Good hotel, great staff. Can’t wait to return.
We had our wedding here last April. Really happy with the hotel. Decor was a little dated and I’ve since found out it’s due renovations in 2025 so can only imagine it will improve. Loved the taco cart by the pool, the food in general was amazing as well as the Al a cartes. Cocktail menu was long and didn’t come across a “bad” drink. Location was ideal as it’s not too far from PDC.

Fantastic Trip at The Grand Riviera Princess
My husband our friends and I , just wrapped up an incredible week on the Riviera from January 28th to February 4th, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! We had a junior suite on the top floor of block 7, with a garden view, and it was pure perfection. The rooms were immaculate, and that shower? Absolute bliss! 🚿 We decided to level up our vacation by purchasing platinum bracelets, and oh my goodness, it was worth every single penny! ( $21 a day ) These gave us access to the exclusive platinum area on the beach, where we lounged on fabulous cushioned loungers under shaded huts. The premium alcohol selection was great —think Absolute vodka and Smirnoff. And the VIP access to the platinum pool? Just amazing! Plus, they had a cappuccino machine that you could use whenever your heart desired. The beach was a foodie paradise! 🏖️ There were fenced-in food huts serving delicious hotdogs, burgers, nachos, and more. Just a heads up: watch out for the raccoons and Coates; they’re sneaky little thieves if you dine outside of the food huts. The Coates stole my trail mix right out of my back pack. Honestly, I have zero complaints! The resort was massive, and we got our daily steps in. I hit the gym every day and even tried pickleball for the first time—what a blast! The food was decent, which is typical for Mexico, but the variety pleasantly surprised me. After sunset, we loved hanging out at the sports bar, playing pool and watching hockey games. It’s awesome that it’s open all night! The ocean? Pure paradise! While some spots were a bit rocky at first, they cleared up quickly, and I swam in those gorgeous waters every single day—even when the red flags were waving! I wanted to use the complimentary paddle boards that are offered. But sadly, they will only let you use them if the flag at the ocean is Green. I’m already missing the beautiful ocean, white sand, and that hot, sunny weather! 🌞 If you’re looking for a fantastic resort, I can’t recommend this place enough! Just a quick tip: I've heard stories about chargers going missing, so be sure to store your electronics, like AirPods, in the safe. Also, wear grippy shoes for extra safety with those stunning marble floors, and lay a towel in the bathroom to avoid slips. Oh, and let’s not forget my favourite shot—the minion! You’ll see it in one of my pictures. And my ultimate drink? The Mango Margarita was delicious! We loved mixing Absolute Vodka with club soda and different flavours of Mio (of our own) for a refreshing option with less sugar. Until next time, gorgeous ocean! 🌊❤️

1 Star Food at 5 Star Resort
Just returned and I have nothing bad to say about the facilities, rooms, pools, beach, and for the most part the staff. Very special shout out to the staff at the Sports Bar, the entertainment staff at the Tequila Pool, and our housekeeper Jose who did a great job our entire stay! This resort has the potential to be an amazing hotel as outside of the Buffett and restaurants we really enjoyed ourselves. The food and the customer service however is not 5 Star. There is no quality advantage to the A La Carte vs the buffet. @ Mamma Mia and La Vaqueria, our meals were inedible. Worst part, when I reached to complain about the food quality, no one would do anything to address my concerns to improve our stay for the rest of our trip. We had asked if they could find us a reservation at the Miso Teppanyaki to replace an additional reservation at one of the above restaurants, and they refused and left me for multiple hours without reply. Note when it comes to the food, 2 of the A La Cares La Fondue and Las Olas were closed the entire trip and La Fleur was incremental $ (and was not advertised as such). The much hyped poolside taco stand was also closed the entire time. Overall, The Grand Princess is advertised as a 5 star; however from a food perspective it is far from it. I expected a lot higher quality culinary experience and when I approached to provide feedback, they refused to even acknowledge my concerns let alone do anything about it. I fully anticipate that someone will reply to this review saying that they will provide my feedback and file a report. Don’t be fooled, this is all they told me while I was an active guest and refused to do anything to improve my stay after 2 inedible a la carte meals.
