Oct 17, 2025A 3-Star Hotel, not a resort. AVOID its timeshare!
The good: - Great infinity pool and jacuzzi, open 24 hours - Some employees were great The bad: - It is not a resort, but just a hotel. They say is 5 stars, but is a 3-4 stars at best - Studios are small and very outdated, with the cheapest selection from the local Home Depot - Inconsistent service. The ladies at reservations and the staff at front desk were nasty and raised their voices very easily - Location is far away, with very little to do around. Main attractions are 30 min away - Nearby beach is a disaster, with dark waters and dirty sand, if any - Smelly marina - Resort charges fees for everything. Beware! - Timeshare program is now a disaster, only intended to squeeze owners. DO NOT BUY. And if you are still interested, owners offer online their membership for free - Customer service is a disaster. They simply ignore you I am a timeshare owner since 2000, but did not visit the hotel for the last 5 years. I went there with friends on ultra low season (October), with the resort almost empty. I requested a studio with front ocean views in three different occasions to the ladies at reservations. They were nasty and raised their voices repeating “is upon availability!” (which I fully know). Upon arrival I did not get the requested view, with nobody explaining why. When I complained, the front desk man was also nasty, raised his voice and was very rude. Still did not get it. Instead, they gave us rooms with a side view to the smelly beach. I know they had renovated rooms available with the views, but they give the worst rooms to owners. When I purchased the timeshare program in 2000, it was great. Now is horrible - You get a flexible week (you can use any week subject to availability). Now they have very little availability - If you can not use the week, you could “save” it for 2 years. Now the saving has been reduced to just one year - You could upgrade the studio to a one or two bedrooms by paying a treasonable fee of $250 or $350. Now they increased the upgrade fees 3 times to almost $900 - Monthly maintenance was reasonable. Now it represents the same annual cost of paying a better hotel for a week. Where is the current benefit? - Upon arrival, they still charge you for utilities (up to $25/day) and for taxes ($50). I went with friends and they also charged them $75, even being with me AVOID THE HOTEL AND THE TIMESHARE!

Oct 09, 2025Oyster Bay Beach Resort – A Serene Escape with Stunning Ocean Views
A truly memorable stay. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a breathtaking view of the ocean—perfect for morning coffee and evening reflections. The resort staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was inviting. We ate at the Veranda which I preferred better than Infinity the staff was friendlier especially JaJa who worked breakfast & lunch and then their was Kenny the sweetest boy who always brought you cold water and a cold washcloth when you arrived and by the pool every day. There also was a variety of activities to keep the guest occupied. We would definitely recommend this resort if you want to just relax and be away from it all. The only downside was the debris that washed up on the beach, it would be nice if they served lunch and drinks poolside, the bar was so close and internet was terrible.

We like Oyster Bay. It is quiet enough to enjoy the natural surroundings and close enough to Philipsburg and French Orient Beach to enjoy the more frenetic activity. Food is OK but the staff is very friendly. We suggest taking a car so you can eat out. Definitely will stay there again.

Great at the Veranda Bar
You absolutely must go to the Veranda Bar EVERY DAY when you are here, even if it’s only to say hello to Greg, who is absolutely the best bartender in the universe! His drinks demonstrate artistry, and his personality and demeanor are second-to-none. The best way to describe our experience is to tell you that he made our vacation something to remember. Just a little story that demonstrates exactly who he is. Our house burned to the ground earlier in the year. Greg’s cheerfulness, wisdom, and compassion single-handedly allowed us to heal and taught us to look forward instead of backward. That is no small feat. PS-Happy Hour is from 4-6 daily!

Life is good at OBBR!
Another wonderful week in paradise! The resort is beautiful, the ocean views outstanding. Clean, attractive and well appointed units. Gorgeous, inviting infinity pool with lounge chairs and beach umbrellas - great place for Happy Hour! It’s true the sargassum has taken away the appeal of the once beautiful Dawn Beach. We spent most of our time at the pool as a result. The Activities desk offers a shuttle to beaches unaffected by the sargassum. Plenty of delicious offerings at the Infinity Restaurant, Infinity Bar and the Veranda. Live music every night - not to worry- over by 9pm. First timers - take a tour of the island. Shout out and thank you to staff who made our stay so much more special - David at the Infinity Bar, Sasha our Lobster Night server, Nivea and Philip at the Front Desk, Denzel for adjusting our door lock, Karrick for moving our luggage several times, Yolanda and everyone at the Activities Desk, Venus and Anne and especially to my Lucky Charm (whose name I thought I would never forget, but I have)...the lovely, young woman (standing in for her friend) who served the wine and cheese at the pool and also sang on Thursday, July 31 and brought me good luck.
