Aug 12, 2025Major Dissappointment
Check-in staff and concierge desk staff made us feel like we were bothering them. Not helpful at all! Room service and dining service staff were mostly nice. Bathroom layout was horrifying!!! Sliding glass door leading into the room from the tub, having to step over a TALL ledge to get into it, then no shower curtain…allows the shower water to go EVERYWHERE!!! Had to use multiple towels just to keep from falling! Promised access to 3 resorts, get there and they are renovating one whole area and Many of the other restaurants, so only have access to a 3rd of what was promised. Will not ever use this resort again!

If you want a really nice all-inclusive holiday, where the rooms are modern, the food is amazing, and you are able to relax, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is, by far, the worst all-inclusive resort in which I have ever stayed. I could not relax because I was constantly being sold something. Staff that wear white tops and black bottoms are trying to sell you trinkets. Staff in the blue shirts are trying to sell you spa services, and staff in the white shirts and red hats are trying to sell you excursions… ALL DAY LONG. If you go off the resort, it is the same thing. We were treated like cash cows and not human beings. You did not know if they were being kind in order to get a sell or tip or if it was genuine, and they constantly played bait and switch. There was excessive seaweed on the beach, and the resort did not try to clean it, so I did not get into the ocean at the resort at all. The food and beverages were horrible, and the food signs were either incorrect or missing. We turned eating into a game, “What is that food?” where we made commentary on what we thought we were eating. The only good food was at La UVA. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and are esthetically pleasing; however, the rooms have seen better days. When we first arrived at the room, the floor was dirty with sand from the previous guest. The mini fridge was leaking and moldy. The pillows and sheets reeked of a foul odor. There is a huge tub in the bathroom that you have to hop over in order to take a shower and there is no tub grips, so the bathroom can be a dangerous place to be. The TV was leaning so much it looked like it was going to fall out from the wall. Once the AC reaches the desired temperature, it stops then comes on every other minute for a minute. So in a hour, the AC comes on 30 times. When the AC comes on, if the lights are on, it resets them so they flicker. The evening entertainment was okay, but I have definitely seen better. I could go on, but you get the idea….just go somewhere else where they appreciate your money.

Hot and humid rooms and restaurants.
Hot villas, buffets and overall terrible service. I visited last week with my family. We had 5 rooms. The rooms were hot, humid and smelly. My villa in particular had many issues . Broken door handle, broken refrigerator, everything there was hot. Broken phone , no fail tone . And worse the AC was at 25.7C super hot . I contacted guess services and fixed the door but the refrigerator continued to be warm . The phone never was fixed. AC I was told that the normal temperature. The food was terrible, hot temperatures and flies all over the food . Bad experience there .

Best Vacation Ever
My husband and I travel a lot. This was one of our best vacation ever. The place is beautiful, however it was the people that made it so special. I was celebrating my birthday and Maritza Gutierrez went way and beyond to make it so special. She decorated my room and door, and had a cake brought to me for dinner that night. Maritza made sure every second of our 10 days were amazing. She is amazing. She is a big part of why we will be back. Also want to recognize Kimbel Guerrero, Anna and Michael as well.
