Greatest Cancun resort!
I came here for a solo birthday vacation. I know this place is populated primarily by couples but I felt really comfortable by myself. The staff made sure of it. I spent a long weekend here and I really wish I stayed longer. I did not go in the ocean as it was a bit cool outside during early March. The seaweed was there but it wasn’t heavy. From the time I arrived I was treated like royalty. I am in the hospitality industry so I’m very particular and not very easily impressed. I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel and felt as though my long hours of research was well worth it. I love that everything is included..it’s a REAL all inclusive! The mini bar is full and available to you at no extra charge. I asked for a quiet room as I was coming to relax and the staff picked the perfect room for me. I am so thankful for that. The bed in the room is the perfect firmness and felt so good. The resort is huge with several restaurants that cater to any dietary need. I tried most of the restaurants and the room service but as a foodie from nyc I have to say that the food was a little disappointing as far as authenticity and flavor. The pastries all had a similar flavor and yellow tint. Maybe the dairy from the region has something to do with that but I didn’t like the taste at all. It reminded me of cheap bodega pastries. The juices were chunky like it was blended in an oster not a vitamix, bleh! As a New Yorker I appreciate quality over quantity. So even though food is plentiful it just was too bland. The entertainment was awesome though. The entertainment director was a sweetheart(sorry his name escapes me) and he checked on me everyday and even kept my company at some of the events since I was clearly the only solo traveler at the time. It was really nice and it shows that they really care about the guest here. They even remembered that I don’t eat meat and randomly came up to me by the pool with a veggie pizza and champagne(drink of choice). When I tell you impressed I mean impressed! I don’t know how they remember the individual preferences of soo many people?! I had a massage at the spa and It was worth every cent! I thought they didn’t remember my bday as the room was bare on check in but on my actually birthday while I was by the pool they decorated my whole suite with balloons and streamers! Left a card with an individual chocolate cake!!! I felt so special! This was literally the best birthday I’ve had since my mom passed. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for the great time! No detail was spared.
Best resort hands down
I absolutely love this resort! The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The attention to detail is amazing. The food was absolutely melt in your mouth good! Entertainment was spot on. I cannot wait to go back as soon as possible!!!
The Name Says It All - Execellence
This is the fifth time my wife and I stayed at this amazing resort. The place is beautiful and the service is excellent, many of the workers clearly go out of there way to make sure the guests are pampered. The Excellence Riviera has a number of very good restaurants on the property. I would like to give a special thank you to Moisés who went out of way for us to not only have an excellent meal but a beautiful memory for us to share on our last night. The management provide us with a few very nice details in our room, with a nice fruit tray and chocolate covered strawberries, did I mention the birthday surprise for me !
Perfect Getaway with Friends
I spent March 6-9, 2020 being spoiled in a way to which I am unaccustomed. From the wine served as my bags were being whisked away to my room to the attention to my needs at the pool by Saul (who always called me by name, mind you), it was exactly what I needed before the coronavirus came and shut us all away from one another.
Excellence is "WHO THEY ARE"
Mar 8-20 in The Excellence Club Roof Top Ocean Front Room 7360,4th visit When we arrived it was so great to see Jose and his warm smile. He immediately recognized my husband and after big hugs said to me you cut all your hair off. With all the people that this man meets daily how did he remember that little thing?Thank you Jose from the bottom of our hearts for a job well done. There has been some wonderful changes made over 2019 to the resort, "the Kitchen Table" was revamped however the staff is still wonderful. The Grill has now moved indoors the menu has also been updated however the level of service and the excellent food has not changed. The new decking and umbrellas around the club pool have enhanced the enjoyment of being around the pool, as there is more sunbeds and shade available, but to be honest we are beach people so we were able to split our days 50 / 50 which is the first time ever. Moises, Amable and Rosie are still the wonderful people they always have been and their service is impeccable let alone their smiles. Congratulations to Moises and Amable for their new promotions well deserved. The pool concierge gentlemen Fernando, Secondino and Jonathan work so very hard . A very special thank you to Jonathan this year for looking after us for the 12 days that we were there, his work ethics are above standard - job well done Jonathan. This year Fernando was on training for our first week so we did not get to see him as much, but when we did it was like a year had not passed and his level of service was top notch as in previous years. We ate most lunches at Las Olas and being served by Pablo is always a treat especially when the music takes his feet over. Hector who greeted us @ Las Olas I want to send a very heartfelt thank you to him for remembering my husbands "NUT" allergy he even took it upon himself to double check with the chef and walk my husband through the selections, this in itself was outstanding customer service Thank you Hector To our Esther who kept our room sparkling clean and added to our zoo everyday job well done my dear. Migual and Manual who served us dinner on beach your service was white glove quality thank you for making it so very special To Gabriella (Club Manager) and Fatima Young (Guest Relations Manager) from our first email to our last day on March 20 you ladies are the essence of excellence, there was nothing to small or big that you were not willing to help us out with and doing it with a smile on your face and a can do attitude. Even down to cinnamon ice cream (right Fatima) We look forward to seeing you next year. Thomas served us many times and the last one was the Mexican Night on Mar 19 what a amazing man, his care and attention to detail was stellar. Sorry Thomas I could not stay longer I would of cried harder in saying goodbye. Mr. Alberch you having a winning team of all employees through out the resort. And lead by example, we understand it was with heavy heart that the Excellence Corporation had to make the decisions that they made, however this too will pass. Rest assured we will be back for our 5th time. We have been spoiled !!!
