Jun 28, 2025Need to take the prefer club. Its a game changer for this resort.
We stayed at Dreams Vista Cancun in late February 2025. The hotel is beautiful, the view is absolutely breathtaking, and everything is spotlessly clean throughout the property. However, our trip got off to a rough start: our room was located directly under the rooftop restaurant, and the noise was constant, day and night. Definitely avoid that floor if you’re looking for peace and quiet. To make things worse, our neighbors had extremely loud and poorly behaved children, which made it difficult to relax. After several complaints, Maria, the manager, was amazing. She truly listened and took action by upgrading us to a Royal Corner Suite as compensation. That gesture saved our vacation, and we are very thankful for her professionalism. We paid for the Preferred Club, which gives access to the adults-only rooftop pool and the Vista Prime restaurant. Vista Prime was absolutely outstanding — one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. The other restaurants available to all guests were good, but in our opinion, more like 4-star quality, not 5. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of adults-only guest room areas, especially on the top floors. For the price paid, we believe the 10th and 11th floors should be adults-only. Hearing kids screaming in the hallway or in neighboring rooms really ruined the experience — even in a high-end suite. We would only consider coming back if the hotel creates adults-only floors. Otherwise, despite the stunning views and great service, we won’t return.

We are here on a family vacation. Today is our last day, enjoying it on the beach. Brian has been our waiter on the water all week!!! He is by far one of the best we have ever had on vacation. Always attentive and cheerful! Taking care of all our needs.

This trip was great it truly felt like I was in a dream! The waiters are very handsome as well and that just adds to the experience! I had so much fun on this trip!!! The service was great and i have no complaints what so ever!!! Thank you so much to everyone for making this trip the best time ever!!!!

Stunning views and more views with lots to enjoy!
Wow this resort hotel has views everywhere! The architectural design of the hotel is stunning. I love how the design team timed the shade for the hotel pools. The kids pool is shaded in the morning when the sun is the most intense and it is sunny in the later afternoon when the sun is a tad milder. The big pool is sunny most of the day and then shady later in the afternoon so it kind of works in opposites due to the structure and layout of the hotel main building. It's really nice and ideal. You don’t want to get totally annihilated with sunburn and have your babies getting sunburn - we do what we can to avoid skin cancer. The main pool is truly a stunning pool and the cleanest. We loved the pool in front of the kiddie pool as well. The adult infinity pool on the top floor had a great view but the service was not as good, it got crowded and the pool was a little murky and dirtier. Frankly, I love the shade when I am in intense sun but I can see how if you were here during the winter or fall when the temperature out is in the 60s and 70s , pools in any hotel are going to be colder with that temp. That’s why we prepare to travel to Mexico in the Yucatán late spring to early summer. My husband got melanoma at 40. OSCAR in the preferred concierge area made our trip extra special and he went above and beyond to accommodate us with great service! I cannot recommend him more. He helped us with dinner reservations, helped us take care of our toddler when he got sick, surprised us in a funny way with great things including helping us upgrade our room. He also had a sense of humor and a relaxed smooth way about him. Reynalda our housekeeper had our room immaculate as she was impeccable and we always tipped her daily. You should always tip your housekeeper every time they clean your room, if it’s really messy then you want to tip more. Other honorable staff mentions were Carlos at the Italian restaurant, he was super friendly and helpful every time we walked by him. Alvin down by the beach was nice too. We also really liked Luis at the main concierge. Room service, and their staff were always ultra helpful and exceptionally kind and patient. They helped us with modifications to our orders and never got curt or annoyed. The hotel operators at the end of the line were always stellar as well. I misplaced something in my room and they were quick to let security know and check with lost and found immediately. They also connected me with various external numbers several times. They were always polite and helpful and never impatient. They even looked up things for me on google and called other areas of the resort for us! The spa was real nice and my masseuse at the spa Gladys was great. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the hydrotherapy circuit. It was very small and quick and the jets were a little weak. The beach is narrow, but it’s lovely and has great views of the area and Palapas, which I prefer to beach umbrellas because the umbrellas are kind of flimsy anywhere you go. The palapas are just more authentic to the region. The hammocks in the ocean are pretty incredible and they’re clean so you don’t have to worry about getting some grime from someone else on you. We loved how you can also walk down right away to either side of the beach and there are dock chairs and mini sofas viewing areas by the pools for more and more views! We stayed in a beautiful corner, master suite ocean front room, and the view there too was absolutely stunning. Kind of disappointed that there was not a sit down menu restaurant for families during the day for breakfast and lunch but the outdoor lunch offerings at the taco bar and outdoor hamburger, crepe and sushi stations were all good . The buffet was OK and at times there were some really good items on it and I loved how they did the charcuterie and antipasti. We loved the preferred lounge for drinks, snacks and even breakfast almost daily. The servers and main bartenders in the preferred lounge were excellent and that’s pretty much where I got my drinks almost every day. I love the food in there as well. You can actually go to the preferred lounge or the coffee bar for breakfast or lunch items and it is pretty good. We loved the coffee shop also for gelato when we were not too full already! The lobby bar is so pretty and had live music often. Our favorite restaurant was Vista Prime for location, decor, views, food and service! It was not difficult to dine with our toddler and we had dinner at the upstairs Blue Water Grill without the babe a couple times. The fish in the beautiful main lobby area were so lovely and entertaining (it's all outdoors with stunning views!). The shows and entertainment were always fun and casual. Most of the staff was terrific and we truly liked this resort overall and will probably return for many of its unique property features, the VIEWS, our great room and to see Oscar again! Don't forget to tip everyone and enjoy a great stay here!
