What a great week with family!
Was such a great week. Rubi from the entertainment staff has the best smile and vibes! Service at the resort was excellent throughout the week. Yoga was excellent and at the most beautiful location. We had a lovely room - it was a junior suite ocean view with two double beds overlooking the golf course. We travelled with our two girls ages 11and 15. This resort didn’t have as much afternoon and evening entertainment as we are used too. We were at this same resort a couple years back and they really have cut down on the amount of evening shows. (Not sure if it was that time of year) It is a smaller resort but we never felt overcrowded The chairs by pool weren’t overly hard to get if you were up by 7:00am. The beach and sand was 10/10. Different than a lot of other resorts - not much beach but the sand is white and when there is no wind the water is incredible. (We had three days of water that looked like turquoise glass) Just incredible. Not a lot of beach to walk - but we did walk to the ferry and go to isle mujeres for a day. Food was excellent at all restaurants. My favourite was the Himitsu. Over all a great week - was thoroughly enjoyed by my entire family.

Entertainment staff was the highlight
Everyone we met was incredibly nice. The hotel was clean and up-to-date. There were good restaurants, but it would obviously be a better experience if you were a preferred member. We did not go that route and had a some restrictions. Our highlight was zameer on the activities team. There were 10 in our party and we all agreed he was a highlight! He was the best and so patient with the kids! Zeus was also great!

Lackluster and dissapointing
Just an overall disappointing experience from a Hyatt Dreams resort. I'm not even sure where to start. We had 5 rooms in our group and some were on one side and some on the other, making the two elevator banks being so far apart an inconvenience. And to add on top of that, one of the elevators was out making the wait extra long. While we were there, the adult pool temperature was too cold to enjoy since the heater was out. The kids weren't able to really play in or enjoy the kid area since the sun didn't really get to that area and the water was too cold due to the heater being out. The disappointing part was no one said anything to us or even told us what happened, we found out through word of mouth. The food overall was very underwhelming. We went to pretty much all the restaurants and most of the time the food we were served was already cold. The food options in the World Cafe was pretty much half the normal offering for the all inclusive we've been too. It got to the point where we decided to leave the property for our last dinner as 5 days was too many days. We all paid for the preferred club and we find out the Preferred Club was taken over by the unlimited vacation club people trying to pressure sale us. They sent in 3 managers and seemed like they wouldn't take no for an answer. Then to top it off, my mother in law opened the bathroom door in the women's restroom that was barely lit and the jagged edge of the door ripped off her toe nail and cut her foot. This was next to the dinner service event and they just kept her there next to everyone eating/getting food while someone had my sister in law direct them on how to clean and bandage the wound. We have pictures, we're happy to share. The manager did nothing to make up for it, instead tried to blame her and asked her to sign a waiver. She wasn't able to use the pool for the remainder of our stay and is still recovering. No considerations were given to her, not even giving her a late checkout of 1 PM when she asked. So in summary, poor food, poor hospitality, inconvenient getting from side to side, pool heater was out, injured from poor lighting and jagged door, preferred club was lack luster, and nothing above and beyond (which one would expect from a Hyatt property.) We would NOT visit again.

It is not very child-friendly for children between 0 and 4 years old.
The Children’s Water Park is located in an area where the sun never reaches it, and the water is freezing. The children did not enjoy it because it was very windy, and there is no way for them to play in any area of the park. The water is not heated, which results in no children using the facilities at any time of the day. The children’s playroom is very dirty, does not have enough toys, the area is poorly maintained, and it is not good in any sense.
