This is not a Dreams standard. Resort is run down, small and inadequate. Birds everywhere. Looks more like a one pool overrun water park. Beds were horribly uncomfortable and rooms were outdated.

We typically go to Beaches resorts, so we weren't 100% sure what to expect at Dreams Sapphire. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing all of the staff were on the resort! They really made the stay amazing! The one thing I will say needs improvement is the dinner situation. You can't make reservations (except the Hibachi) and in order to even eat at the restaurants, you have to have your whole family dressed and ready for dinner and be one of the first people in line at the restaurants. This is a pain! They really need to give our buzzers (only 1 restaurant did this) and honestly, if they had more staff in the restaurants, they could move more groups through. If you weren't one of the first people in line and immediately get a table, your wait was like 2 hours and 45 minutes! So if they could solve this problem, I honestly would give it 5 stars! The other comments are from my teenagers ages 13-19. They think there should be soft serve ice cream (this was a huge complaint), the dinner issue as mentioned above, and that they would have liked grilled cheese as an option and so more "kid" type foods. Oh, and they felt the Hibachi should have dipping sauces for the meat and lo mein type noodles (apparently my kids all love the noodles over rice). Apparently for kids it is the little things! I would also highly recommend the tour to see the 4 Cenotes if your family is adventurous. My kids tell everyone this excursion day was their favorite day of our trip!

This resort is incredible. Great customer service all around, amazing food, comfortable, clean rooms, ample entertainment. Delicious drinks, cute cafes, lots of fun things to do!

Distinctly Average All-Inclusive Resort
A disappointing All Inclusive hotel, with limited drinks choice and very average food in the "speciality" restaurants. The main buffet restaurant has no windows and was not an enjoyable space to enjoy a meal. The public spaces got very dirty during the day and the hotel had some plumbing issues with toilets - not pleasant. The pool and beach area were good, if somewhat crowded and bar service was prompt. However, having stayed at other All Inclusive resorts in Europe and The Americas this is a poor option for the price.

Nice hotel with some great trips available, like a free shopping tour with tequila tasting. The pool entertainment is fun, especially the aqua aerobics with Abraham; he is brilliant. For the evening entertainment, there are external groups that come in, which are very talented. There is good poolside service for drinks, so you don't have to get them yourself, although there is a bar if you want to get them yourself, which you can also access from the pool.
