Amazing family holiday in Cancun 2024

We were a group of 14. When we arrived, there was only a short way to get to our rooms so we were able to eat at the buffet until they were ready. The rooms were fine, and housekeeping kept them very clean, straightening up every day. Our fridges were refilled every day and we often had a small treats in the evening like chocolate covered strawberries. Thanks to our Concierge Francisco who spoiled us throughout the week. We really enjoyed the restaurants in particular Benazuza. Excellent meal/experience. Met the chef and we were very impressed!!. Previously, we also did the Black Sens restaurant and that was a great experience. We ate at Le petit chef for the first time. It was a unique and fun experience.our waiter at Careyes, Jose, was fun and friendly and made the experience better. The waiters at Benazuza were also excellent. Our concierge Francisco, was super helpful with everything from making dinner bookings, getting fish food for the kids so they could feed the fish, providing us with toys for in the pool, and all around keeping in contact, ensuring we had everything we needed or wanted.

    Go Anywhere Else

I’m so disappointed in this stay. I will never stay here again. I got extremely sick from eating something the first day of our stay (that was from an upgraded Pyramid restaurant may I add) I’ve been extremely sick since and haven’t been able to eat or drink anything else. This was supposed to be a way for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary and get some time away to relax since becoming new parents last year. I can’t wait to go home.

    My birthday experience

I was really disappointed the way that the hotel is really big and have left of areas that the customers cannot use. For example the disco they close at 12 and they do not allow more of 120 people is at all inclusive hotel that close bars that close that disco that they don’t have any other entertainment spot besides being in front of the pool they close the access to the beach and they did not allow the customers to go to all the restaurants because they have a app to have a reservation dinners in Manny of the restaurant when you try has to be 24 hours before and most of the time is full, you cannot set an specific time because there’s no Reservacion I’m that time and you need to get and deal with them so they can give you the time they want it was my first experience in Cancun Mexico and I don’t think I will be back because of the management they have

Beautiful Grounds, Friendly Staff, Horrible Food, Outdated Rooms

I joined some friends on a group trip, so this was a last minute trip and I did not research the resort before booking. The group rate was a great deal but looking back, I would have paid more money to stay at a nicer resort. Pros The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pools are nice, there are plenty of lounge chairs by the beach, and it’s clean. The resort has peacocks walking around which is a nice touch. Drinks: It’s easy to get drinks at the bars. I only drink white wine, so it was always available for me at the bar. Service: The staff were friendly and professional. Cons Food: The food was sub-par. I’ve stayed at all-inclusive resorts before and this resort has the worse food I’ve ever had. It’s hard to dine anywhere but the buffets. They advertise a lot of restaurants, but you need a premium package to eat there. We ended up leaving the property to eat better food. Rooms: The rooms are outdated and worn down. They are in desperate need of refurbishment. We had to get moved to a new room because our AC didn’t work. The bathroom in the new room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a random fire alarm beeping in the hallway all night that kept me and the guest in the room next door to to mine awake on the first night. Despite the deficiencies, I would say the staff onsite were great. Since the food and accommodations were terrible I would never return or recommend this resort to anyone else.

If you can, go somewhere else

We love to travel and this time my husband, my parents, and my daughter’s family went to Cancun for a wedding. The wedding was beautiful, the minister was amazing, the ceremony, the party all so nice. Other than that, the stay was really piss poor. Food is horrible at the buffet, especially TunKul. Waiters are not nice, it seems they’re mad at people all the time. There’s a handful of exceptions, like Carmen at the Coffee and You shop by the Bahia Restaurant. She’s nice and friendly. Margarita who did our room was amazing as well, Romeo at the wet bar, Jesus at the Tatish Buffett and Evelyn at the hamburger place at La Placita were nice as well to us. Maki Taco and Bahia restaurants are good. Food is delicious. Service ? Not so much. Waiters again cranky, seemed that didn’t want to do their jobs. We had Rodrigo one day and Ricardo the next one. Both same attitude. So sad. Why we went back to the restaurant that had such bad service ? Because it’s almost impossible to get a reservation anywhere else. And in Maki Taco you don’t need a reservation. Just go early for dinner, if not, you’ll have to wait over an hour to eat. Front desk people is horrible, concierges useless, security personnel at the souvenir shop rude. One of them closed the store door right on my nose ! We’re never going back there. Ever again.
