Rooms were nice but that's about it
Food was not good - didn't expect too much and that's what we got! I am curious still as to what type of meat the "hamburgers" at the beach truck were made from because it was NOT hamburger! Maid showed up every morning at 8:00 am knocking on the door, be sure to use the DND sign. The room was nice but there are too many other options in Punta with better food IMHO. Also, the maid showed up at 8:00am the day we were checking out - told her we were leaving figuring she would not come back, but an hour later there she was! Will not be returning to this resort. On another note, bartenders were all very nice!

undoubtfully best location. Amazing beach!
We visited Bavaro Princes as a family in April. Stayed in a standard room and absolutely loved everything about it ( especially it was our first trip to DR). In September we decided to return as a couple and went for the Platinum option and stayed there for 10 nights. Stayed in 6021 which was a perfect location between the beach, restaurant, a bus stop and reception. Room was superb, clean and appropriately stocked. The staff was always visible and we could always ask if we needed anything. The only downside was lack of storage. We ended up storing our items in the coffee machine cupboard. The platinum beach Amazing size and perfect location. We walked almost daily between Rius and Los Corales and without any doubt Bavaro Princess has the nicest beach. Platinum beach bar - amazing staff and great selection of drinks. Special thanks to Claudio, Perez and Tony for making our holiday amazing at all levels! Restaurants Being at Platinum we were having breakfasts at the Chopin restaurant which was amazing. Not only the food but the set up and the beautiful view. I would like to thank Gabriela and the singing man for their amazing service. Other staff were also great and very friendly. *Theme restaurants* We used the theme restaurants almost every day. Ate at the main buffet twice but it was very hectic. The theme restaurants were nice and food was lovely but lacking consistency regarding the food. We visited hacienda, Soho, Gaucho, Focaccia and PBG twice and each time the food was served differently- different appearance, the size or even different type of meat. Perhaps keeping the same staff members in the same location would improve the consistency of the service and food served instead of rotation the staff between all restaurants. Other thing that we did not really enjoy was people in restaurant using their phones on a full blast. Adults sitting at the table facetiming other people or scrolling tik toks on a full volume, causing unnecessary level of noise and it impacts the overall dining experience. I have noticed that people from Latin America are obsessed with their phones and social media and there are glued to their phones almost all the time. Using phones on full blast in public places such as restaurants Europe is considered rude. Perhaps a note by the restaurant entrance, to keep your phone on a low volume and refraining from making video calls would reduce the noise level and chaos. This is a 5 star hotel and restaurant like SOHO should be a nice and quiet place do eat and enjoy the holidays. Staff members at all restaurants were extremely helpful and attentive, but special thanks to Miguel A from the Italian restaurant. Platinum reception Very helpful and swift service. Especially Manuel and Harlem - thank you :) Main reception - I found the pick up point extremally chaotic. The staff sitting behind the desk did not seem to know what was going on and what transfer is to arrive. I understand the pressure with the high level of pick ups and drops but some improvement would be beneficial. Perhaps the gate could inform the man behind the desk what vehicle is arriving so they could inform and prepare the guests waiting in a busy pick up area. People selling the timeshares are real pests!!! They do not take " no" for an answer and constantly approach with the same stories. To my understanding they are different company but give a bad name to your hotel as they are based at your premisses. Hotel grounds Beautiful, spacious well maintained and clean. We loved the peacocks, turtles and the mini zoo. Please can the housekeeping staff stop chopping the flowers from the bushes to decorate the rooms. There were not many flowers left as the housekeepers were cutting them every morning. Flowers look much nicer on the shrubs and trees than rotting in the room's bins. Overall experience - amazing hotel with a beautiful beach and really lovely staff. We will definitely return if ever come back to DR. Will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

Amazing property, sad service and activities.
The property was absolutely beautiful! The only thing that was somewhat sad was the service and hospitality. Some people were amazing and very helpful! While many others on the waitstaff were cold towards us very very often. They had some activities there but, the energy of them was never very exciting. The pools close terribly early every night for some reason so you basically have to go sit at dinner for the rest the night or hangout in the sports bar if you want to do anything besides hangout in your room. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to sit on the beach and do nothing the entire trip, it would be a pretty decent place to go to. However if you want a resort and trip with fun activities and great service and staff as well as clear communication and rules then I would recommend this resort.
