Great stay with a few areas to improve
We had a lovely stay at Grand Park Royal Cancun, and one of the biggest highlights was the Italian restaurant, especially the breakfast experience. The food was fresh, well prepared, and had authentic Italian flavors that really set it apart from typical resort dining. A special thank-you to our breakfast waiter, Verulo, who provided outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our mornings enjoyable. We also want to recognize another server, Eldermilio (apologies if the spelling is incorrect), who was wonderful during dinner service on Wednesday, 01/28/26. His service was attentive, professional, and made our dining experience especially pleasant. That said, there were a couple of disappointments. The hot tub was unfortunately not hot at all—but just warm, which took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Additionally, some of the pool waitstaff did not seem very pleasant and appeared unhappy or disengaged, which affected the overall poolside experience. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay and believe the resort has a lot of potential. With a bit more attention to guest comfort and staff engagement in certain areas, it could be an excellent experience.

Lovely hotel in a great location but disappointing food
The hotel is located on the hotel zone in Cancun in great position with lots to do within a mile walk in either direction (Cabo Bongo, Designer Mall etc). The hotel sits on a a beautiful white sand beach and has two great pools, one adult and one for families. The bars and drinks are great and the staff are helpful and pleasant . Our bedroom overlooked the sea and there was a balcony overlooking the sand with a beautiful view of the sunset. The hotel was clean and the room was pretty modern with two double beds mini fridge and well appointed shower room. Overall we enjoyed the experience and i have wide experience of all inclusive hotels all over the world and the hotel was very nice , not absolute luxury but certainly very nice and also pretty quiet - which we liked. However, the downside was the food. The cafeteria was no better than ok and the food not that appetising , however, there was a cooking island in the middle where you could get omlettes and eggs in the morning and some other dishes at lunch and the evening. There were 3 a la carte restaurants (Mexican, Italian and Asian) which were nicely decorated but i found the food mostly cold which detracted from every meal i had. It may have been better if it was warmed but it was a feature of the 3 restaurants over the entirety of our stay. The Hibachi whcih could be booked for Asian restaurant was good as it was dooked there and then in front of you. So overall disappointed and if it had been better this would have been a 5* rating. I should also mention beware the timeshare sell. If you are not interested don't go to the welcome meeting

Grand Park Royal Cancun
This family‑friendly resort offers a very good buffet, a nice selection of drinks at the bars, and excellent breakfast options available at two restaurants as well as the buffet. The beach is large and very nice. It would be great to see a wider variety of dishes added to the dinner menus at the Italian and Oriental restaurants, along with more frequent removal of sargassum from the beach.

Relaxing Beach Getaway
I met my sister-in-law in Cancun for a week of relaxation and catch up. The Grand Park Royal Resort did not disappoint at all!. The location and beach area is stunning - long and wide. Our Royal Select oceanfront double with jacuzzi room was truly magnificent! The mattress and pillows were amongst the most comfortable I have ever experienced whilst on holiday. The rooms were immaculate. The Adult only and VIP perks that come with the Royal Select service were well worth the extra cost for us. The Le Grand restaurant for breakfast and lunch was exceptional. We ate at all the specialty restaurants, all were very good, with attentive service at all of them. My SIL has many, many serious food allergies and we were a little nervous of visiting Mexico because of this (namely peppers/chilli’s/avocado/cucumber!!!!) The retaurant staff could not have been more accommodating for her. We had accepted that we may have been visiting the buffet most frequently because of this, but absolutely not! We loved the fact that it’s is a ‘hosted’ buffet, with allocated table seating service. Both indoor and patio options. It didn’t feel like a ‘typical' resort buffet. I felt the resort had a great balance between having loads of family/adult activities over in the main resort area and the perfect tranquility on the adult only beach area. The adult only pool had a couple of hours of a DJ or live entertainment (saxophonist!!!!!)mid afternoon, which was lovely to hear low key on the beach or louder by the pool. The cabana’s/day beds spread everywhere in these areas was great and very comfortable. I cruise a few times a year normally, but this beach/resort stay will definitely make me rethink that, for at least one of my getaway's during the year! All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Perfect resort for us in a perfect location!!!!
