We loved our stay at Grand Park Royal Cancun! Upon arrival, the staff was so friendly and helpful, bringing our bag to our room. The location is perfect, as it's located in the Hotel Zone and only about 25 minutes from the airport. We stayed in the main building in an Ocean front Deluxe room. We were on the 6th floor so our view from our balcony was the best! The room was always very clean and the bed was comfortable. The toilet/shower room was really small but otherwise a very nice bathroom area. The beach was clean and there were a lot of seating options. The cabanas are nice but require reservation. There is an adult-only pool area with a swim up bar that is great! We were especially impressed by Yolanda and Carlos, the bartenders! Yolanda walked around frequently in case you needed another drink. The drinks were great and not watered down. We really liked the Italian restaurant, especially their salad bar. I also got a steak there that was really good! Our waiter Fillipe was excellent! The rooftop bar above the restaurant had a great view and wasn't crowded at all. We also loved the shrimp tacos from the Mexican restaurant! The buffet restaurant was just okay. The Cafe had great ice cream!! The hibachi/Asian cuisine restaurant was also fabulous! The only criticisms I have is we had extremely loud neighbors that were up until 4:30 a.m. We called the front desk numerous times. They would call back saying that security took care of it when we knew that was a lie. They continued playing loud music throughout the early morning hours which was frustrating. Our air conditioning in our room also stopped working on our last night and there was no urgency from the hotel to get this fixed. It got up to about 78 degrees at one point. Also room service was impossible to get set up. Another con is the pools and hot tub close at 8 p.m. Despite the issues with the room, I would definitely recommend!

Apr 28, 2025Spectacular view, but not a resort fun vacation vibe.
Food needs a lot of improvement at the buffet. Italian restaurant was amazing and so was our server. Music by the pool horrible selection, and very low. Felt like I was at a community pool not resort style. Dj at bar by the Oriental restaurant played all TECHNO, you need to accommodate all audience. Bartenders could be friendly to interact with guests, they were too serious and not cheerful to be attending bars. Pool bars were slow not enough to attend to guests. Snack spot the same need more people and the food coming along faster. The AC in my room was not cooling at all. honestly my visit was short 2 nights and did not bother with maintenance. I think there is room for improvement.

Joe, we had a BLAST!!!!
Staff was very helpful and polite. Entertainment team (Joe) was on point with keeping you busy. He got some moves and great personality. The drinks were free flowing and plentiful: Karaoke was a blast: can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Park Royal for making my first destination trip worth topping!!!!!

Great stay
I went for my birthday our butler yajahira made our stay so awesome. Filled all our requests from all Pepsi in the fridge to reserving cabanas at the pool and beach for us, we also set up a message in the morning on my birthday and a candle light dinner on the beach for my birthday through her and everything was great, when coming back to my room in the afternoon my room was decorated by her for my birthday which was so sweet and thoughtful. Overall our stay was amazing.

Great staff but needs more elevators
I had a great experience with the services provided. Everything was handled efficiently, and the team was always attentive. At times, it felt like both the staff and the elevators were in a competition to see who worked harder—both were constantly on the move and a little understaff I’d like to especially highlight Ximena one of the concierge for their exceptional kindness and dedication. They truly went above and beyond to offer even to help is getting more milk, making a real difference in my experience
