hard Rock is a cancer. Incredibly loud construction right outside our room - wonderful! Ask the staff to clean the rooms within the first hour, they say they will be right up. No one showed for 3 hours. We called again, they said they are on the way and so sorry. No one shows. I walk to the front desk and ask to have someone come clean, they state again they will be right up, someone finally shows up at 8PM to do a cleaning. We left the room so they can clean, we come back and find that they didn't change the bedding and missed all of the dirt by the door and on the dining table. What did they clean? Having two kids attempt to sleep during construction, which mind you, went past 10PM, was a treat. In three days our kids didn't go to sleep until past 11PM. Want to play with your kids in the pool? I hope you don't plan on tossing your kids a foot in the air, because lifeguards will immediately be on top of you telling you that you can't do that. One of friends infants was also injured due to lack of care by the staff, leaving a large sharp metal pipe protruding from the ground resulting in a large cut on his nose. What did staff do? Immediately showed up with paperwork for our friends to sign so that they cannot be held liable. Mind you, they also did not show up for 45 minutes. If you enjoy microwaved food and drinks with watered down booze, this is the place for you. When a server does show up to take your order, typically about 45 minutes, you can expect your food/drink about an hour after. And that was when we were tipping very high, mind you. After we learned it made no difference, we just stopped ordering. Want to go to the buffet and get a banana for your kids? Sorry, you can't walk out of the buffet with your banana to bring it to your child. All food must stay in the buffet. It was fascinating to be made out to be a criminal for literally taking a banana for my child. What a joke. In our 1 week stay, we left 4 days early due to how absolutely terrible this place is. I would pay NOT to stay here. Hard Rock staff refused to help, offering zero interest in actually being decent people. I can only hope my review will save at least 1 group from booking at this joke a resort. Side note, go to Cabo Azul and experience real service and an actually beautiful resort with amazing food for cheaper than this disaster of a place called Hard Rock Hotel.

Great time at HRLC

Hard Rock - Great Everytime
Chetan and Edson were fantastic. Very attentive and friendly. Actually, the entire staff was wonderful. Other than the connecting flight to get to Cabo we have nothing but great things to say about Hard Rock. I have a feeling we will be back.

Another Amazing Trip On the Books
This was our third time at this resort and it did not disappoint! We had such an amazing time. It was a perfect vacation. Chetan and Edson were phenomenal and thought of everything we could need. The food was on point and the drinks were in plenty! We will definitely be back!
