What We Love

  • Golden beaches, lush vegetation & gardens surrounding the resort that are impressive.
  • No reservations needed at any of the restaurants.
  • Working on your tan lines at one of the resorts three pools - the infinity pools views are stunning.
  • A kid-friendly resort with clubs for all ages, waterparks and a "Raggs" show, starring five musical pups.
  • Grabbing a frosty margarita at Viva Mexico and watching the sun set into the Pacific.
  • Beachy and land activities - like volleyball, tennis, catamarans, snorkeling and more.

Things to Know

  • You must take in the scenery as you venture to the resort - it's about 45 minutes to paradise.
  • The beach town of Sayulita is only 30 minutes away and highly recommended - full of fun little shops and surfing.
  • Spending "you time" at Zentropia Spa, but if you want to dip into the spa pools, it will be an extra cost.
  • Be sure to check out the on site mini zoo. It's the perfect photo op.
  • The seawater pool is adjacent to the ocean and includes a beach area, loungers and umbrellas.
This picturesque spot on Bandaras Bay is where palaces dot the shores and margaritas flow easily. There’s something here for the whole family: a children’s water park, adults-only pool and an unbelievable spa. Ending each day with the dreamiest of sunsets will make you never want to leave.

    Grand Letdown

I recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Hotel, and unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations. Here’s why: 1. Misleading Room Photos: The room I received was not like the pictures on their website. Instead of the two closets and separate living room and bedroom, we got a different layout. As parents, we hoped for a setup where we could put our baby to sleep without disturbing her while we hung out in the living area. 2. Limited Room Service Hours: Despite advertising room service as part of their all-inclusive deal, it was only available from 11 am to 11 pm. Late-night or early-morning cravings? Prepare to pay extra. This lack of clarity left us feeling deceived. 3. Mini Bar Disappointment: The mini bar was a letdown. We received only four sodas and two beers, with no option to purchase more. For an all-inclusive package, this was disappointing. 4. Upgrade Fiasco: When we tried to pay for upgrade to the family experience, the manager wouldn’t even discuss it. The front desk first told us it was possible, but we were met with indifference from the manager and claimed they were too full. It made us feel undervalued as guests. 5. Missing Amenities: The animal shelter/zoo no longer exists, and the baby club had limited hours and required reservations. No evening hours were available at all as they had limited staffing. This was the main reason why we booked the hotel. 6. Dining Dilemmas: Despite promises of numerous dining options, breakfast left us with only one restaurant choice or the pricey room service. Making reservations for fancy restaurants was a hassle. 7. Unhelpful Front Desk: The front desk staff’s bad attitude and lack of interest in addressing our concerns were disheartening. In summary, the Grand Palladium Hotel’s misrepresentation, limited services, unhelpful staff, and missing activities left us feeling undervalued. We cut our stay short and booked a room at the neighboring hotel, which truly offers an all-inclusive experience. I hope the hotel takes these complaints seriously and improves for future guests. I also hope they support my claim with the travel agency to get reimbursed for the 3 nights we paid but did not stay

    Great Resort

We came to this resort to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary. The cleanliness and facilities of this resort are top notch. The food was excellent at any time of day, whether it was the buffet or any of the themed dinner restaurants. The staff was so friendly during our entire stay, eager to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction.

    Excellent service at restaurant

This review is for Luis, not the resort. He was our waiter at the Mexican restaurant. The service was excellent. We were all very impressed. Five stars for Luis. The resort is nice, though staff are constantly trying to upsell you. The management at Palladium should stop doing this.

Great time, but resort lacks something to put it over the top

We had a great time at this resort (four adults, three kids, one week stay). However, I will say that this resort lacks in some areas that could truly make it an over the top experience. Luckily, most of the staff is amazing at this resort. We stayed in the Family Selection side of the resort. The biggest highlight of the Family Selection experience was having Nest as a breakfast option. It was great to be able to eat there and the staff there were some of our favorite people. However, the Family Selection pool often felt cramped and often all of the chairs were taken. The FS pool also needs some maintenance as there were many tiles missing in places. The area is surrounded by chain link fence right now which could be because of construction on the other side. It was not very attractive, but I wonder if the plants there had to be cut back. The butler or host service was okay. If you needed something, they were happy to help. However, it seemed more like a service where the butler/host would do special things or would be checking in often during your stay and letting you know what they can do for you. Finally, every night before dinner we would get a couple of drinks in the Family Selection bar. I feel bad because I forget the bartenders name, but he made great drinks and was always very friendly! If you choose this resort, I would suggest the family selection mostly because it seems as though the accommodations are a bit larger. Portofino was the best restaurant followed closely by Adelita. Many people mention Luis in Adelita and he truly was a great waiter. Also, El Bosque was best at lunch. We typically went as they opened and the food was hot and fresh. Not to mention there were fresh tortillas and they would make you quesadillas or tacos. Unfortunately, Las Terrazas was not a good experience. It was by far the slowest restaurant and there seemed to be only one person running food (and he was working very hard!). Also, three of us had ordered sparkling wine. When my wife got a refill, the wine was obviously a different color and it was flat. The waitress tried explaining it was a different sparkling wine. That was fine, but the problem was that the wine was flat. It was a weird interaction. The night shows were fun, but sometimes they took too long to get going. The BINGO night was probably the most drawn out experience of them all and got boring after a while. It was nice to sit on the plaza at night and get drinks! The weekend seemed significantly more busy than other days. There were a lot of people I only saw for maybe a day or two and it was really crowded. This really made it uncomfortable as the pool had A LOT of people in it and chairs were impossible to find. Overall, the resort is beautiful and I actually enjoyed how much it took to walk around. However, it would definitely be very difficult for any one who struggles to get around. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something the resort lacks to put it over the top as a great resort. It was very cost effective which is what attracted us to the resort in the first place. I would say if you have never done an all-inclusive resort before, this would be a great place!

Not a good value for the money

I paid more than $2K for 4 night, 5 days. I booked a “panoramic ocean view” room and didnt received it. I was told to come back the next day to check-in, but the lobby was swamped with more than 30 guests checking in or out. Also, they did not offer food service at the adult pool. How crazy is that for an all inclusive hotel? Finally, be prepared to walk, a lot. Bad design forces very long walks from many rooms to the hotels amenities and beach.
