Beautiful El Dorado
This is the second time that we have been to the El Dorado Royale and we loved it the second time even more. It has very beautiful grounds and really hard working and lovely staff. We stayed in a swim-up suite, which was amazing, and had such great service from our two butlers, Rudy and Israel! The a la carte restaurants, Kampaii and Italian Casitas were really wonderful and again two of the waiters, Manuelo and Sylvestre at these restaurants, were so helpful and kind. Everyone was working hard to keep things clean and sanitized, which put us at ease. We'll be back!
Fantastic 5* Adults Only Holiday
Me and my friend stayed at the El Dorado Royale Resort & Spa by Karisma for 7 nights from 15th until 22nd March. From the moment our coach transfer drove into the complex it had the wow factor. All staff were amazing from the bell boys taking our luggage to our room, to the staff that maintain the grounds which were kept immaculate and had lots of iguanas, the pool bar staff remembering our drinks and making sure we always had a drink and to the waiters and waitresses in the restaurants and the entertainment Guacamayans bar. The evening entertainment was really impressive from karaoke, Fire show to Michael Jackson tribute show. There are so many restaurants to choose from we found that spot was our favourite place to have breakfast, we had a few favourite places we liked for dinner which were Santa FE, Kampai there was an Italian restaurant in Casitas which I cannot remember the name of. Also there was an Indian restaurant in the generations resort which is the family section of this resort which was really good it is call habb (I think). There are golf buggies that you can get on to get you around the complex as it’s too big to walk all the way round. You have access to all restaurants in the El Dorado, Casitas and Generations, but you can only use the pools in the part of the complex that you are staying in. We had a fantastic time at the El Dorado Royale it was our first time visiting Mexico and it won’t be the last. We enjoyed lazing by the pool and beach during the day. We also met some really nice people from the UK, America & Canada which also made our stay very enjoyable. Whilst on holiday here the outbreak of the Corona Virus happened and each day got quieter and quieter as guests were leaving and no one arriving so we had a choice of sun loungers. They also done a foam party which was really fun and everyone joined in. We had a twin room and I would say the only negative thing with the room we had was lack of privacy to the bathroom. There is no door to the bathroom but there is a to the toilet, which is next to the hand basin, but this is a glass door with Perspex. There was a like an inch gap around the door so you can see each other on the toilet and no lock on the door. This would not stop me from returning or recommending to friends and family
Fabulous 5* resort-total luxury! Adults Only!
This is our 4th time here- we love it-we have tried different type rooms and floors and even the casitas-they are fabulous! We love the choice of 16 different kinds of restaurants and almost the same amount of bars! The staff are absolutely wonderful and always treat you like royalty!we love that it’s Adults only!
We were there a couple of weeks ago. Lovely well kept hotel, the food was wonderful. The best I have encountered on any holiday abroad. The waiter presents you with the wine list, the cheapest wine is about 40 dollars which is ridiculous but you can have their house white or red no charge which is awful. You are made to feel guilty for refusing to pay for the wine. I felt very awkward at times. The staff seem very happy and will always try and help you. Our concierge were Reina and Jesse we found them very nice and helpful. You will be asked to go on a tour of the hotel which will take about 1.5 hours it doesn’t, it’s more like 3 hours and it is basically time share. We went to cirque du soleil which was ok we have seen it all on Britain’s got talent. We also went to Coco Bongo which was crazy but good fun and we are 68 and 71! We got home at 4.00am. Our room was ok but the light from the landing outside shone straight into our room at night which was annoying. We put a beach towel over the toilet door to block out the light which helped. Nice holiday we would go again but who knows with the corona virus!!
Amazing hotel with wonderful staff, and top notch entertainment!
We had a wonderful time at El Dorado Royale last week for 7 days! It is very quiet, serene, and peaceful, yet certain areas kept the party going depending on what you like to do! We had many people that helped us during our stay and helped to make our stay very memorable. Everyone we encountered had a smile on their face willing to help in whatever capacity we needed! I really enjoyed the separation of the resorts, but that you could use all of the amenities/activities depending on what you wanted to do that day. We were upgraded to the Casitas our last two nights and absolutely loved, loved it!! We started at a swim up at El Dorado Royale and that was amazing as well. One person I want to recognize is Josie from Activities staff. I mean, WOW! She is truly an amazing individual, with so much heart and caring for others. I never saw her without a smile on her face and helping others to have fun. She has so much energy, and that is so contagious to everyone she encountered. We saw her leading one of the night shows at first, and then went on the Greenhouse tour with her the day after. Very very knowledgeable in the different foods that are made, the underground water, and different animals. We saw her again that day at the pool foam party and she had as much energy as she did at 10 in the morning. Such a genuine selfless individual. I hope that the management is able to recognize her in some capacity. We were very sad to leave, and hope to be back very very soon. Christopher Earp
