What We Love
- It's all-inclusive and all-aahmazing - a beachtastic wonderland.
- All the restaurants are reservation-free. You can show up on your own schedule.
- The Zentropia spa with Swedish massage & the cold bath "eco-meditative" treatment. Brace yourself.
- Relaxing in the hammock area and booze snoozing it for an afternoon.
- The food options - if you're gluten-free or have allergies they've got a special menu.
- Hanging out at the turtle nesting area - you'll love these sweet little babies.
Things to Know
- It's 50 miles south of Cancun airport. It's a drive, but when you arrive, you won't want to leave.
- The grounds are massive, so you'll be hoofing it a lot, but there are shuttles to cart you around.
- You get four resorts for the price of one - three other Grand Palladiums are a coconut's throw away.
- Bring water shoes. Most of the beach is great, but it's rocky where you might want to snorkel.
- Six tennis courts along with wave after wave of water sports like kayaking, water polo & more.

Amazing service
We love staying in Grand Palladium, for a decade we always have the best service. Very excellent and beautiful place for a vacation with family.

The resort exhibits commendable aesthetics, albeit with several notable shortcomings. The rooms are in a state of disrepair and require immediate renovation. The service provided is inadequate and falls short of expectations. The food quality is subpar and unsatisfactory. Monkeys and rats are found roaming the premises, including the pool area and the outdoor restaurant. Outlets not working in Rooms Spa is nice Service in the lobby bar was good. Service in b the steakhouse was good. Stores are overpriced. Reservations for restaurants not good ( couldn’t get the day or time slot needed) . Roman bathtub very difficult to get into. Edging on tub very sharp. I do not recommend this resort

Hit and miss
This is a hard review as we USED to love this place, in fact we got married here in 2010 so it did hold a special place for us BUT since the addition to Family Select anybody who books a “normal” room in our view is treated in the minority. We were here for two weeks but could not get bookings for all al la carte restaurants over the entire two weeks? Yet look through the window theres either empty tables or plenty of people with family select wrist bands. We arrived 10th August and the first week around the hotel was good. The room itself was nice but many things missing. No bin, no working hairdryer, room phone not working. All minor annoyances but when you have to walk back to reception to ask for replacements due to the phone not working - pretty poor. Our room was not made up for two days. I didnt say anything the first time but the second it was frustrating!! Mini fridge in room often not replenished. Beach bar closed the entire stay! We couldnt get back into our room one night due to the lock mechanism falling apart - again a walk back to reception to be told at around 11pm someone will come “in a bit”. I had two children to get to bed but couldnt be told what time help would come. Second week has been utter chaos. Hotel ridiculously busy with upto 20 min ques in the heat to get into buffet restaurants. When we actually got in food was replenished slowly. Bar service was slow when you were not ignored for south americans/family select customers. Most bars had 1-2 staff for the volume of customers was poor and we often gave up trying to get served. Positives were drinks were strong (when you could get one). Steak restaurant was ok although one night we waited an hour for the main course but the order was entirely wrong and cold! The one big positive was the evening entertainment which our children really enjoyed! People reserving sunbeds at 0730 to not turn up until 4pm is just wrong and really needs looking at.

Another fantastic stay at the Grand Palladium
We’ve just returned from a 2 week holiday at Grand Palladium with our 9 year old daughter. This was our third visit – the last one was 10 years ago. Summary: - We had the most fantastic holiday. The hotel was mostly as we remembered it, however there is a lot more effort placed in “up-selling” than there was previously. - We loved the wildlife that can be seen throughout the resort. Coati, iguanas and agouti were wonderful to see every morning. - The staff were mostly wonderful and spending the additional money to be part of PTC (Palladium Travel Club) was worth it for us – we made a lot of use of the beach bar and the premium spirits were well received!) Room: - We booked a room in the Colonial, and this was the only disappointing aspect of the trip for us. - I had contacted the hotel prior to our visit, requesting a room with a view. - Upon arrival, we were shown a room on the second floor that had a very “damp” smell and the balcony looked out immediately on to a wall of green jungle, with no daylight. - I understand that the hotel is located in the mangroves, however, having stayed 3 times previously, this was a poor room to be assigned. - We returned to Reception and were offered several different upgrades (at a price). We elected to move to the Kantenah and for a small additional fee, were given PTC bracelets (which really made a big difference to our holiday). Staff: - All I can say is that the staff at the hotel are fantastic. Like everything in life, if you put a little in, you will get a lot out. - We tried a few words of Spanish, always with a smile, and were rewarded with wonderful people working extremely hard to make our holiday even better. - Some staff went above and beyond and we would like to thank the following people for their fantastic service: o Javier (La Hacienda restaurant Chef) – cooks the best eggs and omelettes, exactly as you want them, and always with a smile on his face o Daniel and Ricardo (La Hacienda restaurant Waiters) – provided fantastic service and always made you feel welcome o Fernanda, Lore, Emma and Karen (Kids Club) – our daughter had the best holiday she has ever had, and much of this was down to the fantastic effort that these ladies put into making the children feel at home in the club. They are a credit the hotel! o Virginia (Colonial reception) – We were very grateful to Virginia for the effort she put into trying to resolve our initial room issue. Virginia was a great help. o Joel and Adela (PTC Beach Bar) – Joel and Adela provided an incredible service. They took time to get to know the guests, and nothing was too much trouble for them. o Marcelino (La Hacienda Pancake Chef) – By the end of the holiday, our daughter had almost eaten her body weight in pancakes. This was down to Marcelino’s fine work! - One area of improvement for the hotel, would be some training for the staff in the Sports Bar. I visited 3 times and every time found it to be a place where the bar staff clearly did not want to be there. I respectfully asked for a football game to be shown on the big screen and for the audio to be switched on, and was effectively ignored. The bar maid just carried on cleaning the ketchup bottles. I found it quite disrespectful. The second and third time I returned to the bar, the level of service was the same. Completely different to everywhere else in the resort. This could do with some focus.
