Feb 06, 2026Nice resort but not necessarily meant for adults traveling without kids
The ala carte restaurants were excellent; the staff was super friendly and accommodating; room was spacious and very clean. However, resort only has 1 pool and is a ton of families with small children travel to this resort. There were 5 year old literally snorkeling in the hot tub (which was luke warm at best). They have a very nice kids pool and small water park but the families did not use it; they were all in the main pool which really impacted our enjoyment and access to the amenities. The beach is very small so if you're a beach person this is probably not the resort for you! We're pool and foodie folks so those two things have a big impact on our vacation. Again, there were 3 ala carte restaurants we had access to and all were fabulous! We usually eat breakfast in the buffet, lunch at a snack shop and dinner at the ala carte. They had a cool outdoor lunch area with Asian, Mexican and American food selections. That was really nice and great way to grab a quick bite without dealing with the craziness of the buffet.

Our service at Bluewater Grill was always excellent. The food was delicious and the service was so accommodating. Richard, Mario, and Geyler were always professional and provided such friendly and excellent service.

Staff and resort A+++
Amazing service the blue water grille was a specific stand out!! We had breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner there. Often we’d have Geyler, Richard and Mario. Their friendly faces were always a warm greeting. We are looking forward to our next dreams vacation!! Honourable mentions!! Jorge best bartender around. Zeus and his brother Zamar were excellent entertainers. Highly recommend this resort the staff is the gold

Great experience
Excellent service from all. Especially from Mario, Richard and Geyler at the Bluewater Grill. Also the entertainment staff Zeus and Zamar were great. Worth every penny.

Was very excited to try this Hotel especially for the holidays. I unfortunately, would not recommend it especially for a family. We had a family trip and unfortunately had to cancel my parents stay for medical reasons. The rest of us still went. I had been calling and sending emails letting them know what I could do. I didn’t not want to loose my money and wanted to know if I would get a refund on their room or if I should take someone else. They waited days after our stay to say we wouldn’t get a refund. They also told Amex that we never checked in. I personally asked when we checked in if my parents room was still there (since I never got a response). The front desk said the room was no longer in the reservation. It is NOT KID FRIENDLY… the kids pool is cute but the water is freezing. It doesn’t help that it does not get sun at all. The pool for adults is also cold. You can tell that they can’t make up their mind whether they want it to be an adult or family hotel. Also, good luck using their app to book dinners at the restaurants. The reception staff doesn’t really help and are rude. The waitstaff is amazing but the hotel management sucks and they don’t care. Thought this would be a nice hotel but rather stay in the ones I already know that are kid friendly, nicer and give great customer service.
