    Gran Vellas? Nothing better.

    This was our third trip to a Gran Vellas. This time to Cabo. We will be booking a 4th trip. Excellent accommodations, great restaurants, top service from all the staff in every dept you interact with.Awesome pools and spa like no other. if you have kids as we do and this is within your budget don't think twice about it. Plenty of people without kids there as well.

    Updated Review: Amazing Stay!

    UPDATED: The manager reached out to me after your last stay and offered for us to come back with our family. We took up the offer and I am so glad we did as my experience at Grand Velas this time around was 100% better. The butler was attentive and responsive with the messages and all our requests. The food at both Velas 10, Lucca, and Sen Li was delicious and service much faster this time around. The suite we stayed in was modern, clean, with wonderful rain showers that our kids loved. The outdoor pool was a perfect temperature for our kids to splash in when it was hot outside. I will say that the poolside service still tends to be on the slower side and it really depends on who your server is. The first few days we had a male server who took forever to come take our order and seemed to almost avoid coming to our area, rather focusing on his prior clients who he seemed to have already established a relationship with. But on our last day, we had a lovely server who from the moment we sat down, continued to come around and ask us if we wanted to order and if we needed anything. Having stayed at Las Ventanas, I will say that although Las Ventanas gives off a more authentic traditional, romantic vibe, with a larger family with kids, you just can't beat the all-inclusive offerings here at Grand Velas at a luxury level! Thank you for a lovely stay! Past Review: My husband booked a family winter vacation to Cabos for my birthday and we were looking forward to our stay in the Grand Velas Los Cabos. We had also looked into some other properties, including Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal and Las Ventanas but decided that we wanted to give this all inclusive hotel that portrayed itself as a luxury 5 start hotel a try, especially since we were traveling with young kids. We have stayed in other luxury resorts, including Four Seasons and Aman resorts around the world. Unfortunately, our expectations for this resort were not met from a service-management standpoint and in fact, I was sorely disappointed by the hotel management's response to my concerns. First, the positives: The hotel grounds are well maintained, the staff are friendly, and our concierge was very responsive to my messages or questions regarding dinner reservations and activities around the hotel as well as outside in town. He helped set up a taxi to go to a boat tour in town and I appreciated that. We stayed in the Governor's Suite and it was modern, clean, and spacious. The views were beautiful and unobstructed. I would recommend high floors. Now, the negatives: The poolside service was not at all at the level of a true 5-star luxury hotel. Each morning, I had to walk around and literally flag someone down to come get our orders and then, repeatedly so for each drink, water, or food item we wanted. In other hotels, the servers come to bring towels and waters as soon as you sit down in the lounge chairs and ask to take your order but not so here. On our second day, a lady from the "membership team" came to us and asked my husband if we would be available to meet with her for 15 minutes to go over membership opportunities to return to this hotel. She also indicated we would receive a $300 credit towards our stay if we would listen to her presentation. At that time, I was not unopposed to returning despite the pool service issues. The next day, she again sought me out directly and asked to meet with us. As our time in Cabos was limited, I gave her our availability and asked to meet with her at 10am the next day. Long story short, she bailed out on us last minute and never ended up meeting with us, even after we waited for her the next morning and delayed our morning activities for her. There was no apology from her (although my concierge did apologize for her actions) nor any explanation for why she wasted our morning waiting for her. We are DEFINITELY not getting a membership and she lost an opportunity for our future business here. Room Service: There was miscommunication about the turn-down service for our rooms in the evening and one evening, we returned from dinner to find that the turn-down service was non-existent and that they had skipped our room entirely. The food trays, etc. were all still left out and when I called the front to tell them about this, they offered to send someone up but at this point, it was time to put our kids to bed. Highly inconvenient especially when you're paying this much a night. When I asked to speak with a manager during the check-out time of my stay about my issues, in particular, the behavior of the "membership team" who had wasted our time and was a "no-show" - the front desk personnel told me that the manager was not available and that I could speak with him since he was a "supervisor." He basically just apologized but did not offer anything more for the inconveniences we experienced during our stay and the poor customer service we felt. As we left, a member of the "stay experience/quality" team came to me and said she would be reaching out to be directly about my stay but of course, no one has since reached out. I almost feel that this hotel is great for those seeking an all-inclusive, no frills stay in Cabos but for those seeking a true luxury, personalized vacation where service is truly, top-notch and the management truly cares about its guests - I would recommend another hotel, especially for the money. We will not be returning.

    Nothing short of wonderful!!

    My husband and I just returned from our Honeymoon at Grand Velas Los Cabos. Our stay here was nothing short of spectacular! We would like to give a special 'thank you' to our personal concierge Santiago Mora, he was extremely attentive throughout our stay and helped us book some last minute excursions. He provided exceptional service, making sure all went smoothly and that we were enjoying ourselves. He also made certain there were some sweet surprises to celebrate our honeymoon in our room and a personalized card! Given the opportunity, we would request him personally on our next visit! The spa offers some wonderful experiences and we loved our Meeting of Two Souls couples massage. With the water ceremony it took about 4 hours and we left feeling so relaxed. They provide you little treats along the way through the pre-massage water ceremony. We also received some lovely champagne and chocolate strawberries at the end! The restaurants and buffet offer diverse options and excellent food. The buffet has slightly different options everyday (and some staples) so you won't get bored with your breakfast and lunch. The poolside service has some great options and the service is top tier like the rest of the resort. The facilities, restaurants, and level of service at Grand Velas are truly incredible. I don't think we could stay anywhere else - they've spoiled us!! We cannot wait to go back!
