So Bad it Was Laughable
I have stayed at at least 20 properties in Cancun and Play Del Carmen and the Oasis brand was by far the worst. It's true that you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a cheap spring break type of experience with lots of drunk people, cheap alcohol, bad cafeteria style food and party all night, this is the place for you. I was here with a group of ten friends in our 20's and ended up leaving early as the experience was not good and we were all sick with stomach troubles by the end of the week. The food was just gross or tasteless and the lowest quality. I thought with all the restaurant options I would be able to find some decent food, but I tried them all and could barely find anything edible. I mostly ate eggs and fruit all week. The rooms were musty, vomit in the pools, people being arrested for lewd behavior in the pools at night, drugs for sale on the beach and a very apathetic staff. But I don't blame the staff at all, based on the way I saw guests treating them. They all seemed very beaten down. It was very upsetting to see how they tried to manage all the drunk guests and taking all the demands and abuse. The only good thing about this place was the beautiful beach. I would say save your money and stay somewhere else, as there are many other great options for a bit more money. All inclusive is not necessarily a good deal if you're getting unlimited quantities of terrible food and alcohol. I will never stay at on Oasis property again.
SAVE YOUR MONEY
My boyfriend and I traveled here last year for five nights. We had no AC for the second, third, or fourth night. MISERABLE. Could you imagine staying in Mex with no AC? Rude staff. They never greeted you. Empty cups laying around the whole time like no one was ever cleaning. No entertainment. One day they had pool entertainment for an hour. Was doing construction the whole time so it was very noisy. And no one told us about the sister hotels until our third night. Which fially gave us something to do in the evenings. The worst part was during C/O the front desk said we owed 700 pesos for room service... it's an ALL INCLUSIVE. When we asked for a receipt she simply said "pay first then I will give it" when we asked for security all a sudden we didn't owe anything. Do not go here. They will try and take your money and they are not friendly.
Overall blech, you get what you pay for.
PROS: Clean sheets, a good view and if you're lucky in the black package, a mini private adults only area CONS: terrible drinks (and very minimal selection), terrible cafeteria-like food, lack of towels, was 2 hours late checking us into our room, no clear navigation if you've booked via CheapCarribean to which lobby you should be staying in.Not much entertainment at night, the two bars were very odd and the club kinky we were really looking forward to was closed. I will say, you get exactly what you pay for - we knew it wasn't going to be the greatest, but it was just so bad it was laughable This would be great if you're on spring break for the cost of it- but otherwise avoid it
DO NOT GO HERE
ROOM/ FOOD WAS TERRIBLE BOARD OF LINE PRISON FOOD Spoke with someone named Robin Perez who claimed he was supervisor, very UNHELPFUL and rude. Said there was nothing he can do for an expensive item that was left in my room. I advised if he did not assist I will have to have my lawyer look into the stolen/lost item. He then advised he didn’t care and can tell the travel agency, hotel or lawyer he didn’t care. Are these the people you hire ? The way you assist with clients property
Our fourth year in a row and excellent once again!
We can't say enough about how great all the staff was. The Bartenders, Pedro, Alejandro and all the others. Our number one man was Rudolfo in the VIP Lounge. Thanks Rudy!!! Andre and Sergio in the Concierge were of great assistance. The food was great every where we ate as it was in the previous visits. They have made a few changes on the beach adding more day beds and bars. Our favorite Lifeguards Roberto and Manaing made for great fun daily on the beach
