Birthday Vacation 2020
We spent 6 days at El San Juan January 17 - 22, 2020 and loved it. The hotel was very clean as were the spacious rooms. Staff was very attentive all around the hotel. This beach front hotel and all the entertainment it had to offer was awesome. We spent many evenings at one of the outdoor bars where Martin works as a bartender making great drinks while making everyone at the bar laugh. He is great to talk to. He has worked there since the opening of the hotel and tells fantastic stories about it. I intend to go back someday to this amazing place.
Cancellation During COVID-19
I wanted to give a big, public THANK YOU to the El San Juan Hotel. We have not been able to stay yet, but they were willing to issue a full refund during the COVID-19 pandemic when our trip was cancelled (even though the terms didn't require it). For this, we will always be grateful. When we are able to rebook our trip, we will be absolutely sure that we stay here. THANK YOU AGAIN.
Do you like MOLD?
Throughout our stay we were plagued with problems, two instances of water dripping in our shower through the walls, a hot room (as they limit the AC to 68+) and a refrigerator that didn't work . Come to find out when we were leaving and picking up our belongings, behind the door to the bathroom there was all of this MOLD. Hopefully we do not get sick, but here are the photos to document it. I told the staff about it and they were going to call me, but guess what... No phone call... Go figure.
Tho hotel is in a great location by the pool and the beach. It is so close to the airport and to many other places on the island. The hotel is walking distance from many food places as well as quick Uber rides to anywhere else you want to go.
Girls trip, we had 2 rooms for 8 of us. The service was great, Juan at the pool took care of us. He was so attentive with food, drinks, replacing our towels. Highly recommend. Room were very clean we stayed in the Pool Villas they were very spacious and had balcony’s. Very easy to grab a cab for all 8 of us going into Old San Juan.
