Beautiful Resort, Subpar Customer Service
The resort is a beautiful at a scenic location. The buffet food was quite good. Dessert was not the best but not a deal breaker. Bamboo was surprisingly excellent. However, be aware to be preclude on time otherwise restaurants will not accept your reservation. I attempted to go to the Italian restaurant but was 15 minutes late due to the photographer taking a long time. They would not serve us. I would have understood of the restaurant was busy but it was half empty. I noticed an hour later that they had closed early. Reception and employees at the bara did not want to give smaller peso bills since the bank machine only gives it large bills. Consequently, I was unable to tip the staff regularly. The bank machine also has a large charge for taking out pesos. My daughter enjoyed attending the kids club the first two times. The staff were welcoming and kind. However, she returned a third time with different staff who did not attempt to speak to her or engage with her. She is shy and needed someone friendly to welcome her and the child minder seemed disinterested in including her on the activity. There was only one staff member with the kids and there should have been at least one more staff member to make sure there was enough supervision. My daughter was upset and we ended up leaving. We did not return to kids club as she was really upset with her experience. Overall, it was a beautiful resort but customer service was poor and there little attempt to make our stay comfortable. I would recommend Club Med for families as they seem to go out of their way to make families enjoy their stay. We still had a wonderful time as the facility and scenery is absolutely beautiful.

Great Resport, Great Beach, OK food
This is my second time coming to Grand Palladium Vallarta and I was a little more dissapointed this time around. I do believe the food has become worse since by last visit and it was nearly impossible to find a chair at the beach every morning as people decide to leave beach towels on the chairs before 7:30am each morning. Other than the food and struggle to find a beach chair, the beach is beautiful, facilities and clean and well-kept, I always felt safe and welcome by the staff. I think they need to improve on their food and buy more chairs of have more strict rules about chair saving at the beach and that would solve a lot of their problems.

The grounds at this resort is beautiful. Beach was great. Very sandy. Lots of stairs and uphill walking on the man grounds. No elevators. We booked an oceanfront deluxe room. Our room was facing the kids pool with a big palm tree in front. No view of the ocean nor was it oceanfront. Had to upgrade to get a better room. It felt intentional. Their family selection area was what we would call the premium upgrade. The name lead us to believe it was meant for families not a premium upgrade. It wasn’t explained when we asked for an upgrade. They kept saying the family selection. Our bad for not asking more questions. The family selection area has its own pool and restaurant. Very lovely! It was away from the main pool and adult pool. Food! The restaurants were easy to book. Food was good at the restaurants but often cold or lukewarm. Buffet was good at breakfast and lunch. Dinner was less than desirable. Food was not replenishment and areas were left picked over and unclean looking. Food was often cold unless you went to the taco bar, fresh fish. Beach buffet was terrible! Cold! Cold pizza, cold hotdogs and hamburgers. Only hot food was tacos. Smokers had few options for a dedicated space and no one at the resort enforced it. One guy thought it was his right to vape in the pool! This speaks to this guest is as a person but it also speaks to the resort not wanting to enforce their own rules. Adult pool was a great spot. Issue at this pool was the number of chairs available. We became those people who went early to save a spot for ourselves. Even the beach don’t have enough chairs. Great service at the adult pool bar. Friendly and fast. Entertainment. If you were there with your children than I bet you would love it.the lobby bar and the entertainment area were in the same area. Kids entertainment started at 8pm which meant the lobby bar area was not a place to go and enjoy a cocktail with friends. You had to go to the Hamilton bar which was for 18 and over. Great spot. It was away from the entertainment area. Coffee!!! There was no coffee area in the morning. There were coffee cart with machines that made lots of drinks. Problem was they didn’t work most days. It felt like an inconvenience to get something other than basic coffee.

Get away vacation
We were particularly impressed with the service and help from the PTC concierges Antonio Lupian, Brando Elizondo and Fernanda Hernandez. The trio made our trip a wonderful experience.
