Gorgeous property, fantastic service
The property is stunning but the service was even better! Everyone we encountered was kind, helpful, warm, and genuine. Raul and Miguel at the pool bar were so attentive and made the absolute best margaritas. Aylin at the bell desk was so sweet and helped us coordinate transportation quickly and efficiently. We were so appreciative and LOVED our whole stay.

Wedding Dept was unprofessional
Tried booking my wedding here and got strung along. Every week they told me they’d send a proposal and I never got one (this went on for a month). I’m disappointed as I loved the venue and would have understood if they were booked but the constant “we’ll send it by X” and never receiving it was unprofessional. For anyone planning a wedding, I would not get your hopes up for this place unless you have a wedding planner. My assumption is they treat reoccurring business better than a one time buyer.

Theft and Gross Negligence at Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen
During my recent stay, someone with access to the guest rooms entered my room, unlawfully went through my personal belongings, and stole my property. I filed an incident report regarding this theft, yet to date, I have received absolutely no communication from the resort, despite my follow-up attempts. Moreover, following my report, I was forced to wait for over three and a half hours at the reception, during which I received no apology, no compensation, and no urgency in addressing the issue. Beyond the theft, I experienced gross negligence in regard to their service. Our mini bar, as part of the all-inclusive package, was never restocked. I am beyond disappointed with the inadequate response, the theft of my personal property, and the utter disregard for my time and wellbeing.
