  Getting away from the Cold Winter in Winnipeg!

  This was our first time at a Dreams resort & we had a great vacation! The resort is extremely clean. Staff was very efficient & welcoming! Food was really good. Pool was awesome & the beach is beautiful! So Nice to not have to make reservations for ala carte restaurants. Bar service was great with lots of variety of name brand liquor. We would definitely return for another vacation!

  Wonderful !

  Absolutely wonderful time! The resort is so well run, the staff is amazing, particularly Andrey from the Bordeaux Restaurant. Clean, with so much space and many places to find solitude, a true oasis in Mexico! Loved it !

  Fun and Relaxation in Paradise

  We just returned from a week at Dreams Tulum. I hope my notes will be helpful to anyone considering a visit. Room: We booked a Preferred Ocean View room, and asked for a quiet location with a great view, and Dreams delivered. It was perfect --- just steps from the Preferred beach but very close to the bars and restaurants. The room has been recently updated and redecorated and was pretty and comfortable. The switches and wiring are kind of wacky and we had to ask to have the auto nightlight on the bed frame disabled because it drove us nuts. Otherwise, it was lovely. Beach: The Preferred beach is very nice and there were always plenty of chairs, towels, umbrellas. There is limited food service from Seaside Grill (but it was delicious!) and from Barefoot Grill. I was a little disappointed that, unlike every other Dreams we've been to, the buffet doesn't allow take-out for the beach. Still, you can grab bites from the Preferred lounge or Coco Cafe to go, and the seafood beach cook-out was phenomenal. There is a beach butler on duty every day. He was friendly and helpful the first two days, but after that all beach butlers devoted pretty much all of their attention to the guests who had rented Bali beds. I understand that these hard-working folks want to earn as much in tips as possible and that those guests are probably the biggest spenders, but it felt a little insulting at times. Food: As always, I read a lot of complaining about the quality of the food in reviews and on the Facebook fan page. Honestly, we enjoyed every single thing we ate. We had at least one meal everywhere except Gohan and Himitsu (my husband doesn't like Asian food) and all of it was fresh, delicious, and nicely presented. Entertainment: Never a dull moment, and there's something for everyone. We enjoyed Erick's minicourse on iguanas, and I took part in Evelyn's sun salute three times. The shows were also fine. I loved it that there was music everywhere, whether it was canned ambient music during the day or live acts at night. The musicians who played at Sugar Reef in the evenings were all excellent, and the Latin trio had everyone tearing it up on the dance floor. I also appreciated it that some of the Entertainment staff who had been working the "party pool" all day stayed around to dance with guests. So, so fun! Last and definitely not least, people are not exaggerating in their praise of this staff. They're all wonderful. Special shouts out from us to the following: 1. Preferred concierges Manuel and Paola, who were kind, friendly, patient, and accommodating in answering all my questions and in responding to one frustrating situation. 2. Preferred beach waiter Enrique, who is cheerful, friendly, professional, and engaged with ALL guests, and made sure I had everything I needed. Laura and Aida also did a good job. 3. Bartenders Jorge and Filiberto at Portofino and Bordeaux were also extra friendly, professional, and on top of their game. 4. Bartender Everisto at Sugar Reef is an absolute dynamo. He single-handedly and deftly served people three deep at the bar without missing a beat, while staying cool as a cucumber. He is also friendly and remembers your drink. 5. Waiters who stood out for personality and professionalism were Miguel at Portofino and Eddie at El Patio. 6. Erick from Entertainment was friendly and engaged with everyone. Evelyn's daily sun salute, was intereting, moving, and refreshing. She's a gem. Anyway - gracias por todo, amigos!

  The worst person At Dreams Tulum

  Terrible experience with DJ Rodrigo. Bad attitude, very rude, reeked of alcohol, and completely un attentive to guests. Wouldn't recommend his service.
