  Very disappointed. Sports bar was being remodeled was told at check in we could still watch American football at another location. That never happened. Requested drinking water for mini bar, never received. Found out 3 days later we should have received a blue reusable plastic bottle to refill water from water station. That would have been fine if we were told about it at check in

  Okay stay but no desire to return. Staff were superb!

  I really wanted to give this place 4 stars! But for my first and likely last visit I have to be honest so 3 stars it is and here is why. First and foremost getting to Cozumel from the Cancun airport is an adventure in of itself. So be prepared. We prepurchased our ferry tickets which was a big help. I highly recommend using the cab service to your resort instead of the buses if you don't have your transfers prearranged. We learned this the hard way when arriving but we used the cab service on our return and it saved us a lot of time. The traveling alone was a deal breaker for us. Hubby and I have been many places over the 30 years and the older we get we just to want to get where we are going in one ride. Not 3. Overall it's a decent resort hotel. The Staff is what really makes this place shine. Everyone from housekeeping to the front desk were pleasant, and professional. They deserve 5 stars. Our housekeeper did a superb job keeping our room clean, beds made and she even arranged all of my shoes under the dresser. Kudos to her for that! The rooms are basic. Nothing fancy but the beds were very comfortable. Not spacious walk in shower! Decent size balcony but no views are minimal depending on your room location. This resort was only 60% full and we were told there were no kings beds available. It appeared many of the rooms only has double beds which needs to improve especially for couples who are vacationing here. The food was hit or miss. The buffet needs improvement. My sister who is an amazing cook thinks most of the food in the buffet area was recycled each day with the exception of theme night. Their fried chicken was very good and I enjoyed the seafood restaurant near the adult pool. Even my sister liked the potato salad which surprisingly was quite good. I wish they offered more snack options in the coffee shop but it was okay. If you have mobility issues, or use a cane, bring comfortable shoes. The walkways around the resort are all stone and may be difficult for some people to walk on. Not sure why they made it this way but just be mindful. The pools are nice and several to choose from. Debris from the trees constantly falls in the pool and they should do a better job keeping it clean. People were also spilling drinks in the pool as well. They do offer entertainment on most nights. We were looking forward to seeing the Circus but it never happened. Also be mindful if you are not fluent in Spanish or know some of it, during the entertainment most of the staff only spoke Spanish so at times it was hard to understand what was going on, but I pulled out my trusty phone and use my Google translate App to keep up. This resort is also a few.minutes away from the downtown area which was convenient for us since hubby and I like to go off-site and patronize the local restaurants. If you can explore the island a bit especially the restaurants, please do so. The locals would appreciate it. Overall it was an okay stay. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time together and family.

  dissapointed

  Would like Park Royal to be like it used to be. It used to be one of the best on the island but they have really cut corners in the last few years. I was hoping they had come back around but I have been having a much better experience at other resorts in Cozumel and will be going to other facilities from now on.

  Mixed feelings of this hotel

  Very average hotel.There are very nice panoramic pool and lots of space for snorkeling. The service staff is friendly throughout the hotel, thank you! Very disappointed with the food in the buffet (La Veranda). Although there is a lot of fruit at breakfast, which is always good. The rooms are bace and clean, but they are washed with something and it smell lasts for several days. The spa was no working, only paid massages can be ordered.

  Clean & comfortable facility

  Very good location with clean and comfortable facility - particularly with children. However, disappointed with the choices for vegetarians in your range of food choices. The Italian restuarant was a big disappointment as they served simple pizzas made from a frozen and not freshly made.Still had a lovely time.
