    Maybe look elsewhere

Just got home from a week. This resort needs a lot of work! We stayed in a king swim out and yikes...the bathroom is the smallest I've ever seen! The bed was comfortable at least! The swim out was cold this time of year though! Let's talk food! NO BUENO! ALL OF IT!!!!! I am not a picky eater at all, but this place had me on edge with their food! I think I actually lost weight on vacation!!! Seriously...no bacon on the buffet either! NONE! Let that soak in! You can ask your server for some though! Weird. Drinks....typical watered down resort drinks. You do get a mini fridge with beers and soda! The people are friendly! If you're looking for a smaller non party resort, this is your place!!

    Most amazing vacation!

I had the most amazing time. Yajahira and Jessica are the best butlers ever and made my time there feel like I was their family.

    Could be better

Let me start by saying some of the good things about this resort: 1. The view and location on the beach is great. 2. Room service/cleaning is great. 3. Some of the staff are quite friendly. 4. Rooms are okay and the beds comfortable. Now on to some of the less impressive aspects: 1. The pools were too cold to swim in. During an entire week I only saw about 12 people brave the plunge. And they didn't stay in for long. It was January, so maybe they just don't heat it. 2. the hot tub was only lukewarm, although it was luckily warmer than the pool. 3. the food was several steps below what I have found at many other resorts in Mexico. Oddly, very little in the way of Mexican food options. No tortilla or stations making quesadillas. No guacamole and little in the way of salsas, which need to be requested. 4. Organization. An example. I went to the Italian restaurant on a Saturday night. It appeared closed. It was only six so I thought it maybe just was not open. I went to the concierge and asked them if it was supposed to be open. They said that it was open and that it would be closed Sunday night. I went back. Still dark and no one in sight. I came across an employee cleaning and they said that it was not open... on a Saturday night. Closed. So I went to the Mexican restaurant (the only place you can get Mexican food and only at night). It didn't open until 7pm. So I waited 45 minutes in the cold gale force wind weather. Eventually a huge queue formed. They finally opened and we were first in line. They informed me that they were only taking people with reservations and that the first opening was at 9pm if we didn't have one. When we checked in to the hotel, we were specifically told the only restaurant that had reservations was their hibachi restaurant. Now, of the restaurants options for a Saturday night, the Italian one was closed, the Asian one needed reservations, and now the Mexican one also needed reservations if you actually wanted a seat. Only one left was the crowded buffet, with a very poor selection as far as all inclusive buffets go. 5. I would sit by the pool for hours and hours and no one would come by to take drink orders, as in customary in other such hotels. 6. The restaurants were massively understaffed. Often with a single server covering 10 or more tables.

Great stay with a few areas to improve

We had a lovely stay at Grand Park Royal Cancun, and one of the biggest highlights was the Italian restaurant, especially the breakfast experience. The food was fresh, well prepared, and had authentic Italian flavors that really set it apart from typical resort dining. A special thank-you to our breakfast waiter, Verulo, who provided outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our mornings enjoyable. We also want to recognize another server, Eldermilio (apologies if the spelling is incorrect), who was wonderful during dinner service on Wednesday, 01/28/26. His service was attentive, professional, and made our dining experience especially pleasant. That said, there were a couple of disappointments. The hot tub was unfortunately not hot at all—but just warm, which took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Additionally, some of the pool waitstaff did not seem very pleasant and appeared unhappy or disengaged, which affected the overall poolside experience. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay and believe the resort has a lot of potential. With a bit more attention to guest comfort and staff engagement in certain areas, it could be an excellent experience.

Lovely hotel in a great location but disappointing food

The hotel is located on the hotel zone in Cancun in great position with lots to do within a mile walk in either direction (Cabo Bongo, Designer Mall etc). The hotel sits on a a beautiful white sand beach and has two great pools, one adult and one for families. The bars and drinks are great and the staff are helpful and pleasant . Our bedroom overlooked the sea and there was a balcony overlooking the sand with a beautiful view of the sunset. The hotel was clean and the room was pretty modern with two double beds mini fridge and well appointed shower room. Overall we enjoyed the experience and i have wide experience of all inclusive hotels all over the world and the hotel was very nice , not absolute luxury but certainly very nice and also pretty quiet - which we liked. However, the downside was the food. The cafeteria was no better than ok and the food not that appetising , however, there was a cooking island in the middle where you could get omlettes and eggs in the morning and some other dishes at lunch and the evening. There were 3 a la carte restaurants (Mexican, Italian and Asian) which were nicely decorated but i found the food mostly cold which detracted from every meal i had. It may have been better if it was warmed but it was a feature of the 3 restaurants over the entirety of our stay. The Hibachi whcih could be booked for Asian restaurant was good as it was dooked there and then in front of you. So overall disappointed and if it had been better this would have been a 5* rating. I should also mention beware the timeshare sell. If you are not interested don't go to the welcome meeting
