If golf is your game, grab your clubs and tee up for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The 18-hole course at the resort was named one of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play Golf" and features incredible views of sun-drenched beaches and turquoise seas. From fresh seafood at the Ocean Club to thick steaks served in a traditional Bermuda cottage, the Waterlot Inn, your palate will look forward to dinner all day. For a real treat for couples, we think you should order up the Bermuda Moon Dance; a dedicated butler will serve you an intimate five-course meal, including champagne, on the beach. huge property at the top of a hill
Room and bathroom were always clean, the hotel is very large and thank goodness there is a shuttle system that takes you to restaurants along the property and down to the bus stop and beach. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We did research on what travelers said and must see places - unfortunately a lot was closed for their winter season. I didn't expect that. Too cold to swim. We did enjoy the heated indoor pool at night and the hot tub.
Better than Florida
Since my retirement, 5 years ago, we have taken a week away during February to get away from the Pa. weather. Also to celebrate our anniversary. The past 3 years we have gone to Florida. Its crowded and the weather isn't great and expensive. Bermuda, on the other hand is delightful the Fairmont-Southampton resort is fabulous. 9 hole golf course right on the grounds and a private beach within walking , although the shuttle runs back and forth constantly. The public transportation is handy and not expensive, and actually adds to the experience of the vacation. Our concierge; Laverne, was extremely helpful in helping us with our daily trips around Bermuda. We stayed in a King Suite on the 4th. floor. Great view, and very spacious. We highly recommend Bermuda and this Resort.
Pleasure in Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is located on a hill with a fantastic all round view. Plenty of amenities at this hotel with something for everyone. My favorite places were the spa and sports bar. The room was very comfortable with a great view. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff enhanced our experience. This is our top choice hotel when in Bermuda.
Would Love To Go Back!
This was our first trip to Bermuda and the staff at this hotel made us feel appreciated and welcome. Big thanks to Steve the doorman for being so friendly and recommending rum swizzles, my new “medicine” (ha,ha) and Stacy a beautiful waitress at the Jasmine restaurant who made us feel right at home. March is the off season but we still enjoyed the heated pool. Had one great spa day that allowed access to indoor pool and extra amenities like a eucalyptus steam room. Took their shuttle bus and walked the beach and trails of Horseshoe Bay. Hiked up to the Gibb’s Hill Lighthouse. I am not a big drinker but I super enjoyed happy hour at the Borderline Sports Bar! Would definitely go back to this hotel. The only reason I took off one star was the mattress in our room that’d seen better days. Tough on the back. Beautiful room with a walk-in closet however.
It was our first holiday to Bermuda, booked with less than a weeks’ notice due to last minute change of plans, and we weren’t disappointed. The Fairmont is a great hotel in a great location. Despite being low-season the hotel was fairly busy which was good. The food & drink menus are extensive throughout the day at a variety of restaurants. Perhaps overall the staff couldn’t have been more helpful & friendly, particularly Merwyn at the Boundary restaurant, Paul in Jasmine’s & Elizabeth at front of house Jasmine’s. They were particularly welcoming & happy to see to our needs. We weren’t here long, but we would definitely come back.
