We just got back from our wedding at Dreams Sapphire. Destination wedding was a dream, spending days with our friends and family, being on the beach, celebrating in paradise. The wedding team at the resort was absolutely amazing to work with. Communication was great, planning was very straight forward. We got an awesome room upgrade, which was quite nice too! Our wedding coordinator, Lulú, made sure that everything went smoothly and the set up of the events was far beyond our expectation. It was truly a dream! The flowers, decor, service, all beyond our expectations. That also goes for our rehearsal dinner. Carmen, who was supporting Lulú during the day of, was also great to work with. I truly did not have to worry about anything related to the setup of the wedding. Special mention for our wedding waitress, Carina. She was a true hero of the wedding party. Everyone’s drinks were always filled, she was also super helpful in a dress emergency! She went above and beyond! The officiant from the resort, Socorro, was also incredible. Made our ceremony personal and truly special. We talked about what we were looking for in our ceremony prior to our wedding and Socorro delivered 100% on what we discussed. All in all, if you are considering a destination wedding, the Dreams Sapphire wedding team is truly amazing!

The resort is much quieter than Dreams Riviera, which we visited last year . The pool is very busy and unless you are up at 6am, you will not get a chair . The same goes for the beach . The culture of the resort is a little bit manic . People hoarding towels, scavenging food and swarming like hawks at all buffets. It’s quite stressful . I’m not sure if the clientele is low end or if the disorganized layout is causing people to feel anxious. DO NOT BOTHER WITH PREFERED CLIB UNLES YOU ARE I DIGO. Zero amenities or perks. The lounge is never stocked . They let a time in so it’s all picked over. Don’t waste the money. The staff work hard but the food is bad and salty . The gym is a joke . My basement gym is larger and has more Equipment . Slides are great .

Wedding Review
My husband and I got married on November 8th and it was everything we could’ve ever dreamed of! Even with a few hiccups that only we knew about. Ceremony: Garden chapel Reception: Vista Del Mar Coordinator: Veronica Decor: Partylogue vendor Florals: Resort Photo/Video: Adventure Photos and Israel was our photographer. He is a true professional and took AMAZING photos DJ: Resort Hair & Makeup: Bridal suite in the spa. I had Rosy and she was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Around noon of getting ready, I was in the chair getting my makeup done when I got the bad news that I needed to be moved indoors due to bad weather forecast. I obviously had a meltdown, but did not want to take the risk of my guests getting poured on. Therefore, we were moved inside Vista Del Mar for both cocktail hour and reception. We believe everything happens for a reason, because we had AN ABSOLUTE BLAST. We still had the entire venue reserved, so my guests were able to enjoy the whole pergola, while not being pulled indoors off the dance floor to the bar. The dance floor was set up directly next to the bar which kept EVERYONE partying all night. Veronica upgraded our chairs, chargers, silverware, goblets, and included a few extra decoration items. She TRULY is a master at her craft and we trusted her the whole day despite a big unplanned change. The bridal suite was beautiful. Miss Rosy is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone. We had 5 stylists for my 6 girls in the suite. The resort DJ I never had a conversation with prior, just submitted my DJ form and he was AMAZING!!!! Our cocktail hour snacks were delicious, just one wasn’t what we chose. We ended up with ceviche instead of Sangrita shots ( which is ok, just wasn’t what we chose.) Our entrees were the beef bordalaise and salmon, both were very good but salmon was way well done compared to how I typically like it. The garden chapel was so beautiful! Our minister Soco was so sweet and very well spoken. We had a live violinist for this and it was truly magical. Really can’t recommend this place enough. The money is SO well worth it, and they will more than likely throw in free upgrades. We are soooo sad to leave but will definitely be back!!! Our guests will be talking about our wedding for a long time!!!

Nov 22, 2025With so many nice resorts in Cancun why stay at such a poorly managed old property.
Old hotel in need of refreshing. Tiny beach that appears to be 8' from water to shore with rotting seaweed covering the sand. We considered the beach unusable. The food was absolutely terrible and served cold. Much of the food on thebuffets seemed stale and reserved from prior meals. 90% of the breakfast buffet was dinner from the previous day (hopefully) We were surprised that Hyatt would lend their name to such a run down poorly managed property. We only stayed here to attend a wedding. The staff are plentiful and fantastic. Since we did not speak spanish language was a large problem for us.
