  The poorest ever

  Looks like a war zone with ongoing construction extremely dangerous because of huge demolition of buildings and huge holes in the ground a lot of dirt that wind blows in the pools ,the pools I maintained and filters off the ocean has no access because tons of sewers outside on the beach and 15 -20 feet in the water ,short staffed,opossums all over the place including pool area comfortably walking around to drink and eat from leftover cups and food .the place is garbage and huge waste of money and nothing compared to what it used to be 5-6 years ago

  It’s been a long time since last holiday so for 1100 £ 7 nights is a good deal, the place is very big with golf carts going back and fourth that drop you anywhere on site, talking of sites split down the middle of complex is green netting as a big refurbishment is going on, you can hear generators and drills but it’s not that bad and if you hang out on beach you don’t hear anything, the beaches are covered in seaweed and despite lots of workers trying to rake it all up they never will win, it didn’t bother me as i waded past it and there’s cleanish sea water, I was told only place to go to avoid seaweed is a small island off of Cancun, the food buffets are amazing and the vast array of deferent food was incredible morning lunch and dinners so good 😊 the place is kept so clean and there’s a bus that can take you to player del carman, this town is very safe and lots of shops and restaurants, so many tours to choose from, I went to some Mayan ruins called ek balam and was amazing and you can climb all the pyramids legally the they drive you to a beautiful cenote for a cooling swim and lunch 😊 if I was flying from London I’d go premier as the seats are tiny so I upgraded for flight home, over all fantastic holiday 👍

  Great hotel!!!

  I just wanted to leave a review on the snack riviera buffet staff, Francisco de Asis has been a delightful server every morning of this holiday. Very attentive , polite , big smiles all the time, couldnt do enough for us. Drinks always full, plates cleared as soon as we were finished etc. He's a credit to the hotel! I will be leaving a more in depth review of the hotel as a whole in due course, but it's safe to say it's been a wonderful place to stay and would definitely recommend!

  A great holiday

  A great ten days at Grand Riviera Princess. Worth noting that half of the resort is undergoing refurbishment through the end of the year but this didn't make a difference to my experience. A couple of the a la carte restaurants have been moved and one or two not available but otherwise the resort is fully functioning. I was staying in a Platinum Suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony. The view wasn't special but the room was spacious and well maintained. I enjoyed being whisked away on a golf cart at the entrance to private checkin at the Platinum area. Food was good. I ate at the Al a carte restaurants most nights and, with the exception of the Mexican restaurant, none disappointed. Poolside drinks service was a little inconsistent, and some days there was none at all. But the bar is in easy reach. Sadly there were people who reserved the Bali beds early in the day and then didn't occupy them, but there were plenty of loungers. Overall a good holiday.

  This place will scam you!!!!! BE WARNED!!!

  I would give it a 0 if i could. This place scammed us into paying a ridiculous cancellation fee for a spa treatment. Neither the spa nor the concierge would pick up our calls to cancel and then when we tried to dispute the charge they said they only keep records of calls if the receiving line picks up meaning we have no proof and they can charge the card on file. We tried to raise this issue to the resort concierge staff expecting some leniency or for them to work with us but instead we were met with hostility and no effort to reach any sort of resolution. Instead they kept repeating the same statement over and over and then we were left to pay the fee because we couldn't leave without it. BE WARNED it you stay here to never make any appointments because you can't cancel it and they WILL make you pay it. Felt incredibly scammed. Will be reporting to the Mexico version of BBB
