A wonderful first visit to Mexico
This was our first visit to Mexico, and we could not have chosen a nicer place to go. The hotel was spread out across a set of six blocks, each with a pool and a bar, and all within a few minutes of each other, the beach, and the restaurants. There were many pleasant and comfortable shaded areas to sit in, to read or chat or people watch, or enjoy the appearance of the iguanas, of which there are approximaely 300 on the property. The food was good and varied. The a la carte restaurants were very good, especially the WOK , which served delicious Thai food; a special shout-out to the waiter, Cruz, who is charming and efficient, and has a great sense of humour. We were in a comfortable room in Block 1, which is on the beachfront and in between two great beach bars. Unfortunately, Block 1 is also close to the very busy "animation" square, where the activites and music start at 10 a.m. and continue until 10:30 or 11 p.m. Mind you, this didn't disturb us particularly, as we enjoyed watching people enjoying themselves! We hope to return next winter, and hopefully will be able to secure a room in Block 5, which is adults-only and removed from the noisier areas. We took a whale watching tour one day, well organized by Moses at the Block 4 lobby tour desk, and were thrilled to see numerous mama humpbacks with their calves. The whales even breached frequently right in front of the hotel, which was a special treat. The whole property is kept spotlessly clean and tended. All in all, excellent value

Always a good time/ Always room for improvements
So we just got back from Grand Royal de Cameron. Here is my review..We checked in which is always an experience. Emailed them previously that I have RA and cannot do many of the stairs. We also told them that at the desk. So where did they put us? 3rd floor and said there were no other rooms available, eventually we did move. My daughter and her family of six asked for an adjoining room. Sure they said..so where did the put them? Right by the disco and there were certainly 2 rooms but one in between!! With young children they don’t want music going all night. Would go smooth if they knew the room layout and listen to the people. So we go to our room which was clean and even though it lacked outlets we brought a power bar to help in that. Ppl said that some of the rooms had a 2 prong outlet so maybe bring an adapter. We went down to the buffet and was surprised at the variety, yet the food was warm/cold but chalked that up to the time we arrived. After two days I asked for the chef to please check the temperature of the food and after that was overall pleased. Usually a hit and miss on goodness and temperature. Lots of good restaurants off the resort also! Staff was very friendly and accommodating even though there are some “entitled “ people out there who think that the world revolves around them and these staff members are their servants. Hopefully you don’t treat your family members that way. You didn’t see the waitress that came to the back in tears, wondering what she did! They are hard working people making a living and they go very long hours.. My favourite is the beach..bring your binoculars and you can sometimes see the whales! Hopefully they can add more chairs and palapas, you have the space, put it to good use! Was good to see wifi going up in the resort and some newer more comfy loungers. There is boogie boards, kayaks, paddle boards, pickleball, bikes all free for use. Overall it was a great place as we have made wonderful friends and I see many of them come back for that reason.

don't go here
Firstly I must say all of the staff were friendly and helpful to their customers. Someone, Algotels [never use!] and the hotel management blame each other for changing my booking from ocean front to the back of the complex and it's where we had to stay. The food looked and tasted like what it was, medeocre at best and left inthe steam trays all day. 5 star my butt.

Great option for an AI in Bucerias
This resort was perfect for our needs. Not fancy but very comfortable room. Amazing friendly staff, especially Alejandra the bartender at the activity pool. Did bikes each day, kayak, yoga.
