Nov 12, 2025This is a Paradisus Resort?
We give this resort a 3.5. Lemon Fish, Sal, Tori, and Mangú restaurants will give you excellent service. However, Kicks and especially Agua Marina (by the beach) are a huge disappointment. Yesterday, November 11th, 2025, we waited 45 mins in Agua Marina for a server. No one would come to our table or any of the tables near us. We had to get up and go to the hostess to ask for service, even then it took another 20 mins before we had to stand up from our table and stop a server to ask them to please take our order. It seemed the head servers had all their attention on a table of eight people, two of whom wore name tags and seemed to be affiliated with the resort. We counted 7 servers, in a restaurant that was half full at lunch time, who all chose to blatantly ignore guests. It was incredibly awful service, so disappointing for a Paradisus Resort experience. Never have we seen such ignorant behaviour at any other Paradisus resort. Inside the resort grounds, the service is completely different. Staff are friendly, well trained, and attentive in serving guests. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the bar and restaurant staff are welcoming and happy to assist your needs. We avoided the golf cart ride to the beach after our experience, and enjoyed the on site amenities instead. Beware the aggressive Circle Member sales pitch. We are already Paradisus Club Melia members, and even so, they persisted with pushing Circle.

Amazing resort. Plenty of fun activities to stay busy throughout the day. The staff were very sweet and helpful. Family concierge was very welcoming and prompt! The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean! The hotel had a-lot of beautiful artwork. Would recommend to anyone who needs an escape !!

Everything seems satisfying except the fact that the restaurant reservations were bit tricky and giving priority to people who accepts to attend their circle reward sessions. This should not be the case and give equal opportunity to anyone who wants to do reservations upfront. Limited vegetarian/vegan food options with lack of variety daily. As a parent of 2 small kids, the addition of fun republic activities made our money worth.

Beautiful, clean resort - highly recommend!
The Paradisus Grand Cana is a beautiful resort. Very clean, the suites are spacious. The food was delicious and there were lots of options between the restaurants and the buffets. Staff were all friendly and there was always someone near by if you needed something. We booked through Costco Travel and had a personal concierge which I highly recommend. Ours was helpful, sending us the daily activities each morning and making our dinner reservations for us. The resort has lots of daily/nightly activities for adults and kids. The beach is a few minutes away on a golf cart and on the way to the beach is a kid's water park. I would absolutely go back to the Paradisus.
