  Just OK. Certainly not near the review score.

  Let me start with a caveat that I don't like leaving negative reviews. This place is ok. The staff is amazing also. None of this this is on them. But how is it this highly reviewed here is nuts to me after years of coming to Mexico. I spent a decent bit more than usual and it's just generic and average. Like I could've just went to a Riu and saved a couple thousand. It's my anniversary. I tried 4 times to contact them to try any arrange just a Champagne bottle in the room and to book a nice dinner weeks in advance. They acknowledged my request and nothing. I paid for a penthouse room on an adults only floor. It's just a regular hotel room and there's crying babies down the hall. Not even a couch or loveseat. It's a decent room, but a bit dated and certainly not what I'd call a penthouse. I ordered the Mexican breakfast through room service which was supposed to have eggs and chicken and it was just a plate of soggy nachos with no meat. It's very noisy. I had to book for every restaurant, but some you have to book over here, than others, a different place. Several times they said I had to be a club member for the restaurant while I was clearly wearing the club wristband. Zero water sports. No kayaks, paddle boards. Entertainment, which I don't care much about is almost non existent. Their app is useless. Can't do anything from it. Always have to phone the front desk. No drink dispenser in the room. Constantly having to ask for water and getting mini bottles of water. It's a beautiful location, nice place but just meh for the money.

  Employees are exceptional and will make your stay amazing.

  We stayed at Fiesta Americana for 10 days with family & friends to celebrate a wedding. Hotel met our expectations - relaxing atmosphere. When we checked in - some rooms seemed updated, while others had a musty smell with sub-par air conditioning. That said - we requested those individuals be moved to newer rooms and staff accommodated us. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of options and 3 al a carte restaurants were fine. We all enjoyed Cevicheria each day for lunch. It was the staff who made our stay 10/10. Housekeeping employees were attentive and quick. Servers were always smiling. I would like to mention two of the front desk employees - Mario Rodrigier and Alejandra Comer ( spelling?). From check in to checkout - they were amazing. Super helpful and responsive. Best customer service - always with a smile.

  Great experience for cheap

  Our stay at fiesta Americana was overall wonderful, memorable and magical. Puerto Valletta is a site to behold. Pros: most of the staff was wonderful, transportation is very easy, the excursions were amazing and cheap, weather is beautiful, people are nice. The spa was incredible. Cons: the food was okay, the best food was the easiest stuff like tacos and burgers. I think they need to drop the fancy dining. That’s not what people come to this resort for. They have a vacation club that is similar to a timeshare. It’s probably great if you plan on coming to this resort or one of the other few resorts they have multiple times a year. Otherwise it’s a rip off. They are extremely pushy about this and were quite rude once we said no. The front desk staff, unlike everyone else there, was not very helpful. Our keys kept getting deactivated and we were on the top floor so we’d have to go all the way down, they were not apologetic and actually seemed annoyed at us like we had any control over there mistake.

  Not the Experience We Remembered

  We stayed at Fiesta Americana eight years ago and had such a wonderful experience that we were genuinely excited to return. We just got back from an eight-night stay, and unfortunately, this visit did not live up to our memories. While the resort itself was still okay, it wasn’t nearly as enjoyable as we remembered. Check-in was especially disappointing. Brenda at the front desk was unhelpful and quite rude. When we originally booked our trip back in March, we requested adjoining rooms and were told this would not be an issue upon arrival. At check-in, our request was brushed off entirely, and we were barely given the time of day. Later, we were told we might be able to move to adjoining rooms after a couple of days, but that was ultimately denied as well. Another surprise was how complicated dining and drinks have become at an all-inclusive resort. We don’t recall it being this difficult during our previous stay. Be aware that dinner reservations are required—even for the buffet—which was frustrating. There was also typically only one bartender working, leading to slow service. That said, there were a few bright spots. Pedro at the beach was amazing and truly made our days there better. Antonia was also wonderful and very kind. Overall, this stay wasn’t what we had hoped for, especially given how much we loved our first visit years ago. Sadly, we will not be returning.

  Second time

  Second visit. The staff are wonderful and remembered us. The upgrade is worth it. Thank you staff especially Armando, Rosalio, and 8th floor housekeeping. Sonne club staff Rafael, Ignacio, Andres. We appreciate everything.
