Dec 17, 2025Beautiful Location, but Staff’s Tip-for-Privileges Approach Ruined the Experience
The Grand Palladium has some positive aspects. The pool and beach are very nice, the weather during our stay was beautiful, and the buffet offers a wide variety of choices. However, several issues seriously affected our experience. The rooms feel old and poorly maintained. We had problems with the shower and complained several times, yet no one ever came to fix it. It felt like our concerns were heard in one ear and forgotten immediately, which was frustrating and disappointing. Another unacceptable issue is the situation around the pool. By around 6:30 a.m., all pool beds are already taken, not because guests wake up early, but because staff allow some guests to tip pool staff and bartenders to reserve loungers with towels. This is unfair, as all guests have paid for access to the pool and should have the same chance to sit and relax. The tipping culture throughout the resort was also uncomfortable. Cleaners knocked on doors to ask for tips, and hotel staff aggressively asked for reviews. These behaviors felt inappropriate and took away from what should have been a relaxing vacation. Overall, while the beach, pool, weather, and food variety were enjoyable, the outdated rooms, lack of maintenance response, and unfair practices significantly impacted our stay and need to be addressed by management.

Simply Amazing
Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa is definitely a wonderful place to go and have a great time, rest and relax. It's family oriented, it's huge, and the service is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it if you're celebrating a Birthday as I did, a wedding or just simply vacationing it is a must check out , a must do, I promise you'll love it!!!!

Grand palladium Punta cana 👎👎
This is my fourth stay in grand palladium hotels. Twice in Mexico and now twice in Punta cana but I won’t be returning. Stayed here two year ago and had full use of the entire complex, now however guests in the Punta cana hotel no longer have the use of the newly opened Bávaro section. If I had known this beforehand I would never have booked . Only on my fourth night and am bored stiff. Also now with the restricted restaurants I haven’t been able to book any of the a lacarte restaurants as when I tried to book some on my first day on the app it said no availability for the entire fortnight. Other than the adults only Hemingway bar there isn’t much choice other than the lobby bars.p.s I’ve never felt the need to leave a negative review before. I will definitely be choosing the luxury amber hotel in the Bahia principe complex next time as I stayed in that last year and it beats this hands down 👍
