DO NOT STAY HERE
The service in this hotel is absolutely disgusting. The list of complaints is endless. The building and beach is lovely but the experience is shocking. I stayed for 11 nights 02/06/2025 - 13/06/2025 for my 21st birthday with my Mum. The Dominican Republic is amazing, we did two excursions to Saona Island and Coco Bongo both booked through TUI which were incredible, the beach is lovely but the service really lets it down. I would recommend visiting the country but definitely stay in a better hotel. Airport: Total chaos, border patrol do not check your QR code visa to enter the country, lots of flights coming in a very small space, people everywhere and boiling hot. 50+ coaches all parked together not even in rows, a man helped us to our coach but demanded a $10 - $20 tip. Journey: Roads are very unsafe, no seat belts worn by transfer drivers, people walking down motorways, drivers over take on the other side of the road, 15+ people standing in the back of pick up trucks. Barrier has been crashed into all along the motorway way with bits missing and dented. Check in: Offered a drink on arrival but everyone was given the same. Waited over an hour to check in, no air conditioning in reception. The man was very nice and welcoming but just took too long. Room: Disgusting. No wall paper, covered in mold and brown liquid dripping from ceiling (See Photos). Room generally not very clean on arrival. Cleaner came at 5pm one day. Waited 3 hours to move rooms, walked to reception (which is far!) 3 times. Missed our dinner reservation at 6pm and was offered one at 9.30pm. Couldn’t see anything on TV remote (See Photo). New room was very nice. Beach: Nice but full of sea weed (See photos) which is only removed once or twice a week. Sea is full of seaweed, it wraps around your feet. Lots of sun beds which are free. But lots of men trying to sell you excursions, jewellery or coconut monkeys. Pool: Loud, busy, screaming kids, smells so strong of chlorine. Good pool but too busy and loud, we went one day and never again. Buffet: No spoons, napkins you must ask. No drinks you must ask but occasionally they do come over first but most of the time we had to ask and coffee machine is not allowed to be used at breakfast. Food is freezing cold and has most has no signs to tell you what the food is. One day I was brought a tea with no tea bag, just hot water. The tea is vile, tastes like soil, luckily I brought my own from the UK. Food it okay the earlier you go, I advise to go for breakfast and dinner as soon as it opens. Restaurants: No menus, given QR code to scan on phone. Restaurants are swarmed with flies, landing on your hands, drinks and food. Have to book days in advance on phone. Food is good but nothing special, good decor. Japanese restaurant is a great experience but all you get it a few pieces of chicken, beef, rice and veg all cooked in soya sauce (See Photos). Entertainment: Brilliant, team is friendly and happy. Show on at 9.30pm in the theatre every night. Activities on everyday. Staff: A lot of the staff were friendly and helpful but a lot were miserable and couldn’t crack a smile. The staff favour Spanish speaking guests, talking to them, hugging and taking photos, bringing them whole pizzas, drinks to their table instantly. Management is too relaxed, any complaints take hours or are never resolved. ‘Guest services’: The lady I spoke too struggled to understand what I was telling her and asked me to speak slowly about 5 times. For a hotel that 50% + guests are American, Canadian or British, guest services should have a fluent English speaker. They will try to pass you off to other people and no one wants to help. As compensation for our moldy room, we were reused money back but offered a beach cabana for the day. When we arrived we were given champagne, fruit and cold cooked meat. However, we sat all day and were not offered a drink and the lunch waiter never came. I went to reception twice and the second time was ignored by the manager. I was told to wait here and ‘Fredrick’ will come back to me, which I stood 15 minutes and he never did. I walked back and found him sat in reception. A waiter never came to us and I was told to go to the buffet. Then I was told the waiter is coming. Then I was told I’m lunch is not included. Then I was told lunch is a special lunch in the buffet. Then instead you can have a special meal in the Brazilian restaurant tonight. In the end I walked off and got a hot dog for the beach bar. VIP Scam: A concierge offered us a ‘VIP Lunch’ where we told it was lunch in the Ultimate Members restaurant but we were made to sign a form for lunch in exchange for 90 minutes of our time. A man sat on our table which made us feel very uncomfortable and spoke at us the whole time about joining the membership which is $600 per year per person and questioning us. They also put us down saying we stay in regular rooms and regular food as the ‘public’ which is insulting to all inclusive guests. He then tried to take us on a tour of the rooms and more but we refused as it was 30° and my mum had Multiple Sclerosis and is not able to walk around for 1.5 hours. Tipping: You are expected to tip, we did to who we felt gave good service but most didn’t deserve a penny, plus it is their job. In the UK no one is given a tip at work. Shop: Rip off. $5 for a fridge magnet, $23 for sun cream, $29 for a cup. $5 for a single line chocolate bar. Our coach stopped off at a supermarket so we were able to buy gifts there at $3 a magnet but the crisps were $4 a bag. Waterpark: Good, lots of slides, sun loungers and a good buffet. We spoke to many British guests and everyone was unhappy, all had a fault with the room, could not get a drink at dinner, poor service, poor restaurant experience and more. Torrential rain showers, lightning storm which lasted hours one night and no cover along the walk to your room from main buffet and entertainment so you get soaked. It did rain a few days at the beach but usually a passing shower. Overall, the hotel is a disgrace I would give it 3 not 5 stars. The island is beautiful but the service lets it down. I would recommend staying at another hotel but do not waste your money staying here. We leave tomorrow and it cannot come quick enough.

Awful. Disappointing. Terrible. Never Again.
This was our 8th DR holiday & we wrongly picked the Grand Sirenis & sadly stayed recently for a special occasion. The whole experience totally disappointed us after we spent a lot of money on this holiday in the DR. Management were ignorant, dismissive & obnoxious to us. They totally ignored my complaint. The concierge fiasco is just a way to try & get you to attend what amounts to a timeshare sales pitch. That is their only interest-getting you to sign up & getting your cash. The daytime food was dire especially at the open beach bar area on the beach. Some of the bar staff's attitude was rude. We will never ever recommend or return to the Grand Sirenis in Punta Cana so before customer service responds to this review with 'give us a chance again' etc-ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER. Hopefully others will think again & book elsewhere!

Disappointing
THIS IS NOT A 4-5star hotel at all!!! And not worth the money you pay! The food is awful, the buffet food doesn’t change, isn’t labelled very well so if you have allergies or do not eat meat/fish good luck! You have to ask for everything from cutlery to butter to salt, even drinks! Tables are never cleaned once you’ve finished food, the toilets are ABSOLUTELY VILE! The cleanliness in general is shocking! There’s rubbish everywhere and you’ll be covered in flies all day! The staff aren’t the friendliest nor can they be bothered with anything or anyone! One of the worst holidays we’ve been on! So disappointing that we travelled so far! And we didn’t get any help from Tui! Currently going through a complain now!
