We visited this magnificent resort for a family trip with our 15, 12 & 10 year old kids. Every aspect of this property, from the gorgeous decor & design, to the perfectly manicured grounds, was perfection. The rooms are beautifully furnished, cozy, large & provide stunning views of the Sea of Cortez from the oversized & private balconies. The list of special & unique touches for these guest suites is long & the mini bar/snacks replenished daily were just right. All of the food we had was wonderful, from the breakfast at Azul, to an incredible steak dinner at Velas 10. Food & drink service poolside was excellent as well. All of the kids (& even the adults) had fun playing games as a family at the Teen Club. Staff everywhere, from check in to our lovely concierge, from waitstaff, housekeeping, room service, beach lifeguard to the coffee bar, were all kind, professional, accommodating & went above & beyond the level of service that we have ever encountered at any all inclusive property (probably any resort). A special shout out to Javier at Azul, who greeted our family daily with a smile & excellent service, Rocio, our sweet & helpful concierge, who was always available for any question or assisting with dinner reservations & Tessie in the teens club, who greeted our family with warmth, ordered & served younger kids dinner a few times & wrote loving notes to them before we left. These are just a few standout staff members over the course of our visit, but, truly, all were delightful, professional, hard working & kind. We will be dreaming of our next visit to Grand Velas Los Cabos...
Everything about this place is 5 star
This is the 1st review I have ever written but I would never forgive myself if I didn't. From the views, the spa, the pools, this place is incredible. I have to call out by name Emanuel Santana, the director of food and beverage. My experience with OTHER all inclusive resorts was the food was fair to good. EVERY meal here was an experience. From the Lamb shank and gnocchi at the Lucca, to the Tamahawk steak and lobster at the Vela's 10, and don't forget Piaf (the French restaurant and Fridda, traditional Mexican) every meal was amazing and the staff were on it. Even when when there was only about 10 of us left at the resort due to the Corona virus travel ban, (the ban took place when we had two days left so everyone left) they didn't pull back. Instead, they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. Well done Grand Vela's. We will certainly return!
We had a trip booked here, returning for the 3rd time. Unfortunately we were not able take the trip coming up in April due to the CV and decided (reluctantly) to take advantage of the cancellation policy for a full refund. This place is not cheap and the deposit paid in USD was $3,500 on a $12,800 trip. Only when I received my deposit back was I drawn to the fact I had paid in Paseo although my confirmation is shown in dollars. I received only $3170 back due to the exchange rate. Unfortunate and I think they should have made it clearer, but ok. Then I am told that if I had arrived at the resort and paid what I thought the balance was $8,000ish this would have actually worked to be much more as a dollar rate as the exchange rate has declined so much. Maybe it’s me but I won’t be going near the Grand Velas again!! I appreciate that credit cards exchange rate can be volatile and these are extraordinary times but still disappointed!
Outstanding dining and overall service.
My husband and I vacationed here with a group of work colleagues. The suites are lovely and large with beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez. The service is outstanding and the restaurants are all amazing! Our personal butler, Laura, was first rate and Eduardo served us Velas 10 for one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The Spa is the best Spa I have ever been to, hands down.
Easily the BEST!
This place is beyond awesome! If you are looking for a relaxing environment, with great food and drinks and the BEST staff, this is your place. I have been to many places in my life, and this is easily one of the nicest and best places I have been.
